Sex on the beach $15 total

**warning! Long detailed tale of our first visit to the shark bar!** Well, a friend and I were both had no kids with us for the first time in 3 years, so we needed something to do after a late night movie on Friday 5-18-18. The Shark Bar is a convenient 10 min drive from where I live. Upon arrival, the parking lot is PACKED; but we took a chance on it anyway. The demographics for this bar was very apparent: the "ghetto" types. At the door, we already felt out of place and way over dressed (jeans and tshirts). The nice Asian woman at the door taking IDs let us know that the cover charge was $5 until 11pm and $10 after that. It was already after 11pm, but let us in for $5. Okay, cool. We walk in the rap music is booming and we immediately seeked out the bar. We found an empty spot at the far right side of the bar and stood there, waiting for service. The young woman behind the bar was busy making drinking, she didn't even acknowledge our presence when we walked up. We watched her serve group after group and still hadn't looked at us. We were standing there for a good 20 mins without even a hello. So, we decided we needed to be more forceful and learned that you're only visible when you get between the gold bars on the bar top. My friend orders us 2 sex on the beach. She was not shy about the alcohol. The drink was so ridiculously strong. Side note: Now, what's the point of using the jigger if you're gonna over pour anyway? $15 for these two drinks. Still no interaction from her. We then go walk around to scope out the place. There are several pool tables around. We had no change to play. The further back you go, the more and more it smelled of marijuana. We stood around and talked and people watched. I felt like we were the only two mexican girls there. The crowd is not very diverse. To me, the music was AWFUL. I didn't know any of the songs, but that probably because I don't care for rap music. So, we sucked down our first drink and went to the bar for another. We were told by an older woman that a drink called Sexy Bitch are really good. So, we went to the middle of the long bar to another female bartender. It took awhile and if you're not forceful, people WILL cut in front of you. This bartender did see us and did communicate that we would be next. We asked for the sexy bitch. She didn't know what it was. She said people kept asking for it, but she didn't know what it was and even asked us what was in it. She suggested a Jolly Rancher. We got 2 of those, one Apple and one watermelon. Hello alcohol! There was very little flavor, all alcohol. I sucked it down as fast as I could, couldn't waste alcohol but it was flavorless. Toward closing, the music was deafening. So loud. After dancing for a bit, we went for one last drink. At this point it was last call and they were serving only beer and shots. We got a shot of fireball each. Well, we paid for a shot, but we got double shots. Being the lightweight I am, and after all those drinks, I was good and toasted. Outside, there was a taco guy. 3 tacos for $5. Smelled Ah-mazing. But $40 worth of drinks later, we went for the more economical jack in the box lol SO! To sum it up, the service sucked, the music sucked, the drinks sucked, the people were not very friendly...so not our scene. We will only come back if our exploration of the city's other bars prove fruitless.

Had a coo time there...paid $10 to get in on a Thursday and guys pay $15. Didn't have a drink this time around, but when I have had drinks there, they were pretty good.

Honestly - I would give it 5 stars if they played actual music when we came. But the drinks are amazingly cheap and STRONG. I would come back definitely. They have food outside in some sort of shack lol. My friend ordered a bahama mama and it's super strong ($6.50) pretty dope. I'm getting a little tipsy typing this so I'll go now. But check this place out! I came on a Sunday but I would have to go on a fri or sat for sure.

Best dive bar ever. Great music, atmosphere and friendly staff. Great place to have a drink and hang out or play pool.

Don't order any drinks from this bartender!!! She makes horrible drink and refuses to replace it!

Ha ha. They charged an entry fee just so you could come in and buy your drugs. That's pretty crazy.

The place is loud (TV sound) but in a good way to hear the game. Lots of TV 's in every direction and a pretty good crowd in for the games making it for a fun atmosphere. Took the waitress quite a long time to bring us waters (weren't feeling the drink game today and just need to rehydrate. The waitress took the request and didn't bring the waters for about 15-20 minutes (even after returning to the table to take our food order). We ordered the Garlic Chicken Pizza (so good), and a Philly Steak Sandwich (eh, not the greatest), and it also took the waitress a good ten minutes to bring us plates for the pizza. Also ordered from our table was a calzone with pepperoni but she added pastrami and that was an odd addition. The food came out of the kitchen in waves, first the sandwich, then the pizza and then the calzone. Loved the name of the place and the garlic chicken pizza but the place needs to work on service both from the wait team and the kitchen timing. The bathrooms were a bit of disaster too (seat covers all over the place), which could have been some kids from a large group of kids that were in the back room, but should be checked regularly.

