I could drool typing this... This was a very tasty Halal lunch. I had a salmon wrap and mini sweet potato pie. The wrap was warm with grilled veggies and served with a special sauce :) I devoured it. The flavors and seasoning were just right. I personally wouldn't get the pie again. It was the size of my palm for $3.50 I think and it was so not-delicious that it took me two days to eat it 0_o. I ordered ahead, because I knew how popular this place is, especially on Saturdays. After calling twice and being told they weren't open yet (2pm on a Saturday) I finally placed an order. Once I arrived, not only was my food not ready, but I had to wait in line with the people who hadn't ordered yet. About 30+ minutes later, the food was finally ready. You should at least acknowledge the folks waiting to be served. Before just walking away, and if you're going to step in and assist help in order. Taking your friend first for a pick up order(who then added something to their order) before tending to folks who had been waiting; wasn't cool. I haven't had their food in awhile so I decided to eat there again since their food truck minutes away from my house. The food has changed completely in taste and the prices have drastically increased. The wrap was drenched in their special sauce to the point where it overpowered all the other ingredients. My bf got the platter and he said the broccoli was not even cooked and the shrimp had no flavor. For their prices to be that high I would expect more from then when it comes to quality food and presentation. But shoutout to the friendly man who took my order at the food truck. Sitting in the darn parking lot tearing UP one of their Salmon Wraps. Anytime I'm on this side of town, I can't wait to come here and get some noms. It's a small space, no real seating and you order through a bulletproof window, but don't be fooled! This is food of Kings and Queens! Their wraps are well-priced (only 8 dollars for the salmon wrap) and stuffed to the brim with sauce, meat, rice and veggies (even though I don't get the rice it's still filling). It's so savory but I don't feel like I over-ate. That is until I treat myself to the Sweet Potato Cheese pie. OMG, so delicious...right out of the fridge. Again, I'm sitting here tearing it up in the parking lot. Come to think of it I don't think I've ever made it out the parking lot before I ate all my food. Based off the pictures of the food and the good reviews I was expecting way more. I have no problem dropping any amount of money on good food (especially seafood) so when I looked at the menu and saw the prices for the type of food I thought is was a pretty good deal. I ordered the Salmon Platter, no rice, added Lump Crab, Jumbo Shrimp, extra veggies and extra sauce on the side because I figured this is what makes the food so special.....Hmmmm wrong. The concept of the food is very good but honestly what I got was canned salmon topped with maybe 4 lump pieces of crab, 3 small shrimp (not jumbo) drizzled with what tasted like Thousand Island Dressing/Big Mac Sauce. I wouldn't suggest not to give this place a try, I personally just was expecting real salmon at the least and a sauce like no other. Good portion of food though. read more

So my husband finally took me try this place it's literally an hour and some change away but I read about it online and they are halal so we took the trip.Its not located in the best looking part of town but they have good food .Hubby had the chicken and shrimp platter and I had the shrimp and crab platter.I love the quality of their ingredients,great service but the decor needs some help.I get it it's about the food but the paint is chipping away from the ceiling looks like it could be water damage .You can tell the food is made with a lot of love and very fresh hopefully they can make renovations because the decor does not do the food justice or open a location in Montgomery county.Their sauce is definitely boss!will I visit again? Ummmmm I ordered the chicken & salmon platter tonight & both were just okay... This was the second time I stopped by Shareefs and the last time was excellent! This time I was unhappy with the customer service, parking, and the platters seemed skimpy for my $22 spent I may go back because I want to support minority business but maybe one hour before closing is not the best time to stop in to order! I'm sorry I have to give a bad review. Shareef's use to be one of the best lunch spots on my list. We came early so it should have been fresh. I got the 15$ shrimp and crab meat wrap and my other got the chicken wrap. When I say I am embarrassed because I suggested such a bad place I am embarrassed by far the worst. The manager was late and they hadn't made fried chicken yet and the establishment was open. It was so unprofessional the man that works in the back was taking orders and he couldn't speak English and his facial expression and body language was so bad 3 other people said something. read more

