Had I known that free jewelry cleaning is standard during a visit, I would've brought some with me! Since I had to work past the event's start time, I swung by as quickly as I could, but I did miss a lot of useful information during the 4-C clinics (cut, color, carat, and clarity), so I'm looking forward to getting more info on my next visits (if only just to fawn over the exquisite ruby and diamond tennis bracelet I tried on-it's perfect!). read more

Ok, don't get me wrong, I love my ring. Maybe thats why I have such an issue. I cant speak much for the sales part, my husband did all of that. He had a decent experience, the sales people were kind, helpful, no pressure, educational and that whole bit. But, I'm starting to think this place is some huge kind of rip off. My band is nice, nothing crazy, fairly expensive (for what it is) and its basically a piece of crap. Its all pave stones, and a halo of them around the diamond. When you're buying the ring they don't bother to inform you that you're going to be driving out there constantly for the rest of your life getting them replaced. I AM NOT KIDDING, the pave stones CONSTANTLY FALL OUT. I've had thins ring for probably 2.5 years and have had to come in.... I can't even tell you how many times because the stones fall out. After driving out there to turn it in, you have to go back about three days later to pick it up.... Annoying. Every time I talk to someone about this all they tell me is I can "upgrade" my band... ok, so spend more money because your band you sold is a joke? What kind of crap is that? Yes, its free to have replaced, but what kind of quality is this for the money you're spending? Is this how Shane Co. gets you to spend more money? They offered to "retip" my prongs to hold the stones in, so now my ring doesn't sparkle because it has gobs of white gold covering the already tiny stones. Oh, another thing, when they replace my missing stones, they put in a bunch of junk grey/black stones and then try to tell me its "polish" under them.... Lastly, this last time, i took my ring in a few months ago for the inspection, and because my wedding band was missing a stone (same type of ring, same story) and they kept all 3 of my rings to replate and clean... They fixed the band with the missing stone, and gave me back the rings, only to have the wedding ring now missing a stone... Great inspection. So, I take it back, they tell me again come back 3 days at 4, great. I go there at 4, wait because its "not ready" until 4:15, then they come back and tell me its going to be another 15 minutes and want me to keep waiting. Its absolute BS and I would NOT buy another piece of junk from Shane Co. or recommend it to my friends anymore, either. Update. Despite being told they would reach out via email, Shane Co has not, pretty sure that's just their standard rebuttal. I inquired I store on their upgrade policy. To upgrade your band, you have to spend DOUBLE your original price. Insane. read more

