My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Sharbo for over 30 years. During that time we have raised two kids, a boy and a girl, and both of them were also patients of Dr. Sharbo and his dental hygienist crew. We made it a point to teach our kids how important it is to like going to the dentist and how important proper oral care is. Neither one of them have ever been afraid to come here. Or for that matter when they needed orthodontia work they had no fear of that either. Mind you, they didn't particularly care for the braces part, but they weren't scared to go for procedures. Anyway, back to Dr. Sharbo's office and staff. We have always enjoyed going there and made sure that when we brought our kids in for appointments, we presented a calm demeanor so that they did not pick up on anything other than calmness from us. That's the parents job! (This should go without saying, but some people just don't get it.) The staff has always been friendly and cooperative, especially Veronica. When it comes to making something happen with scheduling she has always been very helpful. And as far as testing her patience goes, I know of the four of us, I have been the one to push her the hardest because I'm always canceling and rescheduling my own appointments. Anyway, I haven't had to have any dental work in years and I have been particularly busy over the last several months which has resulted in missing my teeth cleaning appointments. Now I have ended up with a small issue in one of my teeth that is causing me much discomfort. I called yesterday and Veronica found a way to fit me in today, the very next day... Dr. Sharbo figured out what was going on and took care of the issue. I left there feeling very thankful. I have an appointment for a teeth cleaning coming up and I'm going to do everything in my power to not let my life get in the way of that! HORRIBLE DENTIST!!!! Tried to pull a wisdom tooth that was not causing ANY PROBLEMS!!! But I trusted him, and thought, ok, he knows best..... after several minutes of pulling, and saying that HE HURT HIS HAND... I made him stop, he did say he'd have either broke the top of the tooth off or broke MY JAW!!!!! THE DENTIST CONFIRMED THIS, but I'm not sure he'd have stopped if I hadn't raised my arms and said ENOUGH!!! Then he said "you're not getting out of having all those fillings replaced!" I decided to get a second opinion, 2nd dentist confirmed there is NOTHING WRONG WITH MY FILLINGS!!! My husband was going to stay with Sharbo, he's close to our home, went in for a cleaning, and asked on his way out, "do I owe you anything?" NOPE, they said. After I asked to have MY records forwarded to new dentist, they sent us a $540 bill!!!!! Time to get my attorney involved. THIS IS TOTAL CRAP!! This dentist is only out to make money off of patients with insurance. I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND HIM..... read more

Our family has received exemplary care from Dr. Sharbo, his associates, and his office staff for years. I used to be an extremely nervous and reluctant patient, and I did not see a dentist for over ten years. Dr. Sharbo was kind and helpful in helping me overcome my fear, and I now am faithful to regular visits. My husband is currently recovering from spinal surgery, but he also has needed dental work that could not be postponed. The staff has made every effort to attend to his needs in navigating the chair - no small thing! The last time we were in the office, I noticed that several patients had some obvious special needs. Clearly these patients and their caregivers must have great trust in Dr. Sharbo and his staff to choose them for their vulnerable loved ones. As to the office management, you couldn't ask for a more compassionate person at the front desk. Veronica has always gone the extra mile to assist us with billing, contacting our insurance company when issues have arisen and getting back to us when things are resolved. What I appreciate most about Veronica, though, is her kind and genuine personality. She always has time for a little conversation and good cheer. Care, quality and staff experience and understanding. This is the worst dentist in Tucson IN MY OPINION, which I'm legally allowed to say. I do not mean to slander nor berate this dentist but it's been time for him to go about 5 years ago. He was arrogant with me, did not want to answer my questions, did not put forth a plan to proceed with in the future, belittled my husband and myself, did not smile nor greet me in the chair in a professional manner. I thought he was a MUTE . After the procedure was completed there was. O aftercare instructions, no medication, antibiotics or pain, which is a NORMAL COR EXTRACTED TEETH, and then just went to another patient without dismissing me or giving me any instructions. Then we get to the BILLING SITUATION! This lady Veronica is sneaky, tells you one price then you pay more because they come up with their little fake add on charges and she goes OFF 0n you for questioning her. Then I get a letter from my insurance company stating that you owe over $300 when there was no co-pay and what he did was covered, o had no copay and no charges I should have paid. I suggest that you stay the bell away from Paul Sharvo and his office manager Veronica, I don't trust them at all. I've never been as mistreated at a medical facility anywhere like I was here. Start to finish, everyone is friendly and professional. I have had my best dental care, cost, efficient, quality. Everyone shines!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. If you have children run as far away from this office as possible. The amount of disrespect my 5 year old son endured during a cavity filling appt from this hateful man is unfathomable. Yes I should of left this office as soon as Dr. Sharbo covered my son's mouth with force to stop him from crying but I was in utter shock and disbelief. We had never witnessed anything like this before. He has no business working on children. He could simply deny children if he hates them so much. My son deserved patience, love and understanding but received abuse at the hands of this monster. Staff tried to set my mind at ease and acted like this was all normal behavior from a Doc. No way! My family and I are leaving this office after many years although we will miss our dental hygienist Maggie. read more