Big Guys Pizza in Moreno Valley is one of those spots that reminds you why substance beats surface…read moreevery time. To be upfront, the building itself -- along with the entire strip it's located in -- could really use major upkeep. The flooring, bathrooms, and overall structure show their age, and it's clear that the whole stretch of businesses there has infrastructure issues that need attention, not just this one place. Some neighboring spots have even shut down because of the condition of the strip as a whole, so it's definitely not something unique to Big Guys. The property itself needs broader renovation and maintenance work across the entire area. That said, what truly matters shines once you step inside: the people. The staff brings such a welcoming, genuine vibe that it completely shifts your experience. They're friendly, attentive, and make you feel like you belong there, which is something you can't fake. The bartenders especially deserve recognition -- they're skilled, personable, and know how to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere. If you want a great drink without overspending, this bar is honestly a standout. The value for what you get is hard to beat, and the energy they bring makes it a great place to relax and enjoy an adult night out. And then there's the food, which is the real star of the show. The pizza is phenomenal -- flavorful, satisfying, and consistently good. It's the kind of place you go when you care more about taste, good service, strong drinks, and a fun crowd than fancy decor or aesthetics. Big Guys Pizza may not be about looks, but when it comes to food, people, drinks, and overall experience, it absolutely delivers where it counts. Will return and have returned. we don't need anything fancy to feel good, this feels like we can be comfortable in our own home.

However, I've been back a number of times & while I love the restaurant, it's seriously struggling when it comes to food & service. The last straw came when our family came to eat there after going to the cemetery together with my dad for my mom's birthday. She passed in 2022 so we usually go as a family & then go out to eat afterwards. It was relatively empty with one large party finishing up their dessert & a party of 4. We were a party of 14. So we waited so we could be seated together. We asked to be seated in the main dining area at a large group of tables together but were told that those tables were "reserved." So we waited about 20 minutes & the party of 4 left first. So we all sat there next to the pool table. We got menus & the waitress took our drink orders. It took 25 minutes more in the relatively deserted restaurant for the waitress to take our food orders. Once she took our orders we waited...and waited...and waited. Meanwhile the restaurant is starting to get busy. Everyone around us that came after us was getting their food. But not any of us. Finally, 2 of our orders came out. Then about 15 minutes later 2 more orders came out. It continues like this & I'm at the other end of the table & still waiting for our food. It's been 2 hours now & I'm hangry. My sister finally got her side dinner salad. Yes you got that right-- she waited 2 hours for a side dinner salad! She also ordered pasta & took one bite and you guessed it--the dish was barely warm. She had waited 2 hours for a dinner salad and cold pasta. The waitress offered to have it remade but she wasn't willing to wait an eternity for them to redo her dish so she asked the waitress to just have them reheat it. My other sister finally got her salad which was an actual meal with cold chicken and other veggies in it (smart girl I guess because it being cold wasn't a problem). After that, the cold pasta was brought to the table reheated. They finally brought my dish which was an appetizer platter that was supposed to include jalapeño poppers, pectaters with pulled pork, fried pickles and onion rings. I had ordered this because my husband had ordered the Mac & Cheese with the pulled pork & we intended to share because he loves the poppers. I noticed that there were more pecktaters & no poppers. I asked the waitress where the poppers were. She replied, "Oh they ran out of those so they substituted the pectaters." I kind of lost it by that point because I'd already waited 2 1/2 hours for an appetizer platter (which usually comes first not last). I said, "That would have been good to know BEFORE I ordered. The whole reason I got this as a meal was because my husband loves the poppers." She replied "Let me check & see if I can deduct $5 off or you can order something else." Honestly I was NOT going to wait forever for them to make something else so we just took the $5 off because by this time we had been there 3 hours. So I had all these pecktaters which I did not eat & by this time my hunger had passed & I didn't feel like eating a bunch of massive potato balls. I ate the onion rings & fried pickles had two bites of Mac & cheese & I was done. Seriously, in what restaurant universe do you substitute something in an order WITHOUT asking the customer?! I'm sorry but in the restaurant business, the customer is king. They are the reason you're in business. While I realize we were a large party, it was so vexing that the kitchen couldn't get our orders out while everyone that came later was getting their food. Then some of us got cold food (my sister's pasta wasn't the only dish that came out cold). It's just not good service. Also bringing out dishes 2 at a time with 10-15 minutes in between & bringing out cold food is not acceptable. Substituting other items for what was ordered without asking the customer is also not acceptable. This was an important occasion for my family and spending so much time watching other people get their food and waiting so long for ours was disappointing. My family never wants to eat there again. This was an EPIC FAIL. It's not the first time that the service was subpar since my first visit. I've gone with just my husband & had a similar experience with slow service & cold food & watched employees on cell phones ignoring us. I kept giving it chances because it really is a cool place but I just can't justify spending money for food and service like this. I will not be going here again. That's pretty sad because if the kitchen got their act together & the service was remarkably better I would love eating here. When they get the food out hot and cooked right it's definitely really good. But I'm sorry I can't pay good money for more miss than hit.
