    Whiting Fish Platter

Tried the 2piece fried fish weekly combo which was 10 bucks! Can't beat that. The food came out quick and fresh. I enjoyed it. The location is located in a shopping center with a large parking lot. They also had seating inside, which was nice. Definitely recommend.

The Fish is Cooked to Perfection and seasoned well. Yet today 3-14-2025 both BOGO The wings and fries were tough, overcooked and cold , it's like they just floured it and put it in the grease and forgot it . I asked for Mambo sauce on it but Denied! Yet it helped me notice and taste it was overcooked and tough. This was my first meal of the day!! since I've been sick and could barely enjoy either item even if dipped in sauce!. Nopeeee Trashed it , should've just got a Double Fish from McDonald's Money Wasted!!. How can you cook Fish so well but miss the mark on chicken so disappointing and dissatisfied. NOT sure if I'm gonna order again, maybe it was just the person who cooked the food today!, idk but now I'm Hungry !!!

Nah! I ordered the catfish nuggets with extra seasoning, tartar sauce, and ranch. Friend ordered the chicken gyro with grilled peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato, and extra tzatziki sauce. Never again. The chicken gyro was awful. Chicken a weird color, very fatty, and dripping in some liquid. The tomato and lettuce was completely wilted due to the heat of the chicken and the tzatziki sauce was nowhere to be found. We tried one bite of the chicken (the most done, normal looking piece we could find) and threw it out. The look, smell, taste, and texture were all problematic. The catfish nuggets were a good size, tasty and crispy (one star) BUT the seasoning requested was missing. The tartar sauce was premade squeeze packets and not enough for the fish. This is a no for me.

This was a random selection as I wanted some seafood from Maryland location. Service: On this day there was only two people working on the front counter with seem like two people working the kitchen. Service was really good, and they were vastly willing to assist as I was new to their establishment. Unfortunately, they did not give a great explanation of the crab cakes being sold separately as a dinner and not just the cakes. Food: Exceptional selection. I was satisfied with the choices they provided as everything was cooked to order. The fish was cut into small pieces, sitting on top of a bed of fries and surprise of two slices of bread at the bottom of your meal. It was okay seasoning on the fish fries was cooked without tasting burnt or cooked in old grease. There as great selection of drinks as well. The crab cakes was a little too breaded from me but overall still pretty good. They have a great platters that will accommodate a big family or medium size party. Overall: I would recommend this restaurant. I would be a little concern if it is little busy because you could be waiting for a while as all orders are cooked to order and there is not a lot staff. Pack your patience and just enjoy some great seafood.

maybe it's the east coast in me but i moved to LA and routinely find myself missing the crunch of sharks fried fish.... i get it on salad sometimes too but the rice is definitely more filling. their grilled / fried fish salads and platters are my favorite. traditional wings are hot and extra crispy... their breading is so unique (the only reason i cant go somewhere else in LA ). just don't like the party wings.

Husband loves their chicken. Big portions and crunchy chicken or fish . Tried the cheesesteak is decent and the lamb over rice is pretty good also. The fried oysters are good as well

So this is was a random review for me. I was driving by, decided to stop, and went in. They have a $15 crab cake on their menu. Since I've frequented spots that have market priced lump crab meat, I wanted to see what a $15 Crab Cake was looked like. Let's GO!! . Where I am: @sharksseafoodandmore . Location Reviewed: 10201 Martin Luther King Jr. Hwy #120, Bowie M.D. . Menu Includes: Fried Tilapia, Catfish, Ocean Perch, Shark, Trout, Red Snapper, Croaker, Flounder, & Whiting, Whole Wings. Drumsticks, Chicken Tenders, Gizzards, Nuggets, Calamari, Scallops, Grilled Salmon,Shrimp, Snow Crab Clusters, Frog Legs, Seafood Boils, Drinks, Desserts, & More. . Items Reviewed: Their Fish & Chicken Combo (with 1 fried piece of fried catfish, 2 pieces of fried whiting, 2 whole wings, and fries $15.99). Wings...DECENT. They were edible. The Fries...PASS. Undercooked, and they had a freezer taste to them. The Catfish...DECENT. It didn't taste or feel like real catfish. The Whiting...DECENT. Bland, they were just ok. Their Fried Shrimp Po'Boy (a 12"sub with pickles, remoulade, & onions $11.99). PASS. The shrimp were overcooked which made them rubbery. The breading's adhesive crust fell off immediately, and the remoulade had no flavor. Their Crab Cake Dinner (with cajun rice, lemonade, cocktail sauce, seafood sauce, Mumbo sauce, tartar sauce, & coleslaw $15.99). DELICIOUS!! The crab cake, with all the filler & backfin meat, was actually pretty good. The Rice...PASS. Again...flavorless. The Coleslaw...NAH. It tasted like cabbage & mayonnaise with no additional seasoning. The D.C. Sweet Potato Cake-$6.99 ( @dcsweetpotato ). STAMP!! Moist, & sweet with a creamy frosting. Everything it sounds like...Sweet Potato CAKE!! . Customer Service: Welcoming. . Online Navigation: Simple/Easy . Parking: Plentiful/Lot . Recommendations: If you're going to get anything...get the Crab Cake,& DEFINITELY the Sweet Potato Cake!! =STAMP =LIKE THAT =DELICIOUS =DECENT =PASS =NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