So this is my second time eating from Shareef's Grill, the first time I fell in love and after this second time I'm glad to say we're still going steady! This time I ordered the four chicken wings with fries and broccoli and it was amazing. The chicken was golden brown the veggies were nice and fresh and the fries were golden and crispy! It is wonderful to see that the quality has not diminished now that they have 2 locations in Baltimore! I love that this particular restaurant can do something as decadent as a salmon wrap with cheesy rice and vegetables as wonderful as they do casual food like fried chicken wings and catfish nuggets! This location on Franklin Street even has a tiny yet cozy outdoor seating area! Decided to stop by after hearing such great reviews & i wish I hadn't. I got the chicken and shrimp platter..my fiancé got the shrimp and crab platter...paid $33 (wtf!)..we sat in the car and when we opened the box all we could smell was the white creamy sauce poured all over it--it smelled gross. And it tasted absolutely HORRIBLE. The sauce taste like a mix of mayo, salt, sugar and something else that I can't figure out. The rice was really good and the chicken was a bit dry. Fiancé said he only had a few bits of crab meat in his. We ate a total of about 5 bites and literally threw it in the trash of their parking lot. Ok so any other time I love Shareef's food but today their customer service was not so good. I called at 7 59 pm and asked if they had beef burgers available. The lady said yes and that they stopped making them past 8 pm so I looked at the clock and it said 8 pm. I said so no more burgers and she said right we stop making them at 8 pm. What I expected them to say was we will make an exception but she did not. This made my fiancé highly upset because he was looking forward to their burger because that is the only thing he gets from there and the fries. Super long wait for the food truck I spotted on Pratt street, but amazing food. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap without broccoli and the special sauce really packed a tasty punch. I opted for a spinach wrap and I was pleased to learn there were options for the type of wrap you could order: Italian, basil, tomato, or spinach. Based on the long lines, I can tell that this place is highly considered for a lot of locals. They are famous for their peach tea and they also serve hot platters consisting of either tilapia, steak, chicken, or grilled chicken or salmon. Pretty impressed with their food truck! Saw them on Baltimore St. around lunchtime at the hospital and got myself a steak wrap. It is delicious, but what makes it damn good is that sauce they use. It took a bit of a wait to get the food, but it was worth it as my food came out hot and fresh. Apparently, they're known for their beverages too. This place is on the edge of a rough area (but there is security), however the staff was extremely polite and humble. The food is Halal, which means basically Muslim approved food. I've heard a lot about this place and I am glad I finally checked it out. I had a teriyaki chicken platter and a chicken wrap. OH MY it was sooooooo amazing. Along side a fresh juiced strawberry lemonade, topped off with home made sweet potato cheesecake. I suggest calling in though the wait was lengthy but it's not fast food its fresh all natural food so it's likewise that you wait 25 mins for your food. Ummm no. I'm so disappointed. I used to love Shareef's but my last experience will definitely be my last visit. The food was not fresh. The place didn't look as clean and it was extremely hot. The customer service was the absolute worse. The man taking the orders was not friendly or hospitality at all. He had a scowl on his face the entire time. He gave pretty much everyone in back of me and mom their food before us and it was apparent that he knew them. He didn't get my mother's order right and over charged her by saying she asked for extra shrimp which she didn't but if she did there was no extra shrimp anyway. Every time I went before I always had a good experience, but this literally left a bad taste in my mouth. It was my mother's first time and she always tries to patronize small black businesses in Baltimore but she vowed never again. Truly terrible and sad. read more

They are quick in taking orders but one should understand food preparation that is good, clean and healthy will take time so be prepared but it's not a bad wait and those after you may get their food first as your order may be one that's not ordered regularly like mine was the cat fish nuggets which come w/fries. Super delicious! I've been to their physical location and fell in love w/their wraps which when you visit the food truck, that's the picture across the truck! They are famous for their wraps but everything is good I'm sure. Polite and respectful business owners. Black owned also which is nice to support! So i got a steak platter with yellow rice, broccoli and cheese and a salmon platter with the same sides. Ummmmm the the food is ok. Steak is low quality and kinda like steakum meat. To be real honest, if u not in a rush i'd advise you to make the platters yourself. I normally make the salmon platter myself. Bake some salmon, throw a bag of broccoli in microwave, throw some yellow rice on the stove and mix all together with some cheese and a seasoning of your liking lol cause thats what thier food really literally taste like!! Man the people taking the orders don't know good customer service or really seem to care, food is good though, albeit expensive. I got the sweet potato pie which was great. And the shrimp and crab rice platter was pretty tasty, but as expected for seafood not cheap at $20. I would say if your want something different and can deal with their slightly bad attitudes go for it. They're probably paid badly and have to deal with loads of ratchet customers so I'll give them a pass. read more

Shareef's has really great food!! My ONLY reason for not rating at 5 stars is because of the customer service received. When someone is supporting your business the least you can do is address the customer with a pleasant attitude. Kudos to "Baseem," for having such a great attitude/smile when handling customers.
