This is my second time to a Shake Shack. The first time I went was in Vegas and I just thought it was ok. I'm not sure what all the hype is about this place. I feel like you don't get much for what you pay for. I got the shack stack and it was good, but very small. My husband got the chick'n stack and we had to wait a long time for them to make it. I thought the piece of chicken in his sandwich was really small. I noticed it took a long time to get anything done. You wait in line to order, then when they buzz you that the food is done you wait for someone to even talk to and then wait again for them to get the food for you. Really recommend coming here for a good burger. I'm not really a veggie burger kind of person, but their shroom burger is really killer! I tried the chicken bites for the first time and they're really good too! One thing I really like this about this location is how nice the interior is! I wanted to like this but it disappointed me. I think it's a little crazy you don't offer any comb and 32 dollars for two people to eat. The Quality was not there for the price of the food. Only thing the stuck out on the smoke shack is the peppers. Fries didn't have any flavor what so ever. The cheese and bacon barely save them. The chicken sandwich was very bland and the bacon and cheese didn't help it at all. And a small shake for five dollars is pretty ridiculous when it taste like melted ice cream. A little bit on the high-end of a burger joint but it is delicious. I first tasted SS at the LAX airport and was ecstatic they were here in Utah. I can taste the freshness of the meat and love the buttery texture of the bun. Had an apple-pie shake and it was super good too. I've been about 3 times and it has been packed. I'll update this if the store gets better. I'm a huge fan of The Shake Shake from LA and New York. The food at this one is great, but the service was horrible. Line was outside and around the building. When we finally got in the building we realized why. Out of 3 registers, on a Saturday afternoon, they only had one running and one new guy taking orders. Got our order wrong, but where quick to fix it. For a new store with the anticipation this store has, you think they would be more prepared. Let's hope it gets better. Ignore the haters, Shake Shack is incredible. We went on a Sunday afternoon and the line was short. The burgers are so good! We also ordered the mushroom burger and it was awesome too. It's a portobello cap filled with cheese and then deep friend. It's really crispy, more like eating a fried chicken sandwich than a burger. I imagine this place is a madhouse most of the time, so plan accordingly and try not to go at peak hours. read more

I'm a Shake Shack fan!! I've had it in New York and to me, is worth the hype. I love the crinkle cut fries and the burgers are amazing. The flavor, juicy meat and sauce they use are wonderful. My absolute fave here are their milkshakes but the chocolate is the BEST. We stood in line for 30min just for some shakes. They're worth it. I know this is a new location and it's lines are going to be long but the little details still matter. They didn't wipe down any of the milkshakes they made (we saw as we waited for ours) and so our cups were sticky and so were everyone else's. Shake shack is AMAZING - I usually get the smoke shack which has the perfect amount of cherry pepper bite. The fries are great - better than in-n-out (duh) and McDonald's. The cheese fries are good but the cheese isn't as hot and runny as I would prefer. The Pie-Oh-My shakes are divine, well worth driving there for those alone! They are popular and hard to track down sometimes. Jamie is the BEST manager. I think he is extremely nice and helpful. I had a conversation with him and felt he genuinely cared about the customer experience!! I use to eat Shake Shack every time I was in NYC. It's awesome we have one here in Sandy. read more

So after waiting of the lines to thin, we went on a Sunday. It was good. I had the shroom burger. Wife had the shackburger. The food was really good. However, the interior was really loud and I was somewhat sticker shocked when we were rang up. Do I think it's better than In'N'Out? Maybe. A little. I don't think it's 200% better though which is how much you are going to pay in comparison. I guess I'd go back if in a group or something. Like my fellow Utahn's, I too get excited when a new chain comes to town. I've heard a lot of hype around Shake Shack and have been eager to try it. The building which is a beautiful repurposed old high school is really cool. The food however was just average and expensive. I ordered a burger, fries, and soda for $14. I'll start with the fry sauce. It's flat gross. It doesn't have a great flavor to start with but has a gross aftertaste. Just stick with Ketchup. The fries are crinkle cut and just mediocre. The burger was decent but pretty small considering the price tag. The patty is slightly larger than a slider so I recommend upgrading to a double. I'm willing to go back as I want to try their hot dogs. Would I go back for a burger and fries? No sadly. The Habit and In-n-Out are down the street and make a much better burger. read more

Super sub par especially from all the hype. Without the hype it's barely a good burger . Maybe I'm missing something but when the fries are better than the burger I don't come back very often. Very expensive prices for very subpar food. Unfortunately their burgers weren't up to the quality that is found in much cheaper fast food competitors. Yes, please! I got the seasonal special burger. I think it was called bourbon bacon cheese. It was utterly delicious. It had a perfectly cooked patty, an amazing sauce and even the bun was something I loved. I also had a shake. It was chocolate churro flavor. So different and tasty. I arrived within a half hour of closing and the service was quick and even-tempered. That in and of itself is impressive. I thought they may have gotten my order wrong because I did not see any cheese on the fries. However, it was a cheese sauce instead- which was a surprise but not necessarily a disappointment. I quite liked their take on having cheese sauce rather than melted cheese- something that sets them apart from other restaurants.
