Over the past 12 years, we have literally purchased hundreds of Freezes, so we are very familiar with what a standard size 2 portion looks like. Our first visit to the Scottsdale Quarter location was disappointing. The Freeze serving size was noticeably smaller, approximately half of what we've consistently received at other Pressed Juicery locations. At the time, we didn't say anything to the server, but we did feel disappointed considering the price of $18 for two Freezes. We recently visited the Scottsdale Quarter location again on June 27th while shopping in the area, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, we had the same issue. The product did not even reach the rim of the cup, and the portion size again felt significantly smaller and a rip off. This time, I politely brought up the difference in portion size and shared photos as proof of what is consistent across several other Pressed Juicery locations compared to what we received at Scottsdale Quarter. The response I received was dismissive, and with an attitude the employee stated that this was the "correct" portion size. We will not be returning to this location. I would recommend visiting a different location to get a portion size aligned with $8.95 per cup and not served with a bad attitude. I attached photos to show the comparison of all other locations I have visited and then the sad photo of the Scottsdale Quarter location portion.

Inside, the vibe is excellent and cleaner than my search history. Contrary to some of the other reviews I've read, my service was incredibly fast and efficient. To be fair, we walked in well after the lunch rush, but the staff was still totally on top of it. As for the food, my friends ordered The Club and The Grinder, and both absolutely loved them. I went with the Moroccan Turkey, and oh my god, I loved everything about it. The standout players were definitely the Greek yogurt sauce and that red wine vinaigrette. Absolutely incredible flavor combo. That said... unless my friends and I have suddenly hit a massive growth spurt, the portions could definitely be a bit larger for what you're paying. We're in Scottsdale, not a micro-portion tasting menu in Paris. Feed us, ChopShop! The real plot twist of the meal was the BBQ potato chips. I thought they were absolute perfection. However, they caused a full-on culinary debate in our group. They lean pretty sweet and have this distinct Indian-spice vibe going on. If you're expecting standard backyard-barbecue Lays, you're going to be confused. Half the table was questioning their entire existence, while I was busy hoarding the bag. Come for the great food and healthy atmosphere, just maybe grab a snack beforehand if you're starving--and prepare your palate for the chip controversy.

I placed my order at the self-serve kiosk and waited for about 7 minutes before I asked about my order. Nobody else was ahead of me. And the Muscle Malt Shake I ordered didn't taste "malty" at all. Edit to add: Thank you for replying. I feel that I should add that it wasn't 7 minutes from when I ordered to when the girl finished making my protein shake. It was 7 minutes until she even started putting the ingredients together in the blender. Meanwhile, one girl was taking her time making a sampler platter, and the other girl was on her phone talking about a non-work related topic with her elbows on the table. I took a photo of when the girl finally started my order but then huddled with the other girl for 2 minutes over the cell phone.

I'm extremely disappointed with how a scheduled pickup order was handled a few nights ago…read more I placed an order for my family and specifically chose a later pickup window of **5:50-6:00 PM** because I knew I wouldn't be able to arrive until around 5:55-6:00. I received both an email and text confirming the order and pickup time. I then received another text updating the expected ready time to **6:00-6:05 PM**. At **5:42 PM** I received another text, this one saying my order was already ready at least eight minutes before the pickup window I selected and 18+ minutes before the updated time I had been given just minutes earlier. Since I knew I couldn't arrive until around 5:55, I called and asked if the food could be remade so I wouldn't be bringing cold food home to my family. Instead of acknowledging the issue, the employee I spoke with repeatedly told me there was essentially nothing they could do. She initially offered to let me speak with a manager, then came back and told me I could not speak with him. She also suggested that in the future I should simply wait until later to place my order. That left me asking the obvious question: **What is the point of offering customers the ability to schedule a pickup time if the restaurant isn't going to honor it?** When I arrived, I spoke with the manager and explained everything again. His initial response was basically that "this is just how the system works." I showed him the confirmation email and text messages documenting the pickup times. He pointed out that the order was "only" ready eight minutes before the earliest part of my original window. I pointed out that it was also 18 minutes earlier than the updated time the restaurant itself had texted me. After quite a bit of back-and-forth, he finally agreed to have the food remade. Mistakes happen. An order being prepared too early by itself wouldn't have prompted me to write this review. What bothered me was the way the situation was handled afterward. Rather than simply acknowledging the mistake and fixing it, both the employee and manager initially acted as though the problem was mine for expecting the scheduled pickup time to mean something. We're fairly new customers, but my family has already eaten here three times in the past month. Unfortunately, after the way this was handled, I'm not sure we'll be back. Good customer service isn't about never making a mistake. It's about how you respond when one happens. This could have been resolved in 30 seconds with, "Sorry about that. We prepared it too early. We'll remake it for you." Instead, it became an unnecessarily frustrating experience.