My family and I went to Shane Co. today to purchase various pieces of jewelry for myself, my mother, and my sister for my sister's wedding. Diane was very kind, patient, and helpful when helping us find the right jewelry to wear. She also gave us tips on how to maintain our new pearls and sterling silver jewelry. When checking out, Kris was very organized and made sure each piece of jewelry went to the right owner and took his time when putting the jewelry in the casing. Overall, our long experience didn't feel so long with the help of Diane and Kris and we had a wonderful experience. My Lovely Fiancé purchased a precious engagement ring here, I originally thought that I liked sterling silver, but after time rhodium naturally covered it. While going back for his wedding band, we really liked the yellow gold. Then, I needed a wedding band myself, with the help of Russ and Taha two separate times we found the one! Taha had wonderful suggestions to accommodate our style even with uncertainty of what we liked. The gold rings he showed us were stunning and just right! We said yes to rings and in doing so my husband and I would both then have matching yellow gold rings! I'm starting off by saying i absolutely love my ring, however i wish i could say the same thing about my experience at Shane Co. My upgrade experience was wonderful, the girl who helped us was very sweet. After a couple of months, my ring broke (The halo part) so i took it in to get it fixed. I had to go twice back to the store because the first time wasn't ready (After being in the shop for about 4 days) I thought maybe they are very busy, so i got over it. After they fixed my ring, the diamonds kept falling off for no reason, so i went back and forth to store to drop off ring, pick up, drop off and vice versa. Mind you, the drive is about 1 hour and a half from where i live. So this past Sunday i went back in, to just exchange my ring since i don't have the time to keep going back, maybe get a completely different one or get the same one i have but New. I know they advertise about amazing customer service and No commission type of business, but this lady helping me, kept walking away from me to greet and guide new clients. Once again, i let it go. She said it would be ready for pick up on Wednesday (4 days later) after 4 PM. On Wednesday, they called me saying my new ring was in, i was actually very surprised and happy to hear that. After work i head over there, i get to Shane co a little bit before 6 PM. Firstly, the girl at customer service had no idea where my ring was, then she goes to ask the Manager, so after 10 mins of waiting she comes out with the envelope, gets the ring out, no sign of being NEW, nor DIAMOND on it. My diamond was put away in a small bag. So at this point i am confused, she is confused as well. Then she has the nerve to tell me that maybe they thought i wanted the Diamond separate from the ring. Yes that's right. I couldn't believe her either. So then she goes back to the Manager's room again and comes out with another envelope, there is my new ring, again obviously without my diamond, and not my size either. Technically, they didn't get anything done at all. I was not out of there until a little after 8 PM. Unfortunately Shane Co is very unorganized and after you are out of there you are no longer worth their time, unless you make another big purchase. I wont be returning to this place, unless i ABSOLUTELY have to. Its a shame because my husband always buys me jewelry from there, and we got his wedding band from there too. I have always recommended this place, specially because i get a lot of compliments on my ring, but i wont be doing that anymore. Walked into this Shane Co on Dec 12, 2017 to ask about a jewelry repair on a ring. A gentlemen asked what they could do to help and I explained I had a ring with some loose stones that needed repair. I was asked if I bought the ring at this store and I replied that it had been purchased at Costco. (At least 12 years ago and this was first time needing any repair after wearing almost every day. But we didn't get that far for me to make any other explanation.) This gentlemen then proceeded to say that they have had too many problems with Costco jewelry and that none of their jewelers would touch the ring, that it would probably fall apart if they even touched it. His words:/ All while we stood in the middle of the store. No one checked the ring or looked at it beyond this man holding it in his hand. I was kind of dumbfounded and took back my ring and began to walk out. I turned around to begin to say that I had a ring purchased from that store with a similar channel setting and would they be able to repair their own ring but decided they had given their piece and there was no arguing. Drove straight to Jared Galleria by the PV Mall. Walked in and got asked the same question, had I purchased the ring there. Gave the same answer. Bought it at Costco. They checked it out and said if I had purchased it at their store the repair would have been free but I'd have to pay for this repair which I had expected to do anywhere as Costco does not do any repair or sizing. Three days later I have my ring repaired like new. It did NOT fall apart. I probably would not even bring the ring purchased at this Shane Co back to them for a repair after this experience. A repair person from that store didn't even look at my ring before the announcement that they wouldn't touch it. :/ Either you are jewelers who can do repairs or you are not. read more

What an amazing experience my husband and I had at Shane Co. today. Full disclosure I had damaged my ring on Thanksgiving and knew that the outcome was most likely going to be that we would need to purchase a new one or get insurance involved. My husband had suggested we just go to Shane Co where he had purchased my engagement ring and "see what they can do". Upon arrival Lindsey greeted us and explained she was finishing with another customer and would be with us shortly. While perusing we were talking to each other "best case scenarios" which was hopefully we would pay some sort of difference etc. Lindsey returned and evaluated our situation. She explained that the ring indeed was ruined like we had thought but she needed to speak with her manager for next steps. When she came back to us she gave us the news... THEY WERE REPLACING OUR WHOLE RING!!!! I as a recent new mom with my 7 month old daughter in hand, cried. What an amazing gesture! I just went in there to have an appraisal done on a diamond wedding band that I had purchased there a couple of years ago. Andrea and a male associate spent almost the entire time I was being "helped" flirting, talking, gossiping, and socializing with one another, while I was standing there. It was completely inappropriate and very discouraging as I witnessed the older gentleman that was helped before me treated with respect. I will never again be purchasing something from this store. I already called and spoke with the Operations Manager and received a blanket apology, which doesn't really do anything. Also, the ring I had purchased from Shane Co two years ago was never worn and in perfect condition. I had purchased it for $1100 and was appraised at a value of $66?! Seriously? What a rip off! My fiance' bought my engagement ring here, and he said the experience was great. They didn't try to oversell him, but instead, found out what his budget was, and only showed him diamonds in that price range, of all qualities. We both went in a few weeks ago to order our wedding bands, and the process was very painless. They were able to grab a band that I loved from the back. Don't assume that what you see in front of you is all they have, the cases can only hold so much. Just ask. I just recently found out that you must bring your paperwork with you every time you get your jewelry cleaned. After they clean it, they sign your paperwork to show that you've been getting your jewelry checked and have been taking care of it. If you don't have them sign it and a certain amount of time passes, you lose the warranty and can't get anything replaced if you lose something! I really wish someone would have told me or my husband. The first time I was asked for my paperwork was a couple months ago and I was finally given an explanation after I asked why they were suddenly asking for my paperwork. I wasn't impressed with Shane co at all. My now fiancé decided to buy my ring here because of the amazing insurance policy. When he bought my diamond, it had a big black spot right at the very top. When we went in to exchange the diamond, several of them had large black spots on them right near the surface of the diamond. They couldn't provide a selection that would fit our price range that did not have major issues with it. We bought a one carat diamond and band there that was the best we we can find (and we looked at several). I'm not impressed with the quality of this place. I can't believe a jeweler would even accept diamonds with such large black spots on them that are so obvious. read more