It's not bad at all. Can't go wrong with fried whiting and hush puppies. My go to spot instead of eating chain fast foods

However, I'll be ordering other things (no flounder) in the future! CUSTOMER BEWARE!! Poor customer service gets me fired up. Especially when you've been a loyal customer. Mid-Atlantic Seafood New Carrollton has lost a long-time customer. When you think you can attempt to pass off tilapia/sway/whiting as flounder and think the customer will not know the difference- not once, but twice- it's a problem, especially when they aren't the same price. I now understand why folks check their orders before they leave! Sorry, but if I can't trust you to fill a cook-to-order properly, I can't trust you to eat anything you serve.

The name is deceptive. There are so many lunches and dinners to choose from here that are not…read moreseafood, in addition to the abundance of seafood. It's a fact: Mid-Atlantic Seafood can be easily overlooked for non-seafood options, ie where else in the area - or anywhere close ie New Carrolton, Landover Hills, Lanham, Seabrook, Glendale and Greenbelt - can you find at least 8 types of cake slices, 6 cheesecake flavors and 6 pies? The answer is nowhere unless you are at a grocery store or a bakery. I'll go over the types of desserts later. Any entree that comes with sides will give you 30 choices. Which of the 30 sides will you choose?! With so many dining options to choose from, do yourself a favor: flip-thru all of the menu options at the tiny menu monitor to the left of the dessert case before deciding what to eat because out of the 9 gigantic, rotating monitor menus, I didn't as easily see half of what they actually offer. Just go to the small monitor and read about all of the appetizers, salads, entrees and deserts efficiently. Alternatively, visit https://mid-atlanticseafood.com/new-carrollton/ on your phone. Seriously: aside from all of the seafood on the large monitors, you can get turkey, homemade meatloaf, barbecue chicken and ribs. As for the 30 sides to choose from, some are macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and French fries. We loved the mac-n-cheese. And the cheesy potatoes look overly rich but they are not. Really enjoyed those, too. These are classic potatoes au gratin with a bit of extra cheese and a lot of flavor. They also serve diverse varieties of other sides, including lo mein, white rice and cornbread. Not to mention the grilled vegetables, green beans, cheesy broccoli, corn and other options on the massive and never-ending steam table. On the 9 main video screens, you can get more than 7 kinds of fish and choose if you want it fried, baked or grilled. We wanted ours' baked. The waiter recommended to have it grilled because it would take less time and be more tender. We didn't listen to his advice, but he was right. Our baked fish was ok but we would love to come back and taste it grilled. The variety of fish offered is impressive, from ocean perch to salmon to tilapia to flounder to grouper to mahi mahi to whiting. You can also order crabs, snow crab legs and shrimp. Also want to try the stuffed shrimp here. When it says, "stuffed," that means with crabmeat. They have a garlic butter seafood boil here with crab legs, spiced shrimp, andouille chicken sausage, corn, etc. Meow. The chicken comes 4 ways: barbecued, fried or baked and as chicken wings. They have 3 types of pork chops: grilled, fried and smothered with gravy. Their entrees come with a choice of white bread, wheat bread, a potato roll or a slice of cornbread for an upcharge of $1.00. I didn't taste the cornbread on this visit but I'd like to, next time. One team member passionately said it was really good. We tried the mango slaw and it was good but not sweet. I heard the regular cole slaw is even better, so I would like to try that because I'm guessing it's as good as all the rest of their food we tried. I would also like to try the crab fried deviled eggs and the Cajun steamed mussels. Not to mention a lot of other dishes there! And now back to the cakes. They have so many desserts to choose from. I mean: multiple flavors of cakes, cheesecakes, pies, etc. They even have Smith Island cakes, which are a thinly-layered and stacked legendary Chesapeake Bay tradition. The current flavors are chocolate, red velvet and coconut at time of writing. We enjoyed our lemon short cake, the lemon berry marscapone cake and the mixed berry shortcake. Six different flavors of cheesecake, anyone? I'll next try the sweet potato and cinnamon cheesecake, please. They also have 6 kinds of pies including pecan, key lime and cookies and cream. The design of Mid-Atlantic Seafood is understated, clean and simple: counter service, a cold case of desserts and salads, a series of long steam table ms and a small eat-in dining area for maybe 20 people. The restrooms: clean and regularly checked. The staff are all helpful and busy. Good people serving good food! Do consider this a cafeteria, specializing in seafood with an out-of-this-world bakery.
