I didn't like how the waiter address my father asking him to move. First of all the chair was placed there by the staff not my dad. Happy Veteran's Day! Thank you to all who served. My military husband and I came here on Veteran's Day because they were giving free meals to vets on 11/11. The vibe was energetic and this location is pretty big. There were a lot of vets and their families here on this night. We ordered the endless soup and breadsticks: chicken & gnocchi soup, minestrone soup, chicken parmigiana, and spaghetti with meatballs. I really liked the gnocchi soup and bread, spaghetti was ok, and the chicken parmigiana to me was salty but my husband liked it and he liked his minestrone soup. I haven't had Olive Garden in years, and I'll be the first to admit I have been a tough critic of this restaurant over the years. But this last visit was actually pretty good. The restaurant was pretty busy but the wait time wasn't bad for a Sunday afternoon. I created my own pasta with angel hair pasta and their meat sauce. We also got endless salad/soup, fried rigatoni, crusted meatballs & chicken parmigiana. The food didn't take too long and was hot when it arrived. The breadsticks lacked flavor and to me not really worth the hype. The salad was a little salty but good. The crusted meatballs were terrible. I would definitely never order again. The fried ravioli was my favorite. I would probably order as an entree. The chicken parmigiana and angel hair pasta came as a huge portion, and was actually pretty tasty. The food was nothing fancy but doable for the price point. The menu is good, and you get free breadsticks and salad refills with your entree, so it's a great value. Dishes also have good portions. The servers are always on it with fast, free refills, and I highly recommend getting one of the dipping sauces for your breadsticks--game changer. My friends and I gathered here today to celebrate the life of our beloved friend and her daughter. When she was alive, this was her favorite Olive Garden as well as the last Olive Garden we ate at together. I had called ahead and was told that the restaurant did not take reservations. Another friend attempted to RSVP through Yelp or online. It was canceled. We had agreed to meet at 1 pm. One of my friends arrived at 1220 pm to reserve a table for 10 people. We all had arrived by 1 pm as agreed and were told to continue to wait. We were not seated until almost 2:30 pm! In the meantime, parties of 5,6, or 7 were seated before us. They could have split us into two tables next to each other if the large table was unavailable. Being a diabetic, my sugar levels were getting low by that time. No one really apologized, just made excuses. I just felt this could have been handled better. That was why I deducted stars. Otherwise, our servers were quick and attentive. I hadn't been to Olive Garden in over eight years and after tonight, I can confidently say I'll never be going back. I don't mind family-friendly restaurants or even basic, generic Italian food. I'm a hungry girl, I love to eat. But what I do mind is being surrounded by nonstop coughing, sneezing, and that awful "snort your snot into your throat" sound echoing from every direction. It felt like I was dining inside a biohazard zone. My boyfriend ordered the calamari, and it was the softest, mushiest, most textureless calamari I've ever encountered. I managed two bites. My cheese ravioli was completely flavorless and drowned in cheese. I get that some people go to Olive Garden for that, but honestly, I could've had something better out of a can. My boyfriend took two bites of his steak gorgonzola and gave up entirely. The one highlight was the salad. It was actually really good. I don't remember Olive Garden being this low-quality or depressing. When did it all go downhill?
