Formerly a higher review-- deleted because of their egregious lack of generosity. Self- Service kiosks and high prices should have made it possible to get a bigger cup for water. The response was " I have to pay $4 for a bigger cup-- that was EMPTY ". How many people ask for larger cups? In light of the " Highway Robbery" Pricing and doing all the ordering work-- one might think that a smile and free larger drinking cup would be possible. Yet, Shake Shack has the audacity to have a " Tip option " on the Self-Service kiosk. Shortsighted to LOSE a loyal customer and garner a negative PUBLIC review over a few cents. read more

A made-to-order quarter pound per patty of 100% Angus beef with American cheese, topped with a 'Shroom Burger (Crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses) with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. First time at this Shake Shack location on El Paseo at Palm Desert. Great location and parking is available right on the street next to the eatery. This location is spacious and plenty of tables and chairs for dining both inside the eatery and outside. As soon as we entered the eatery we were greeted with a smile. Excellent customer service from the beginning of our transaction until the end when they delivered our food to our table. They even checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything else. As always, Shake Shack burgers are delicious, flavorful and just the right size. The bread is soft and not too sweet. The Shake Shack sauce is just the right amount of tang and a hint of paprika. We like it! Fries are crispy and not too greasy. Great to know there's a Shake Shack location to frequent when we are on this side of town. Will definitely let our friends and family know about this location since they too frequent the Palm Desert and Palm Springs area. read more

Not a big fast food person myself but our kid wanted to try shake shack and I thought it was really delicious . I had the fried portabello and it was bomb. and the 2 double cheeseburgers they had looked amazing and fresh and my dinner partners loved them ! also had fries and onion rings and choc and banana shakes and everything was delicious and fresh . Came by and there was plenty of street parking for a Friday afternoon. Theres parking in the back as well. Its a very clean location. Well maintained and staff was really nice. Theres actually a lot of seating inside and outside. There even some tables out back. Inside was nice and clean. I really like the art on the wall. This spot just has a chill vibe to it. Wes helped us out. Very helpful. I ordered a smoke stack with fries. Really good. Looks kind of small but it ended up being a good size for me. Tasty with a little bit of sweetness to it. Mediocre spot. In n Out is way better, at half the price $90 for 4 people at a fast food joint is insane. The burger was meh. The fries were ok, cheese on them was too thick. Dining area was normal. Best part was the manager walking around providing refills to the guests. Otherwise non interaction with staff since you place your order yourself. Not for me. I originally ordered my food for dine in but asked to change to take out because I'd rather eat in my car than on the sidewalk. We waited 30 minutes for our order, my float was melted. Ok, mom and I went to shake shack in Century City when they first opened and it was absolutely delicious. Then we went to Woodland Hills when they first opened and it was not good .then we went to Thousand Oaks when they first opened and that one was even worse than Woodland Hills. This one we were hoping would be as good asCentury city. The hamburgers were just mediocre. The french fries were very good and so was the lemonade with kiwi. The vanilla shake was just OK. Nothing specially. My hamburger was a double meat patty with french fries and a shake for $26. Mom's single patty hamburger with lemonade was $19. These prices are at least triple In-N-Out Burger In-N-Out burgers are way better. The french fries are better here though. If we were to come back we would just get a lemonade with kiwi and an order of fries. Sometimes that's what we have for lunch if we are going out for dinner. read more

I was hungry for a hamburger so we went to Shake Shack. First time here, I ordered a double burger with bacon and crispy onions. First, they brought out a lettuce wrap burger which was incorrect and sent it back for a bun. After, I check to see what was on it, very little shack sauce, lettuce, and onion. Although you order your own food at Shake Shack, we received very good service here. My boo ordered a double patty on his burger with bacon along with cheese fries. He loved his food. Shake Shack is his favorite sit-down burger "because it's juicy" and the prices are fair. I like the way the cheese fries come with a pick so that you can keep your fingers clean. :) I had the Veggie Burger without cheese, and it was OK. I've had the Beyond burger at Shake Shack a couple of times and loved it. The fries were good but a bit salty this time. The staff came and checked on our progress and offered extra condiments. Refills are free, so I got one. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we will be back because we're regulars now. read more

