We were on the way home to my Moms house, and we were hungry. My Brother said there was an El Tarasco nearby, so we decided to stop. Went with a Jr Super Deluxe ground beef burrito, and 2 ground beef tacos. My Brother and I split everything. How was it? Great! El Tarasco is old school South Bay Mexican food. Always good, and always consistent. The tacos have their famous "red sauce" which taste like some white wine or something. Really good. Old school, fried shell tortilla "chips". Great salsa! Burrito was stuffed with meat, rice, beans, wet, with guacamole on top. Solid burrito! Will definitely come back. Open late, too!

They are close by to SoFi and they had a sign welcoming World Cup tourists to Los Angeles, which was nice to see. I ordered a carnitas burrito and a Pepsi and Priscilla was really cool and took my order. My order was ready pretty quickly and I sat down to eat it and looked in the bag and saw two or three tostadas or their large tortilla chips and their red pico-de gallo salsa. I was so elated! Back in the early 2000's there was an El Tarasco in Fullerton off Nutwood and the 57 fwy. (currently where Ensenada Surf N' Turf grill is at) and I still think about their burritos to this day. I was hoping this location was the same as the one from my years ago and it was! The carnitas burrito was so good! The carnitas were cooked thoroughly, soft, juicy, salted and just straight up great pork. The tortilla tasted great as well. For me, their burritos are nostalgic and taste great and I'd definitely stop by if I'm in town!

This place has been a long time staple in Hawthorne! I enjoy going here because the service is fast, food is great and the the place itself is very welcoming. They remodeled the dining area which is outdoors and provide plenty of space for tables and turf grass. They even added a munchie menu.

Such a gem! Friendly staff and quick service. The food IS AMAZING! Got the deal of the day Thursdays are burritos days and also got the California fries. Perfection! And love the seating outside.

Was working in the area and this was one of my stops and I made it a point to stop here for lunch. Parking is doable. There's a small lot with a few spots behind and to the left of the stand and there's street parking on the side street as well. It's more of a stand, where you order at the counter and then you sit outside to eat your food. They are close by to SoFi and they had a sign welcoming World Cup tourists to Los Angeles, which was nice to see. Decent place to grab some tacos and drinks. After a little wait we were seated and served. Everything came out fresh and as ordered. The table-side guacamole was amazing! My enchiladas were good as well. I wasn't a huge fan of the live DJ they had playing but I probably shouldn't have gone on Taco Tuesday if I wanted to avoid that. Ordered a shredded chicken quesadilla and was really disappointed. The chicken wasn't even shredded properly -- it was in large clumps and just thrown inside, so the quesadilla wasn't evenly filled and didn't look appetizing. I ended up not eating it. As a local So Bay local, my friends and I often enjoyed eating at El Tarascos, a nice family owned business. The food, although not necessarily healthy is good/tasty. But because of their once reasonably fair priced meals, we were regular, frequent visitors. Moreover, we usually ate at the Manhattan Beach site, to sit on its rooftop with the ocean vista. This created an awesome dining experience that was inexpensive. But very disappointedly, as this So Cal franchise grew fast - from 2 restaurants to now 6 - they began to change, and worsen dramatically. Beyond just tripling in locations, they raised their prices significantly. And what clearly stands out now is the typical bad service and arrogant attitude by their management/staff. This has become very apparent, and more and more common over recent years. And after a truly bad dining experience at our once favorite MB El Tarasco, I decided to share my complaint with the owner, Ricardo. Being Teacher Appreciation Week, after my inquiring if they had any special discounts to honor teachers/educators, he kindly offered my family a generous 50% discount with our order. But when my family went to pick up our order, the manager refused to honor the discount. And the blatantly rude, disrespectful manner in which he spoke to my wife as she tried to reason with him was absolutely unacceptable! In front of a busy crowd, beyond his nasty, condescending tone, he complained that he would not honor the 50% because some how, they would lose money. Unbelievable! To make matters worse, when I tried contacting Ricardo, the owner, he avoided my numerous calls and texts. Eventually he texted back to apologize, and invited us back for a complimentary meal. This seemed genuine, and gave my family a chance to try El Tarasco again. Ricardo's wife was the one who helped us, and because of her very pleasant manner and service, we felt once again hopeful that those terribly bad, disrespectful episodes by their management/staff had been addressed, and most importantly corrected, so that other patrons never were treated so rudely. But apparently I was wrong. This week being Teacher Appreciation week, I called Ricardo to inquire about any discounts for teachers. After an odd, unexpected quasi-interrogation about my teaching credentials, he finally said he would offer me a discount. Wow! After the distasteful, head-rattling experience by Ricardo, he said he said he would grant us a similar discount. I followed his instructions to call/text him back on his cell later in the week when we were ready to dine/order. But after texting and calling several times, Ricardo never responded. Ever! Clearly this once great local family eatery has changed for the worse. Seemingly they have placed greed for profit as a priority over quality customer service. When a business reveals their true self so demonstrably and consistently, especially after the forced pandemic shutdown allowed society to be reflective, it becomes obvious that El Tarasco has failed to demonstrate their growth mindset, like all dedicated students/individuals know. El Tarasco and its owner/management clearly do not value customer relations. And this time they lost a long-time customer. Too bad! But thanks to a recent social media post/thread by neighbors on Nextdoor, there are many better options for Latin/Mexican food in the So Bay, including: La Pax, Ensenada's Surf/Turf, Zacatecas, Sausal, El Gringo, and Pancho's. read more

I stopped into El Tarasco in Inglewood for Taco Tuesday and left genuinely impressed. The staff here deserves real kudos -- the service was friendly, fast, and attentive without feeling rushed. You can tell they take pride in taking care of their customers. The Taco Tuesday specials were on point. Great portions, fresh ingredients, and the flavors hit exactly the way you want them to. My plate came out hot, well-seasoned, and full of that authentic taste you can't fake. This spot has definitely earned a permanent place on my Tuesday rotation. I also want to shout out their new digital menu system -- clean, easy to read, and actually helpful when deciding what to order. It makes the whole process smoother, especially on busy nights. It was during the lunch hour when I arrived and the small shared parking lot was packed with cars, some double parked. I decided to avoid the chaos and parked at the coffee spot next door. I was immediately greeted when I walked in and the food was ready. I ordered the super deluxe Asada Burrito wet with red and green salsa. It's also topped with guacamole and sour cream. I was sharing the burrito and although it looked big, it was a lot smaller than in the past and was actually the size of the Junior burrito that I use to order. The quality of the steak wasn't great and overall not a burrito worth coming back for anymore.

The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the beans were incredibly delicious. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner here -- they have an extensive menu filled with authentic Mexican dishes. The flavors were wonderful and comforting, and it was hearty enough to keep me full and energized all day. Casa Rios has a lively, family-friendly atmosphere and gets busy (arriving early was perfect). In the evenings they even have live music or karaoke for entertainment. With delicious food, friendly service, and that genuine neighborhood feel, it's a wonderful place to support a long-standing local business. Highly recommend!
