I grew up on the east coast, where frozen custard is everywhere. (Out here in CA it's not as common) I was out in town and craving sweets. I remembered at a yelp event, shake shack was there handing out custard. As soon as I walked in, not just the girl at the counter, but even the lovely cooks in the back and other workers all said, welcome in. The customer service here is amazing, and definitely deserves 5 stars. I went up to the counter and ordered because I didn't see on the regular menu the scoops of custard. (I probably missed it. I saw all the delicious shakes listed though) That's when I met the amazing, Yaya. She was so helpful, she was really sweet and friendly and she was great at small talk I ordered 2 frozen custards, Yaya asked if we wanted any toppings. So we got one with just whipped cream and then one with crushed Oreos and whipped cream Yaya, buttered us up and asked us what name to put down for us pretty girls and our order We looked around for a bit while waiting. It only took about 2-3 minutes for our custard. So we took a peak around. We saw a sign saying that they have a first aid kit if needed and they have a CPR kit located behind the front counter. Which, I thought was really cool. This location of shake shack was also extremely clean. (I have ordered shake shack from Uber Eats, but have not been inside this location before) We got the custard to go, and after a couple minutes we were on our way. -I can't stress how friendly the workers were. Not just, Yaya, but every single staff member greeted every person who walked in. -The place was extremely clean -They do have kiosks, the kiosk even has Braille, which read, ask staff to enable voiceover -they have way more menu items than I thought! Came in around 9:30 pm this past Thursday evening after late class at CSULB. The restaurant was empty except for two guests at a table eating. The young woman who greeted me asked if I was there for pickup. I said no and then she proceeded to put pick up orders together while I stood there. After a few minutes putting pickup orders together she then walked away back to the kitchen and left me standing there without taking my order. I was the only person at the counter and the only one in the restaurant besides the two guests eating at the booth . There were a few cooks in the back. The person who greeted me asking if I was there for a pick up order never came back out to take my order. I was simply ignored. After a couple of minutes standing at the counter with no sign of anyone coming to take my order I was about to leave and go somewhere else when someone else who was either coming back from their break or was about to clock out came from the lobby and asked if I had been helped. I said no and she proceeded to take my order. She was friendly. May have been the manager or shift lead on duty, not sure. Ordered a shack burger, fries and a vanilla shake to go. The regular shack burger was so tiny. Looked like a kids meal burger from the size. Had a weird taste as well. The main issue was how small it was. Good enough to wait 30+ minutes for? No. And, I would say that for the overall Dubai Chocolate phenomena. Most Middle Eastern restaurants serve knafeh, with some offering Nutella-topped knafeh. That is a cheaper, and much better, original version of Dubai Chocolate. Shake Shack's version was cool & refreshing, however. The toasted kataifi gave the drink the crunch of Frosted Mini-Wheats. The chocolate shell was akin to Magic Shell chocolate syrup. Pistachios are pretty pricey, so having a generous amount of chopped pistachios was a plus. Great on a hot day, I was satisfied with my Dubai Chocolate Pistachio shake. Service was excellent. The manager was friendly and didn't have to fill me in on the restocking of supplies from the truck. He made sure to create my shake, despite not having to make it a priority. Plenty of seating inside & out, Shake Shack is located across Fire Wings at 2nd & PCH. My initial visit to a Shake Shack was at a Los Angeles branch, and I left underwhelmed with their burger. Shake now has a self service kiosk. Fairly user friendly but some customizations you can do at the register you can't do on the kiosk! Examples, no way to add mustard on a hot dog (just pick up the packets and squeeze!); no way to add lettuce to a Smoke Shack burger. Definitely took longer to put our order in vs at the register but many are switching out to kiosks. Burgers and hotdog were very good. Fries and fried pickles also very good. I've been a fanboy of shake shack for a long time. In my first trip to Manhattan in 2011, I went to the original location in Madison Square Park. My friends and I enjoyed the "beefy" flavored blend of the burger over their potato roll so much that we ended up checking out five other shack locations in the remainder of that trip. Ten years later, their first location on the west coast opened at New