I wasn't impressed or unimpressed. The veggie burger I got could have been more charred for my liking, the shake was good, the fries were a good crisp. I'm glad they have avocados to add to burgers. The ingredients were fresh enough. The only thing is that the kiosk/ordering area is a bit tight when it gets crowded. I also sat outside and didn't see any trash cans to throw my things away. We're so excited to have a Shake Shack nearby! We visited on Thursday during the opening week, so it was understandably busy. We didn't mind the 30-minute wait for our food, though we did have to hunt for a table and clean it ourselves. The building and location are charming, with plenty of parking and easy access. Once our food arrived, it was exactly what we love about Shake Shack--delicious and satisfying! We'll likely wait a little while before returning to let the initial rush settle down, so we can enjoy the experience as we would at any other Shake Shack location. read more

I'm a little disappointed with my recent purchase this evening. I saw the new K-Shack chicken sandwich and it looked so good. I've eaten here before and I've had their food many times including their chicken sandwiches and the quality is always really good. The reason I'm disappointed is not because the food was bad, I'm disappointed because I feel like the size is significantly smaller than it was not that long ago. The chicken sandwich was more of a chicken slider. If I had known I'd be paying $13 ( including a 10% tip ) for a slider, I would have either got more food or just skipped it. 4 bites and it was done and now I don't have time to go back and I'm still hungry. Maybe it's just the limited time item I got today? Or maybe they really cut back on size and kept the price the same? Either way, I'm less likely to be back very soon. If you're a Boomer, you might not care for this place. You have to do everything except cook your own burgers. Even after doing your food order in the computer , you have to tell the machine what number your order is in order to receive it. But, wait! They bring you your tray of food and no napkins. You have to get up and get your own. The music playing is very loud. Now, the food. A McDonalds burger is much less expensive and better tasting. Don't order the cheese fries unless you love "Cheese Whiz." Lettuce is a small wilted piece of greenery. This is definitely a Gen -Z hangout. read more

It could not have been cooked fresh. My burger was less then good. I think FRESH PET would have tasted better. My wife had a hot dog. We should have gone to Wienerschnitzel. What a great new addition to Palm Desert eateries. Great people and friendly service. Had the Black Truffle Burger. Oh my gosh. Talk about a taste sensation in your mouth. Truffle sauce, a large helping of beef burger, and those fabulous crispy fried super thin onions. The bomb!!! Added crunchy deep fried crinkle cut fries with parmesan cheese. Too good not to pass up. And Christmas Cookie shake. So icy cold and super rich. I'm gonna go back for that one. And I've got to go back to try more of those great burger creations. Highly recommended. read more

I have never eaten at Shake Shack before and wanted to see for myself what all the hype was about at this eatery. The location is easily accessible, and curbside parking is available near the entrance. Upon entering, I was surprised by the ambiance and simplicity. Ordering is available at the counter or by machine. I felt somewhat rushed because the customers were impatient to get their orders in. The menu is very high up and is hard to read at close proximity. But the staff (Junior, Jr.) was quick and knowledgeable, and answered questions and gave suggestions as to what to order for the first-time customer. I ordered the ShackBurger and asked for onions on top. My order was delivered to my table quickly and with a warm smile. I was pleasantly surprised by the moist flavor of the burger, and the fries were warm and tasty. I asked for a cup for water and was able to serve myself at the drink station by the counter. My final tab was $13.57, which was reasonable. The seating is comfortable and the dining area is clean. Overall, my visit was a positive one. Here's a big shout-out to Junior (Jr.), my food handler, for his professionalism and for making my first visit pleasant. He handed me $10 off my next visit card, which is good until December. It was the WORST from this establishment EVER! Pure garbage. My order was delivered literally a few minutes later, and it was the WORST food I have ordered from this location. Fries that looked and tasted like they were frozen, with no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. No sauce was given for the fries, or for my DRY square veggie burger! It was also tasteless. The burger was as thin as thin could be, there was about 1/2 teaspoon of sauce on it at most, two TINY, THIN crispy fries that fit in a teaspoon, and that was it. I knew I had been taken when my order was ready two minutes after I ordered it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GARBAGE! BUYER BEWARE. read more
