I came to eat with a big family group last Sunday because people in the area seem to love this place. To my surprise they let HOMELESS PEOPLE SIT ON THE BOTHS AND WITNESS AND EMPLOYEE GIVING THEM A PLATE TO SERVE THEMSELVES FROM THE SALAD BAR. I appreciate that this business helps people in need, but I was uncomfortable with the shared self-service salad bar. Everyone serves themselves from the same food station, and I didn't feel the hygiene standards met my expectations. ALSO, ALLOWING THEM TO DINE IN? That's was a little too much. We did not order pizza, we had fried chicken instead. The fried chicken was meaty and juicy, but the skin was a bit too greasy. There was a buffet style bar, we also took some salad from the bar and it was normal, some leaves were not fresh. The server always interrupted our meal and wanted to clean the table. I got the Ultimate Meat Pan Pizza & large order of Mojo potatoes. The pizza was good, fresh, and filling. The mojos were good too but the sizing of these have changed. I absolutely love Shakeys Pizza Parlor! This place has been a favorite of mines since childhood! It's was sort of my equivalent to Chuck E Cheese, but 100 times better! From the crispy hand tossed crust and tasty robust marinara sauce, to the variety of fresh toppings... I have yet to find some place better! They also have delicious crispy fried chicken, mojo potatoes and salad bar with a array of fresh veggies and condiments. Also, it's very family friendly.... Kids can go into the arcade game area, while parents can relax and sip on a drink of choice! Yes they serve beer, wine and alcohol drinks. Now it is a little pricey but what place isn't now days? Manager Juan demonstrated disrespectful behavior to an elderly woman at fundraising event in the store, in front of children and her friends. Manager REFUSED to apologize after she proved paying the salad bar. The next Manager justified his behavior based on policies to confront patrons who use the wrong salad bar plate. I tried to call corporate to complain on their behalf and noone answered the phone at two locations. A great Shakeys location. They have all the classics and everything is still as good as one remembers it. If getting drinks, take your receipt to the second window. Shakeys still does fundraisers. On the night of my visit, they were giving 20 percent of all the nights money towards that fundraiser. Plenty of space to sit and a good location overall. We had such a great experience at Shakey's, especially because of our server, THEO! He was super nice, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our entire visit. We actually arrived about an hour before closing, and we felt bad coming in so close to closing time, but Theo never made us feel like we were inconveniencing him or that he was ready to leave. Jessica Sanchez is an incompetent manager. When you bring in coupons from shakey's, she refuses to honor them. Yes, that right she refuses to honor them and instructs staff members to not honor COMPANY issued coupons. In fact, while we were consuming at shakey's, one person in our party placed an order utilizing company issued coupons and were accepted. About 10 minutes later, the manager stormed into the cashier and made a scene with her staff which she canceled the order. Despite we were respectful, she called the police and they showed up only to tell us we had to leave and we hadn't finished our food. Manager made a scene, calling the police and over 8 police units showed up only to say we had to leave. Even the police knew the manager was being ridiculous too. If the company cannot honor coupons, then why the fuck do they issue them? Manager was having a bad day or even in a power trip. Very disappointed with my experience. I placed an online order that came out to around $90, and when I arrived for pickup, I was told my order wasn't ready yet. That was understandable, so I waited patiently. However, after already waiting about 20 minutes, an employee finally called me over and explained that they had made the pizza in the wrong size and had to completely remake it. At that point, my order was already supposed to have been ready, and now I had to wait even longer because of their mistake. What made it worse was that the rest of my food was left sitting on the counter while the pizza was being remade. By the time I got home, the pizza was warm, but the rest of the food was cold. I don't understand how the wrong pizza size wasn't noticed until 20 minutes later. In total, my order ended up being about 40 minutes past the original pickup time. We ordered a good size party package yesterday with no hesitation Jessica helped us out. She was helpful and friendly, made me feel at ease that our order would be ready on time for the same day. We showed up , she greeted us, provided us with condiments , plates ,forks ,napkins etc you name it she was on it !! Receipt says his name was Frank P. Super shout out to him for being very professional. I ordered a beer while I waited for my food and had a completely different interaction with the gentleman at the bar. I did not get his name but he had a lot of piercings on his face and blonde hair. He was very rude and showed zero enthusiasm to be there. Maybe he was having a bad day and I caught him at the wrong time. Although his behavior was the same towards a big family that ordered before me. I brought my mom and stepdad for dinner, excited to enjoy Shakey's after a long time, but from the moment we arrived, Brianna H. greeted us with negative energy and an unwelcoming attitude. During the ordering process, Brianna appeared visibly impatient and dismissive toward my mom, who was simply trying to decide on her order. To help move things along, I took over and completed the order myself, which made the process smoother--but it was clear that Brianna lacked patience and professionalism. A short time later, my mom went back to order a salad. While serving herself at the salad bar, Brianna left her register and approached my mom in an aggressive, loud tone, asking, "ARE YOU OKAY???" My mom was simply using her non-dominant hand to serve herself because she had her purse on her dominant hand. There was absolutely no reason for Brianna to intervene, especially in such a rude and condescending way. I calmly stepped in and reminded Brianna that my mom was doing nothing wrong--she had paid for her salad and was free to serve herself as she pleased. Brianna then admitted, "You're right," and walked away. Despite this, the situation left us feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed. We chose to ignore the incident and finish our meal since it was already late, and we didn't want to drive elsewhere. However, upon our exit, my mom took a quick photo to document our experience for this review. At that moment, Brianna began mocking us and shouting rude comments as we were leaving, which was completely unprovoked and unprofessional. That's when I began recording for our protection and to ensure accurate documentation of her behavior. This was by far the most unpleasant dining experience we've ever had.
