Came here for a quick dinner, it was very empty for a Friday evening but definitely got more lively as the night progressed. The playlist is a mix of R&B oldies but goodies from the late 90's-early 00's which is definitely my type of vibe. I ordered a boil bag which came out within 20 minutes (kudos to them for the efficiency) and was delicious--the Rockin Bomb sauce was a great touch. I will add that the snow crabs were pretty tough shelled and hard to crack for all of us at the table, and the meat was a bit "mushy" so they may have been slightly overcooked. Nevertheless, the food was still very tasty. The main con was definitely the service, our waitress did not check-in on our party after we received our food and a lot of people were missing ordered food items, we didn't have refilled refreshments, and someone had an "unknown substance" in their water cup. The only reason she ended up coming to our table was because we had to flag her down from the other side of the restaurant which was a bit frustrating. Okay so first things first, Rock & Toss got a bonus star for serving us popcorn. I'm not sure about the rest of us, but that was new for me. Moving on, this restaurant was a good spot to go to. I went on a random Wednesday night and there was almost no one there. A table here, a table there. A decent amount, including a lot of the bar section was occupied. I was craving a boil bag for weeeeeeks, and was truly satisfied this day. I usually order spicy, but got medium this time and still enjoyed it. Along with the noodles. To know me is to know I love seafood boils, so I was really excited to try out this spot for the first time. We arrived around 6pm on a Friday and were seated right away. Even though this isn't advertised on their website, they have an option for AYCE boils, so if you're feeling gluttonous, this is definitely the way to go. As an FYI, the whole table has to participate and there is a time limit of 90 mins. The waiter starts off bringing popcorn to the table, which I think is a nice touch. I started off with a mango margarita, which I enjoyed. We did the AYCE option, and I started off with the Cajun wings. I enjoyed the flavor of these. For my boil bags, I tried both the Rock'n bomb and the Cajun sauces, spicy. The spice level was nonexistent to me. I liked the Cajun sauce better than the signature sauce, but both were too oily for me, tbh. Delicious food, terrible service from the manager! I'm in town visiting my family and my mom, cousin and I decided to try a new seafood boil spot. We love Hot N Juicy and we've tried Hook & Reel but we don't like it very much. Upon arriving, we were told it would be a 40 minute wait which is fine. Once we were seated, Kelly came to take our order. She was very pleasant and answered all of your questions. We ordered drinks, calamari and oysters as appetizers, however, we got our entrees before our appetizers which is not what we intended so we had to rush through our appetizers. We got a bit frustrated by this and on top of that we didn't eating utensils. Anywho, upon digging in our boils, we realized one bag included more crab legs than we ordered and missing items. My cousin flagged that she got too much food because she didn't want to be charged. The manager then came with a paper plate and told her to put all the extra food on the on plate otherwise she would have to pay for it. That was the weirdest experience ever! We later learned that our server, Kelly was also the bartender. We immediately gave her grace because it's not fair for her to be the bartender for the entire restaurant and have to wait tables. All in all, the food was great but the manager is awful. She wasn't friendly and provided terrible customer service. I'd go back for Kelly and her delicious drinks but that's about it. read more

It was... honestly not a good first impression for me. I went late one night after catching up with a friend across the street. I had heard countless great things about the spot, so I was quite excited to try it out. And though I wasn't coming for the food (which I hear is phenomenal when comparing to other local Cajun seafood spots), I expected a good time regardless. It was fairly empty in there given the time, and we looked over the cocktail menu. There were some strong looking ones on there -- a little pricey, but we were eager to try anyway. When we received our drinks, my glass was fine... but my friend got wine in a glass that was so scoffed it didn't even have to be held up to light to notice. I hate to say it, but it was one of the dirtiest glasses I've ever seen a drink served in. I didn't get a straw for my cocktail, and they happened to be laying (not standing up) uncovered in a box nearby... I had to grab one myself because the bartender disappeared for quite a while. Throughout the night, our bartender came and went... sometimes being gone for 15 minutes. Even then, sometimes she was present and not taking care of us or anyone else, and had some rather unprofessional and vulgar conversations with someone who was sitting nearby. I didn't know whether he was a significant other or not, but as someone on the job, it wasn't a good look. Especially since it occasionally took a while to take her away from that conversation to get attention. This warranted me to follow up with customer service immediately, which I grab delighted followed up the very next day and said they would look into that staff's conduct. While I don't know the status of that investigation, I do appreciate the time that was taken to hear me out. So points for that. But this was not the experience I was expecting, and am honestly not excited to go back after what I witnessed. read more

I've done all with my most recent order being placed via Door Dash. I ordered the custom combo with Snow Crab legs, green mussels, and sausage with Bomb sauce hot. The bag also included corn and potatoes. The food was delicious, the bomb sauce didn't taste too oily or salty which can happen when you do the combined sauce concoction. I also loved that they gave a ton on sausage. Sometimes, when you order sausage, they only I've you 6 slice and that wasn't the case here. They gave me plenty. The bag was filling enough for a full meal for 1 persons but could also work for 2 if you got appetizers to supplement. Seafood can be expensive, so if you're looking for something with more bang for your buck, I would opt for shrimp or something slightly heartier since the pricing is the same. read more