I bought my wife's engagement ring here about a year ago. Designed it with the onsite jewelers and felt very happy the entire time. I picked the ring up and there was a huge mistake. No big deal, they said it will be fixed. The problem was that I needed it that day for a trip I wS taking and planned proposing. Again, no problem. We will get it done. I went in a couple days ago to get my Shane Co rings cleaned, and the very professional gentleman behind the counter recommended I get the more thorough cleaning that normally takes 3 days. I told him we were only in town for the day, up from Tucson. He said he'd rush the order and have it done for us by 6pm. Amazing!! Just writing an honest review on my experience there recently. 1) Overall/ Intro 2) Sales reps 3) Selection process 4) Price negotiation 5) Conclusion 1) The staff was very comforting and professional. I've never been shopping for engagement rings before and the people there made it great. I knew exactly what I wanted going in, my girlfriend had sent me a bunch of creations off their website (which is an awesome resource) and I picked out the few that I liked. It certainly helps to know the color differences (D, E, F, etc.), cuts (cushion, princess, emerald...) and clarity( VVSI, VSI, IF, etc.) before going in. That's just my personal preference. Whenever I'm buying something that's costing me twice as much as I paid for my car (which is a good ol reliable civic), I like to do my homework. But the staff is very knowledgeable about EVERYTHING jewelry. The big pluses of Shane Co for me personally include: -lifetime guarantee on products: pretty much fix anything you buy from them, for life. Except if it gets lost or stolen -60 day refund or exchange after purchase -6 month interest free loan to pay off whatever you buy. amount depends on cred score. 2) These guys have to be trained on being low pressure. Because they let you browse around however long you want. And I must have been asked by 3 employees how I was going to propose to my gf. 3) First we picked out a setting, then we went to stone. They run you through spiels about where diamonds come from, even bring out 3 mystery stone related to what you're looking for and let you guess the 4 C's. Kinda of fun. Let's you see what's important to you. After I picked out the stone, that was it. I made a down payment before leaving, got my cool IGI certificate for the diamond and then picked up the ring 2 days later. 4)A big question I had before going in that I couldn't find the answer to on the internet was"Can you negotiate prices?" And the answer is YES. The Shane Co rep gave this away when she asked me after I first walked in "What out-the-door price were you looking at today?" After she wrote the amounts for the stone, setting, and tax on a little notepad I made an offer below the price. She walked away and got it cleared by her boss. I only bid about 5% off the price and was kind of wishing I had bid lower. But bottom line: Don't pay the tag price! 5) Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and comforted by the fact that if something were to happen to the ring I can always take it into any Shane Co location and know it's getting quality repairs for FREE. read more

We were really lucky to have been paired up with Michelle B. to work with. She was so calm and up front with helping us find something within a price range that we felt comfortable with...and she didn't make us feel like we were wasting her time at all. My fiancé got me this ring more than a year ago, I did not know of the budget, only that he got it online and he made sure it would be something i loved, and i did (still do). We knew we could get it clean but Shane company is quite the distance. He just randomly decided to take me to get it cleaned and we go. I normally would get decent looking for a trip this far in such a high end place in town but it was random and last minute. Not only this, but I'm 20 and he looks 20 as well (he's a bit older), we just came in jeans and T-shirts and we were treated just like you would expect a client who's a little older and a lot more established than we are. They don't get judge mental or condescending as most people would get. Every person who walked in was treated with just as much respect. A nice lady even helped me work the free super cool coffee machine they have going and made me a pretty nice drink. They let me review the center diamond to verify it's microscopic imperfections inside (just a tiny, almost non existent cloud) so I could know this is how mine looks like and it will be the same once I get it back. Pretty sure to prevent people from switching out diamonds. They said it was going to take 4 days to so they could get the white gold back to its original shine, we went for it, I mean why not? its free. We come back and I reviewed it for that special little mark and sure enough it was mine. I didn't take too long to review it cause I just wanted it back on my finger and god it was just too beautiful. Same great service as the first time too. I can't wait to go back for the next cleaning in 6months. We will come here for anniversary bands the rest of our lives. read more

Terrific service & prices and selection!! I was looking for my wedding band after looking at 4 or 5 other leading jewelers and not finding what I was looking for. I went in on a Sunday afternoon & I was prepared to wait for someone to help as they were extremely busy....but nope! Didn't wait a minute! Someone was available to help right away.
