This place is HORRIBLE!!!! And if there are any good comments then it has to be because they are from there employes! NEVER AGAIN will I come here, and that is that I was a consistent customer. Not including how many people I recommended and became customers. But now I will tell ALL the people I know I never come here again and instead recommend another brow shop. I come here hoping to be able to just get my eyebrows done with 15 mins until closing and the girl tells me they are closed when it's not even 9pm yet and she tells me to head upstairs to the cart one. I told her it was only my eyebrows but he was really rude including the other lady. I would almost say racist by the way he looked at me. Never felt so unwelcome. Perhaps because I was wearing a uniform. Once I head to the cart (which is on the other side of the mall!) they tell me they can't because they have a line and it's already 9pm but they are willing to take the other people. I am so upset and furious I don't even know where to start! I came here after scheduling an appointment using an app that I had just downloaded. I was so excited to score a deal-until I actually showed up to my appointment. The girl at the counter said "oh you only paid one dollar for the appointment?" Yes I ONLY paid that. As soon as she told the girls what I was using it seemed like I had a disease. I stood there and no one wanted to take me. Out of no where walks in Sandhya. They quickly breathed a sign of relief and told me I can go with her. Guess because she was the only one that didn't know I only paid a dollar for the appointment. Sandhya did a wonderful job on my eyebrows, she took her time and explained what we can do next time get the shape I wanted. I tipped her on the original 11 dollars they usually charge. At that second I saw two of the girls glance over surprisingly if they didn't expect that I would leave a tip just because I paid a dollar for the appointment. I paid that amount thinking that I wanted to do a package deal since I live in Northridge. After that experience I don't think Ill feel welcomed. But the lady who sold me on the $45 package told my that it was good for brows and upper lip. I came in today and it was explained that it's only for brows. Wow. if you've never gotten it done before... yeah it hurts. but bareable. My eyes always start tearing up bcuz u have to use your hands to pull the area on top and bottom of your eyebrows so the threader has easier accesss. Got my eyebrows threaded here. I went into the actual store and the wait was ridiculously long. They were having problems with there credit card machine so only one person was actually working and 2 people fixing the machine. They weren't even apologizing for the long wait or even acknowledging the poor customers who were waiting forever for them to hurry up and start threading! After getting restless i just left and went to one of there stands outside. Price-wise this place wasn't too bad, 10 bucks.I've tried a few different places, but this is by far the worse! She didn't even ask me what I wanted, she just started and it was a surprise. if you go any where else, they always ask! who just starts working w/o knowing what the customer wants ]: poo. I patiently and consistently came for her. Today my patience has run out! I have come 3 times looking for Arpine, Armine, whatever her name is and consistently she isn't there. First of all, I don't understand why this place only has two technicians when there are three chairs in the booth. The place I go to when I'm down in Torrance has at least ten chairs. Still, I needed my eyebrows done right away so I biked here all the way from campus. I didn't mind the hour wait because I thought it would be worth it. I was wrong. When they have you put your name on their list, there's a space to write down what you want done. I clearly wrote eyebrows/upper lip. My technician was SO rude to me, didn't even ask what shape/thickness I wanted. She just went to town on my eyebrows. When she finished my eyebrows, she said "OK done." I had to tell her no, she wasn't done, I needed my lip done as well. What kind of customer service is that? When she handed me the mirror, I wanted to scream! There was a big chunk taken out of my left eyebrow. Now I'm stuck having to fill it in until it grows back. I won't be coming back here, EVER. I have stopped going to this place in 2019, cancelled my subscription. Now all of a sudden, I see charges from this store on my credit card this February. I called them to fix the issue. A guy picks up and I tell him the issue, he says that he will get back to me. Time passed and my problem was not resolved, didn't hear back from them. Been here twice before (both times in the downstairs location, not the open area next to H&M). First time was "mehhhh". The second time.... ...I came out with two totally different shaped eyebrows. (My receipt says "kiran" on it, but dunno if that's my threader's name. She's a young Middle-Eastern girl, late-teens to early 20s.) Left brow was nice and angled; right brow was curved like a McDonald's arch. I HATE that kind of brow shape!!! And I like the natural shape of my brows (even though left is slightly prettier) so why did she change it? She knew I was unhappy with my now U-shaped right brow, but tried to argue with me that she did the right thing when there's nothing right about two completely differently-shaped eyebrows. I went over to show my two friends who were sitting by the entrance, chatting away. They grew silent when they saw my eyebrows and asked, "Can you ask them to fix that?" -.- Proof that I'm not exaggerating. Thank goodness I grew my bangs out. I have no idea why I tipped her. The only thing I don't like the last couple 5 times it's there false price advertisement threading cost $10, but they charge $11. Therefore I don't give tip, because they charge it without asking. I've been getting my eyebrows done here for YEARS and I've always got a great pair of eyebrows. Unfortunately about 4 months or so ago, I had a girl do my eyebrows (I wish I remembered her name) it seemed like it took forever and it was SO painful in spots I've never felt... Which is when I started to panic. I felt threading in strange places and sure enough... She thread in the worst places my eyebrows were not only uneven horizontal and diagonal, she took random hairs from in middle of each eyebrow creating a random bald spot in both of my eyebrows. It's been months and the hair doesn't seem to grow back in those spots, which results in a lot more filling in and a lot more disappointment. Still growing out, so disappointing because I've been a loyal customer for at least 7 years without a bad experience but... So I came here very last minute on a Friday night! There was two people on the wait list ahead of me, however, I waited for 5 minutes! I was soooo nervous. The last time I threaded my eyebrows I was 15 and it was horrible and hurt so bad, I swore I'd never do it again. My sister recommended I come here as she's a loyal customer. Lucina B. did my eyebrows! She was sooooo sweet! And I told her I was nervous and she said shed be gentle, which she was! It did not hurt as much as I thought it would. It feels just as bad as wax. I actually liked it a lot more as my skin was not red at all! She also did my upper lip (lol yes haha) and that did hurt a bit more, but ofcourse that area is pretty sensitive so it's bound to happen. She also made the effort to speak to her coworkers in English in order to make me feel comfortable (I could tell Armenian was her first language) Overall she was soooo sweet! So ive been coming here ever since they opened up the first one in this mall (the one that was located across from the new starbucks that now is a yogurt place?) and theyve always done an ok job ive always got them done by 3girls theyre pretty good. i went in last saturday with my mom to the kiosk one in the mall since now they have 2 locations in the mall and we got our eyebrows threaded the girl that did them did a great job she was i believe indian? i recomend her and elvira shes good too i cant remember the others names. other then them im kinda scared to try anyone else. btw i love that after an X number of times youy get your eyebrows done they give you a free eyebrow threading. After moving to San Francisco, the only deals I know of are eyebrow threading in the Northridge Mall. While I was in high school (no longer than a few years ago), working my part-time job, I was one of the very first customers when they opened. Since then, I showed up every 6 weeks and got my eyebrows done by Azi. She knows what she's doing and makes my eyebrows top shape. When I came back to visit family a few months ago, they had this customer inputing system that "kept track" of their customers. Where was this when they first started? I came here because my usual place was closed. This place is $ 10 more than my usual place for full face. I came in 30 minutes before closing time and was attended right away, I don't know if it was a cultural difference but I felt like she was a very abrasive and she just moved my hand very harshly without really asking and it hurt. I know that threading does cause some pain, but usually it's a very relaxing process for me, I wanted to at times get up and leave my face half unfinished. And even though she was fast, there was still missed a substantial amount of hair. She spoke to the other girls there in a different language and the only time she spoke to me was to tell me about their promotion.