The food at Rock & Toss is really good. The fried oyster with Cajun sauce were really good. So were the scallops. I was in a large party, and most of us got seafood boils. The Rockin Bomb seasoning was on point. I ordered from a specialty menu that offered an alcoholic beverage, desserts and hush puppies with the boil bag, so be sure to ask for it, because they won't just give it to you. Luckily my friend knew about it, and it made all the difference. I believe my boil was called the" hidden treasures" The service was kind of slow, but we were waiting on some friends to show and so it worked out. Our server was also the bartender, but mentoned that the real bartender wasn't there. She was just trying to do her best, and that also worked in our favor because she had a super heavy pour, and we just kept ordering. At one point we had a monopoly on used glasses, and they started making small drinks in larger cups. We came here and stayed for 4 hours eating and drinking. I don't know how things will be on the next visit, but there will definitely be a next. Rock & Toss is always a good idea. When my friend and I couldn't decide we went with the suggestion of our server Maya and opted to share a Rockin Pot. Let me tell you that the name doesn't give it justice! That pot was definitely ROCK-IN!!! (I bet ya no one ever thought to say that before!lol) But seriously, it was truly one helluva, never ending, succulent seafood boil. It came with Crab Legs, Shrimp, Crawfish, Mussels, Sausages, corn on the cob, and potatoes. We got the rockin bomb medium spiced seasoning base which is a combination of all three of the offered seasonings. The meal was perfectly seasoned, sizzling hot, with a tangy spicy zest that made it hard to stop digging in. Maya our sever was awesome and was by our side non stop with extra napkins, water to tame the heat, and real stiff drinks. Bottom Line: Seafood and such steamed to perfection and a novelty experience. My husband and I stopped by Rock & Toss while we were passing through the area. We'd heard really good things about it and we were excited to give it a whirl. What I really liked about Rock & Toss was the fun and well thought out concept, how perfectly cooked our food was and our sweet server. Since food was the top highlight we'll start there. My husband and I shared the shrimp, crab legs and sausage combo which came with corn and potatoes. They have different seasonings you can select and we went with the Rockin' Bomb which was all of the seasonings together and I think its the only way to go. I was impressed how perfectly cooked everything was seeing as how I believe it was all cooked together. I also really liked the hearty and spicy sausage with the lighter seafood. The corn and potatoes made for a perfect side. We skipped dessert but we did start with hush puppies as an appetizer which were good but nothing spectacular. Rock & Toss has put a lot of thought into their concept. They have everything you need for a messy dining experience - paper on the tables, buckets for shells, plastic bibs, wet wipes and even food grade plastic gloves. I have to admit that wearing gloves to eat seemed really weird to me. I've been picking crabs bare-handed since I was three so the gloves threw me off but I am sure many people really appreciate being able to preserve their manicure. Our server was sweet and she was helpful in assisting us with our selections. Since it was our first time we weren't sure how much to order and she steered us in the right direction. What I didn't love was the music with explicit lyrics. Yeah, I know, I'm a prude! Maybe I came at a bad time (Sunday afternoon). There were kids running around and kids sitting at the bar (instant turnoff). Once one of the servers finally acknowledged me I asked if they allowed kids sitting at the bar, she said no, but they were there anyway. There didn't seem to be much organization in there. Had lunch with a friend last Friday. We sat at the bar and had great service from the bar tender. We both ordered our own bags with crab legs and mussels. I got the lowest spice level and it wasn't spicy at all which the bartender advised. My friend got medium and she said it didn't have much of a kick so I would advise on going higher than you normally would for a spice level. The food was good, but I've had better sauce other places. Amazingly good crab, relatively reasonably priced! We got a soft Soft Shell Crab Basket which had 2 whole soft shell crabs and Cajun fries for only $14. We also ordered the snow crab legs (2 leg clusters) and crawfish (1 lb.) seafood boil Combo was $40.99 and and also contained 2 corn cobbettes and 4 young potatoes. We ordered it extra spicy with all of the offered spices mixed together (called the "Rockin Bomb"). It was delicious! We also ordered the shrimp basket, which was huge and a great deal for only $13. Their cocktail sauce for the shrimp was perfect. They give you a bib and gloves so you don't make a mess of yourself with your seafood boil. Doesn't look like a large location, but when you go inside the bar area is a good size and the seating is ample. The only thing that is impressive here is the size, nautical theme and fun decor. That is where the fun ended for us during our first and last visit. As soon as we entered the lady who seated us did not greet us. Just saying "how many?", with a scowl. Luckily, we were able to order an appetizer and drinks. Which took over 25 mins to come out. Once arrived the drink was very strong to the point that if I ordered a shot of tequila it would had the same effect. The calamari was rubbery, badly fried and greasy. We attempted for another 20 mins to flag down a server. During this time a more tables were seated near us, both complaining over the slow service. A completely different server noticed my attempt to flag our original server over and came herself. She asked if everything was ok and apologized for the wait and explained they were short-staffed. I explained the issues and apologized stating the bartender was out and the manager was making drinks tho not great behind the bar. The only reason they get the additional star is bc of this young lady. She was kind and tried to rectify the negatives, however after well over 45 mins of waiting, even she could not make us stay. I can't even deny how good the food is from Rock & Toss Crab House! We placed an online order where we customized all of our food and everything turned out delicious. I can never estimate how much food to order for 2 people when it comes to boils, but it worked out well here. We ordered the headless shrimp/snow crab combo, a basket of fried shrimp with cheese sticks, 2 orders of french fries, and hush puppies. The Rockin' Bomb sauce was the sauce of choice for our boil, which happens to be a combination of all the sauces on the menu. One word - DELICIOUS! All of the food, with the exception of the cheese sticks, were DELICIOUS! All was prepared well and extremely flavorful. One negative was the young lady working at the cash register. The front door is already congested and confusing enough without having someone working in the front who doesn't comprehend the English language well. When I entered the restaurant it was crowded and I didn't know where to go. I asked the woman behind the counter where to go and she asked for my cell phone number. After telling her 3-4 times and her telling me my food wasn't ready yet, she called another co-worker over and explained the issue. That co-worker then went over and pulled my food out right away. Not really a good look for the entrance of the restaurant. Just too much confusion. The food made up for that minor snafu. A great seafood spot for a delicious seafood boil and other seafood options.
