This place used to be great, but they have seriously declined over time. I recently went there and ordered a large catfish filet dinner and a large percentage dinner. The large perch had pieces so small that they were nearly nugget sized, only 2 normal sized pieces out of 5. The catfish was not catfish but swai. Very disappointing. Even the sauce cups were less than half full. I understand cutting costs, but they have seriously cut food quality and are fraudulently serving swai as catfish. Save your tastbuds and money and go to Shrimp Express instead. Where I should have gone. read more

I had no complaints because I was given ample condiments with the barbecue sauce and hot sauce. Tonight was the second time ordering from this location, and it will be the last. We ordered two dinners (1 Lg catfish nugget and a Lg catfish fillet). The catfish wasn't fried hard, which it was supposed to,it was fried medium, which was fine, no biggie. The catfish nuggets were hard and crispy. The young man that answered when we called back to let him know the nuggets were fried kind of hard and are crispy said they were cooked medium and they're crispy because they're small which makes them crispy. Wow, where to start? First, I decided to come to this location because the service rep at the 159th street location kept hanging up the phone on me. I was just trying to ask if they offered buffalo fish! Her attitude was appalling and she took offense because I thought she was a "Male" instead of a "female". I did apologize to her but that does not excuse the fact on purposely hanging up on customers! I refused to place an order in that location, so I researched around and decided on this location on (Burnham Ave) would be better. Here is what my overall experience at this location resulted: Customer Service: I placed my order over the phone and the cashier was patient and answered all of my questions. I ordered a combination 10 piece wing and 2 orders of Jack Salmon and perch meals.Once I arrived to pick up my order, the food was ready and being placed in bags. Again, the cashier who took my order was very gracious and asked questions regarding sauces and options for our fish: Grade: A Food: Here is where I will not be coming back to Sharks in the future. Both the chicken and the fish tasted old and appeared to be cooked in old oil. Perch is suppose to have a flaky white texture, but this fish was beige and saturated with grease. There was more batter than fish meat which resulted in a greasy,terrible flavor that I could not finish :P The chicken had dark blood spots on the outside that indicates the chicken is old and is probably not good quality. For what I see, Sharks is getting very cheap scrap meat for sell to their customer base. Grade F- Final thought: I truly use to enjoy Sharks in the past, so I am not a new customer just ranting. To hire customer service reps (like on 159th street) still working and insulting customers says much. The customer service rep at this location was the only bright spot I can give. I hate to say this, but Sharks is doing a disservice to the customer base of this community and other locations by serving inferior cuts of scrap meat and cooking it in reused grease. This not only unhealthy, but a slap in the face to very people who purchase this. They should truly be ashamed of themselves trying to sell these products for the price their asking. I hope the people who read this review know that they are being taken advantage of and do not support these establishments throughout the South side. There are better alternatives than Sharks! read more

Their food is good and always done right. Looking for a late night snack, definitely come through. Their definitely not stingy with the lemon pepper either. However, customer service is everything. If it's the older black cashier, she stay with an attitude. Like if you don't like your job then why come to work. Even when you play the "nice" card and tell her "Thank You", she either don't respond or just look at you. Even the cook behind the counter will address you before she does. But if it's the younger white girl, she is cool as hell and is always polite. And she has way better phone etiquette. read more

I was very disappointed. Went in shortly after they open, Lady never acknowledge my present even after I said Good morning. After standing in silence for awhile I ask a question and received what I perceived to be a very nasty and snarky way to speak to a customer. At that point I decided they didn't deserve my business. This review is really for the sharks on sibley ave in calumet city, but since it was not listed, i selected this location; The Sibley ave location, unlike the one in Arkansas has great customer service, and larger side s of cole slaw, not the tiny weenine cups that are in the full meals. you have to ask for the normal sized coleslaw, or i would have given them a 5. no grown ass woman wants a tablespoon of coleslaw, make it atl east a cup!.... I mentioned to the cashier when placing my order that the wings were very small like pigeon wings the last time I purchased fried wings. She explained if they were small the cook would give you extra wings. Well my order today 12/21/2017 of 3 wings were (pigeon wings) very small and there was no extra! As soon as I got home I called to inform them. I was told by the cashier and the cook that there was an extra wing and there wasn't. I will not be patronizing their place of business any longer.
