Refused to honor a gift certificate I paid $65 for in an auction, claiming her "prices have gone up to $80." I offered to pay the difference, but she refused to use the $65 as credit towards the services I'd already paid for, claiming "all my gift certificates expire after one year", even though a) this is not stated anywhere on the certificate, and b) gift certificates don't expire in CA. Shanna cuts and colors my short wavy hair and my son's super curly hair. She is masterful at covering my gray with multiple shades of nature-looking color. I also like that she doesn't get into a rut, giving me the same haircut time after time. She offers a generous discount for kids and we've been getting our money's worth out of that for years, since my son has more hair than most adults! Shanna is the best! I went to her per multiple recommendations from people in the lululemon/fitness/yoga community here in SB and I'm so grateful for that. She did my big, scary chop- 11 inches off my wavy mess- to give me a beautiful a-line cut. My new wife used Shanna for our wedding. She was told it would be $100 extra for travel. My bride agreed and then once she was done with the session Shanna stated it was $100 per hour extra. As far as I know you don't travel each of those ours. My bride paid but felt very violated and upset. Be cautious and ask to sign a contract ahead of time. read more

Shanna was so nice. I found her on Yelp looking for someone to remove some bad extensions that I had. She did a great job and gave me a strengthening treatment for free. I called her again and asked her about tape in extensions that she had mentioned to me. So she quoted me a price and I saved up. Understanding that I was on a budget, she gave me a little bottle of the clarifying shampoo so that I could prep my hair at home, since you pay by the hour, which knocked off quite a bit of time/moneyShe could have made more money doing the whole service herself, and I really appreciate her consideration for my budget and the fact that she did that for me. She was also very conscientious of the time and really buckled down and concentrated instead of chit chatting, so all in all the installation was under 1 hour/100$! Now I have long beautiful hair!