York, New York in Las Vegas in Vegas' version of MSG and "the park". We checked it out in their opening month. I'm glad that we have now have a location locally in Long Beach at 2nd and PCH. I still really enjoy their beefy burgers and their shakes; however, their fries remind me of Ore Ida and I don't love the prices and the small portion sizes of their sides. Pain is driving 45 minutes to Shake Shack Long Beach for their limited Dubai chocolate shake and them selling out 2 customers before me I called them and they said they had 11 shakes left when I was exactly 11 minutes away so I'm still shocked it sold out that quickly, however these 2 items made up for it Black truffle burger 8.32/10- honestly this burger was insane. It was made with Gruyère cheese, crispy sweet onions, and black truffle sauce made with real black truffle oil. The black truffle sauce was incredible - it had this deep, rich flavor that you can tell comes from using actual truffle and not just artificial flavoring. It kind of reminded me of the TRUFF sauce but less intense and more integrated with the other ingredients. The Gruyère cheese had this amazing nutty flavor that paired perfectly with the truffle, and the crispy sweet onions added this perfect textural contrast and subtle sweetness that cut through the richness. I honestly prefer shake shack's chicken burgers to their angus beef but this was incredible and the beef patty was juicy and perfectly cooked with that signature smash burger crust. All the flavors melded together so well in every bite. Avocado bacon chicken 9.56/10- this is one of my favorite burgers if not my favorite from shake shack (I still miss the limited Thai green curry chicken shack ). They put a huge piece of chicken breast and it was fresh and perfectly breaded. The avocado was also incredibly fresh and buttery. The bacon was cooked to that ideal point where it's crispy but not burnt, with that smoky-sweet flavor that complemented the creamy avocado and juicy chicken perfectly. I had never tried Shake Shack before, but had heard a lot of hype, specifically about their fries. Our experience was...a mixed bag. The food was pretty expensive for what you get. Three burgers (two singles, one double), two fries, a fountain drink, and a shake ran us about $60. I know it's 2025 and in this economy, but maaaaaaaan. That's a lot of money for a pretty basic meal (granted it was tasty, but still). Their fries game was strong. One order came out hot, crisp on the outside and pillow-y on the inside. The second, not so much. Luckily, it was blanketed with cheese sauce (made spicy with a cayenne blend that may be seasonal, I'm not sure). So it wasn't a total flop. Service was super hands off. My second time here at the Shake Shack in Long Beach at the 2nd & PCH Shopping center. Parking can be hard, but fortunately it was an early Friday evening before the dinner rush that we came just to pick up from Shake Shack. I find shake shack to be pricey because their burgers just seem small compared to other burger spots, but currently they have a BOGO offer on their Korean inspired flavors for burgers, Chicken sandwich, Chicken Nuggets and French fries. I had to see what it was all about. So I ordered one of each Korean inspired item. I must say, if you can eat it there, I highly recommend that because by the time I got home, the chicken sandwich did not travel well as it lost its crispness, but the flavors were still there and the chicken was still tender and flavorful. The burger was ok. I didn't care too much for the sweet sauce. The Korean seasoning on the fries with the cheese was really good. I also thought the ShackSauce was mid - like Chick-fil-A's signature sauce except more watery and less robust. I liked the chicken bites quite a lot, but I don't know if I can withstand the saltiness again. I also shared an order of their cheese fries ($5.49) and the ShackBurger ($7.99). Both were good! Recently, Shake Shack added some Korean offerings to their menu: Korean BBQ Burger, Korean Style Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Spicy Korean BBQ Fries, with or without cheese. Recently, I also signed up for marketing emails from Shake Shack to see if there were any special promotions or offers. Right off the bat, I was given a promo code for $5 off a purchase of $15+ that would expire in 30 days. The code would only work on the Shack app. A couple days before I placed my order, I looked at the menu to see what I could get for $15. When I saw the menu on my phone one time, I saw the Korean menu items, but when I saw the menu on my computer at a later time, I didn't see the Korean menu items. I thought I was going crazy! However, I later found out that the specialty Korean offerings were only available through the app. And since my promo code would only work in the app, it only made sense to order a Korean burger/sandwich plus some fries. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was a half dollar more than the burger, but that half dollar was a big difference in deciding between the two. In conjunction with the Spicy Korean BBQ Cheese Fries, the sandwich would have gotten me over $15, but I would have been two pennies short of $15 to qualify for the $5 off had I chosen the burger. The fries come with kimchi seasoning, cheese sauce, and Korean BBQ sauce on the side. However, in the app, you can customize your order to have the cheese sauce on the side as well, and that's what I did because I wasn't sure if cheese and Korean BBQ sauce would make a good mix. For the burger, it was like a regular cheeseburger, but the sauce would be that same Korean BBQ sauce. I'd already have Korean BBQ sauce with the fries, so that's another reason why I went the chicken sandwich route where the chicken is coated in a spicy and sweet Gochujang glaze. There are also sesame seeds and white kimchi slaw in the sandwich. When I placed my order, I was allowed to specify a pickup time of ASAP, between 5 and 10 minutes, or 40 minutes. Nothing in between? Seemed like they were taking a page out of Papa John's book, IYKYK. I live within 40 minutes of this Shake Shack, so I chose the shortest non-ASAP pickup time. I arrived a few minutes early, and I was expecting to wait a little while longer for my order to be ready. An employee greeted me, and I told him my name for pickup. To my surprise, he went to the nearby pickup counter and handed me my takeout bag, which has two elliptical holes on top for ease of carrying. I asked for some utensils and napkins before departing. I sat at the outdoor patio where they had a couple stacks of Jenga blocks as well as a Connect 4 game that can keep the kiddos occupied. The tables were pretty clean, and I would imagine they're kept clean throughout the day as I witnessed an employee wiping down the tables while I was eating. Inside my takeout bag was a cardboard box that was as wide as the bag, so I couldn't get that cardboard out without damaging the bag. Instead, I grabbed the box of fries and the two sauces on the side to enjoy them first. As I mentioned before, the fries are topped with kimchi seasoning, but you won't really taste it when you dip them in either of the sauces, which I unfortunately have to say Shake Shack focuses on quantity over quality here. While the sauce cups were generous in size, the taste of each was not prominent at all. I don't remember what Korean BBQ tastes like, and after finishing the sauce, I still don't remember. The cheese was also disappointing as it paled in comparison to queso and/or nacho cheese. I think Taco Bell does this cheese thing better than Shake Shack. While the fries were nice and crispy, the underwhelming sauces left much to be desired. The chicken sando was also underwhelming. I've had Korean Fried Chicken before, and this one just didn't cut it for me. Quantity-wise, it was kind of small for the price point, almost $10 before tax! And the taste of the chicken was about as comparable as the taste of the sauces that went with my fries. I definitely didn't hate it, but I'm certainly not paying full price for that sandwich again. I doubt I would have liked the burger better, if at all. Overall, just okay, and I'm keeping my rating of 3 stars. It could have been *a lot* better, and I still wouldn't recommend Shake Shack as a whole, especially for the price point. I don't foresee a return visit unless I get another generous offer, like maybe a free shake with any purchase. read more

Love this place. It's easy to order and easy to pick up. Sitting might be the most difficult part, since it's first come first serve, and the place is not that large. Vegetarian review: - mushroom burger is great. Filled with gooey cheese and piping hot, the burger is just enough to not be hungry. The bun is soft and the burger is overall very good. Shakes are also not to be missed. Cheese fries and fries in general are good, but nothing to write home about. New veggie burger kind of falls short. This was our first time here!!! I've seen it everywhere but haven't had the chance to try till now!! I placed my order thought the cashier and he was kinda and helpful!! Y friend placed her order through the kiosk which was easy and simple!! The inside was quite spacious and very clean!!! Had both inside and outside seating. So plenty of space to choose to sit unless occupied of course lolz Shake burger 10/10 no disappoint. The meat was so fresh and good and the bread was so soft. A perfect size and good amount of seasoning and such Korean BBQ Burger 8/10 I liked gen crispy onions a lot!!! I wish it had more of the Korean flavor or taste to it. It wasn't bad at all. I really did like the bread. Ngl the bread was the best part for me. Fries 6/10 just because they taste like regular fries. They have nothing special but hey they are fries!!!
