The food is delicious here, especially at the Burbank location. Fried chicken came out so hot, I had to wait to for it to cool down before digging in. Same with the mojo potato's, very fresh and hot and the pizza too. I love their supreme pizza with everything on it and endless fountain drink. The Burbank Shakey is huge! There are 2 dining rooms and a huge parking lot. Great place for parties. I came here for nostaic purposes and honestly the Pizza was fine... Still that unique tangy sauce I remember from my childhood days... However, the Chicken and Mojo's were sooo good. I forgot how much I like their chicken and mojo potatoes. The service was decent. All the staff we encountered were really nice. They made a mistake and brought us Mojo Potatos twice, but when we pointed out we already got it, our server just shrugged and said, "I know, we just made a mistake" and left the potatos. Food quality was quite poor. The pasta is basically Ragu sauce and plain noodles. The chicken was very salty and dry (even though they had a fresh batch out). Pizza all tasted the same and quality was not great. The dough was too doughy. They had a smore dessert pizza that was heavy and doughy. Servers were nice but had to flag them down, which makes sense for a buffet. Music was very loud and there were lots of kids screaming around the small arcade area. Plates were not really washed well. Value was not there. $16+ tax for salty, poor quality food. I could only eat 2-3 slices of pizza because it tasted meh. I love coming to this place since it's close by home , but yesterday I had a bad experience with a server who was just rude and didn't talk which I find that rude since u need some kind of costumer service to be working there she just seem bored and tired. She had like red color hair didn't get her name. I had dropped my whole pizza accidentally yes it was my fault but instead of her asking to clean the table or any help she ran away like if she was scared of the situation. I dropped the pizza so idk what was her issue not even giving her costumer service . Great experience at this location. Everything was clean, the food was hot and chicken crispy. Our order came out quickly and the location was not too packed. The person that brought out our food was really nice and came back to see if we needed anything else. The only con I have is the arcade. It's so. Expensive to play when half of the games are $1 vs. $.50. I understand that they have to profit; however, due to the size of the arcade, I think it could be more reasonable. I went here on Saturday. I liked that there's a salad bar since I'm health conscious. I didn't know there was rotisserie chicken or baked chicken. It tasted better than the fried chicken. I went to check out Shakey's because I've never had it before. With the current price of pizza and chicken these days, I think the PCM is a pretty good deal. They had a lunch buffet that is probably the best deal. The chicken was freshly made and the mojos are nice. The pizza is okay, but it was my least favorite of the 3. This is really the last old school nostalgia Pizza Parlor type of place that I'm aware. I didn't grew up in California, so the nostalgia is not really there for me for this brand specifically, but it definitely harkens back to my high school years and it was always enjoyable to come to the lunch buffet w my work colleagues, but I don't work near one anymore, and when I came in on the weekend, I found out they didn't have the buffet which I was looking so forward to! They can get super busy, but the staff stays pretty efficient and pleasantly professional. Depending on how busy it gets, it can start to look shoddy if they have too many tables get up at once, but they're generally quick to clean things up as fast as they can. You'll always get hot fresh food (unless it's a crisp cold salad) and it's mostly still a value compared to today's overpriced world. read more

I have a son with special needs and was having trouble in the game room Clarence the supervisor realized my son having a meltdown came in to save the day helped him play games and my son was so happy when Clarence helped him pick out his prize.
