Xing was one of them. after getting a few ballpark quotes via email and deciding Xing was the likely choice, I dropped in at their office and asked Alex a few questions related to the cabinet construction requirements which he cheerfully answered. after all that, we considered the likelihood we'd chip the endura and switched to quartz. No problem for Alex, he sourced the 3cm slab we wanted, did the final templating and his crew did an excellent job installing. as a sanity check, I also got a quote from another quartz "fabricator" - their quote was almost the entire project cost from Xing but didn't include the slab cost. Apparently I was supposed to go shop for the slab myself - which makes sense for natural stone but not man-made stuff. Their final cost would have been about 40% higher than Xing not counting the time/effort to buy the slab someplace. if I need to do another countertop or wall panels, I'm not going to bother getting quotes elsewhere. I'm going back to Xing.

We visited the shop and met with Sarah and showed her our kitchen layout. She showed us some slabs she had in stock and gave us a list of some slab yards in the area to look at. After viewing several yards we picked 2 slabs at All Natural Stone and Sarah had them brought to her shop. Afrain came out to install plywood on to the cabinets and made the templates. We did a viewing of the templates on the slabs to see the flow and design. Then Afrain and team came back for the install. He did a great job getting the pieces to match and making the island waterfall look awesome! I highly recommend Best Marble & Granite for doing a great job with all the details and excellent work. And their prices are fair and reasonable too.

Best Marble installed a granite shower curb and niche for our bathroom remodel. The finished work…read morelooks nice, but the job was marred by poor onsite practices. They did not use any ventilation and left the bathroom door open, producing so much dust that it set off the smoke detector. The niche was not set square and had to be redone, which cracked a porcelain tile (the main contractor later replaced it). When I raised these concerns, their response was that they "usually get compliments on how clean" they are. Professional finish, but better dust control and attention to detail are needed.

WOW!!!! We are so HAPPY we chose Bracho! We had a couple of slabs of complicated "river-like"…read moreartistic granite, so matching the full backsplash and fancy edging was no easy task. Our Island and counter top turned out so fabulous. As soon as I figure out how to upload the pictures of our new kitchen, you will be able to take a look at the craftsmanship. After getting estimates and searching for quality work to be done on our kitchen granite, I gave Bracho a call. I'm so glad I did! Not only did they do a fantastic job, but Henry saved us close to $3k over the other contractors. That made me happy because we needed to cut some cost, but I still wanted great quality. Henry is a genius when it comes to matching the granite design. I would never have been able to visualize this as well as he. Its a worrisome deal when you pay so much for beautiful granite slabs and then have it cut and you know it needs to be done right the 1st time. Well, Henry is your man for this! He has so much experience with designs that for him, it is easy to help you choose good pattern matches and flows. He also understands why it can be sort-of stressful to decide on the cut (for the home owner) AND he works with you to figure it out for yourself. Although, I have to say, he knew the correct way to cut the pieces all along. It just took me a while to understand how the matching up of the flow would ultimately end up. After they templated the countertops and came back with the fabricated granite, they installed it to perfection. There was one small 4" backsplash (we had full backsplash on the rest) that we asked if they minded redoing as a 6" from another part of the remaining granite. We decided we preferred a 6" backsplash and found a piece that would match really well. Henry accommodated the request with no problem whatsoever. His main focus was that he wanted US to be happy with the end results. So, we removed the 4" splash (it had only been on the wall for a handful of hours so the bonding cement had not fully dried) without any problems. The next day they came back and picked up the granite piece with the template I had made and prefabricated and installed the new 6" splash without any additional charges. Also, they did not charge us for a special drill bit they had to buy in order to create a 3/8" hole for the fibre optic remote controller garbage disposal switch we got for the new sink area (by the way, the remote switch is super low profile and is definitely the way to go as far as helping to unclutter the sink spout area and is far nicer than the stupid switch we had on the wall, here's where I discovered this option on amazon in case your interested: http://www.amazon.com/Waste-King-FRC-4016-Fiber-Controller/dp/B002B38KM4/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_text_b) I've rambled on long enough! I sent Henry a picture of my kitchen drawings/with dimensions from my iPhone and he was able to provide an estimate over the phone this way. So, my experience was good from the start.
