Regardless, no explanation was given. Outside of a toasty restaurant, Mesquite looks like your typical fast casual restaurant. Service (3.5/5): You order at the counter and they prepare your food right then and there. Ordering and paying was a seamless experience. Not terribly friendly but service isn't a big part of the experience. Drinks (3.5/5): I went with one of their fresh lemonades which I'm always about. They also have smoothies, but they're a bit pricey. So I went with the more affordable choice. Outside of that, your typical soft drinks. Food (3/5): I went with a couple of tacos to get a good variety (steak, chicken, and barbacoa). For some meats, including the steak and chicken, you have to pay an upcharge. They have a good number of sauces to choose from including salsas, sour cream, etc. I went with a nice variety here too. Plus some chips and queso. Overall, the food is pretty solid. The meats are mesquite grilled which gives them a bit of a smoky flavor. If you order three or more tacos, you get rice and beans for free. Score! While Mesquite has some kinks to work out, my meal was solid. They have a special Taco Tuesday deal if you're looking for a discount.

Over the past 12 years, we have literally purchased hundreds of Freezes, so we are very familiar with what a standard size 2 portion looks like. Our first visit to the Scottsdale Quarter location was disappointing. The Freeze serving size was noticeably smaller, approximately half of what we've consistently received at other Pressed Juicery locations. At the time, we didn't say anything to the server, but we did feel disappointed considering the price of $18 for two Freezes. We recently visited the Scottsdale Quarter location again on June 27th while shopping in the area, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, we had the same issue. The product did not even reach the rim of the cup, and the portion size again felt significantly smaller and a rip off. This time, I politely brought up the difference in portion size and shared photos as proof of what is consistent across several other Pressed Juicery locations compared to what we received at Scottsdale Quarter. The response I received was dismissive, and with an attitude the employee stated that this was the "correct" portion size. We will not be returning to this location. I would recommend visiting a different location to get a portion size aligned with $8.95 per cup and not served with a bad attitude.
