Was having relatively normal tooth pain for a couple weeks so scheduled a local dentist on my PPO (first mistake). These guys could careless. Essentially, they said it was an infected tooth (#18). Wrong. I know that because the prescribed antibiotics did nothing to help. They also referred me to a specialist that I had to wait a week for just to get an assessment During that time, the pain intensified to the point I couldn't sleep and was literally pacing like a lunatic for five days straight. They hadn't fulfilled the prescription the next day so showed back up the following morning. Didn't matter anyway. No amount of antibiotics, ib profin, Excedrin, or booze, for that matter, helped. There was just intense pain and only intense pain Finally, I had enough. It was this last weekend late on Saturday, August 5th. We were sure nothing was open, but after my gf scoured the internet for open dentist offices, we found Dr. Sharma, thank God. We hopped in the car and arrived around 4:30ish late Saturday afternoon, when you'd expect a doctor to be winding down with a martini. Instead, they quickly injected me for pain relief, even before taking X-rays, then quoted for an extraction, as they said it was cracked(!), thus the reason no antibiotics helped (duh!) Since it was Saturday night and the shot killed the pain, I thought maybe it was best I wait until my Monday appointment before making a decision on next steps. So I left thinking I could stick it out one more day. Very bad idea. Intense pain returned around 9 p.m. (as they said it would!) so was up all night pacing once again. 7 a.m. came around and even though they weren't supposed to open until 10:00 a.m., we showed back up at 9:00 a.m. We called on the way there, and they said that they would rush in to give me another shot, which they indeed did. Finally, the sweet release of lasting pain relief. Truly incredible people and service that cared. Rare to say the least Needless to say I was over the pain. So they prepped me and quickly removed the tooth. Dudes were fast and thorough. I'm a teeth grinder at night so the bones and teeth grow more solid (apparently until they crack ). I could tell doc had to put some elbow grease into getting that hog outta there, but he did. See pic Just the knowledge I won't be pacing like a loon and standing in the scolding hot shower for an hour that night gave me an instant wave of euphoria that I'm still riding. And I was out of there in an hour. Everyone was kind, gracious, and very professional -- and they came in early on a Sunday morning to treat me! Sunday morning! Before they were technically open! Who does that!? Dr. Sharma. That's who. Didn't realize this kind of service existed. To say I'm grateful is the understatement of the century Thank you, Dr. Sharma. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I visited Sharma Dental for an emergency, and while I hope I never have to deal with that level of pain again, I would absolutely return here if I did. On a late Friday night, I developed excruciating tooth pain--the kind that makes it impossible to sleep or think--and my regular dentist is closed Friday through Sunday. I searched for emergency dentists and found that Sharma Dental was open from 7am-11pm. I called right at 7am on Saturday (2/21), and Dr. Sharma answered and told me to come in at 10am. The emergency exam and X‑rays were $295, and I was told I needed a root canal. This didn't surprise me because I had a crown placed on that same tooth in September, and my dentist had already warned me that a root canal might eventually be necessary. The dentist who examined me explained everything clearly and let me know that their endodontist would be available the next day, Sunday, so I could get the root canal done immediately. She prescribed antibiotics and ibuprofen, and I scheduled the procedure for 1pm the following day. When I checked in on Sunday, I was given the full cost of treatment and informed that I would need to pay upfront and then be reimbursed by Delta Dental once Dr. Sharma submitted the claim. This was the only part that caught me off guard, as it wasn't explained the previous day I was there. Thankfully, I have an HSA, so it wasn't a major issue, but it's something patients should be aware of ahead of time. The actual root canal was painless, and the dentist was extremely thorough, gentle, and attentive throughout the entire procedure. She checked in with me constantly to make sure I was comfortable. Overall, the staff were friendly, the dentists were skilled and communicative, and the care was excellent. My only suggestion would be clearer upfront communication about payment expectations before scheduling treatment. Otherwise, I had a very positive experience during a very stressful situation. I visited this office on a Saturday, in February of 2024 for emergency dental care. I have dental insurance, but they claimed they couldn't verify it at the time. Instead, they encouraged me to apply for CareCredit through Synchrony Bank so I could be treated that day. I was in severe pain and was told they would bill my insurance, and that any reimbursement would be used to pay down the CareCredit balance. Over the next year, I called multiple times for updates. They repeatedly assured me they had submitted the claim, even telling me at one point that my insurance wouldn't cover enough to pay off the balance. Then--over a year after the service--they called asking for my insurance information again, despite me having already paid the balance in full (including more than $1,000 in interest to CareCredit). I paid the CareCredit account off completely, yet still received another bill the following month. When I questioned it, I was told it was "interest on the interest," even though the balance had been cleared. Based on my experience, this office uses predatory lending practices, and I believe they double bill by collecting both from patients and from insurance. I was told my insurance had already paid, yet was later asked to personally contact my insurance to get them to pay again--after I had already paid over $3,000 out-of-pocket. To make matters worse, I experienced the most pain I've ever had after a dental procedure here. Quality of care and office experience was not the best. So weird how I had to call multiple times to ask for my dental info to be emailed to me so I can get care at a different practice. I called around 5 for an email to be sent, waited 30 minutes and still nothing so I called the office again just for Angela to tell me she's sending it over. After 30 minutes really? Then another 15 minutes and nothing. I called back again to which she responds she's sending it now. Like it took 45 minutes total of me waiting for her to send my records. On top of that, both my follow ups here were not friendly. I've never been to an office that doesn't recline you back to an upright position when they're done with the exam? It's hard for me to stand up from a sitting position to standing so the fact that I had to do it from a laying position just shows you how much they care about their patients and you have to walk yourself out with no instruction on what the next step of care is?? So weird. He also did my temporary crown for an ANTERIOR teeth which was supposed to stay in for a couple of months while my bone heals. He didn't even bother to color match or grind down any sharp edges. Charges me over $500 for a temp crown that he put zero effort in. Luckily, I went to a different office to fix my temporary crown and the difference is insane. The doctor there was truly amazing and you can tell she deeply cared about her patients. Upon making the appointment through emergency dental service, I was informed that I would have to pay $200 out of pocket for initial exam and X-rays.Also, They will bill your insurance for the treatment. Despite that, the team at Sharma Dental refused to treat me. The reason they gave was that " It would take three weeks to hear back from your insurance. So you would either have to wait three weeks for a response from your insurance to be treated or pay $3,000 out of pocket now for the Exam, X-rays and treatment.". So I reached out to my insurance company for clarification. The insurance representative informed me, " That is how they are supposed to bill your insurance. Sharma Dental to the rescue again!!!!! Had an emergency where I lost my denture case (with my denture!) after my flight and thankfully was able to call Dr Sharma's office. Even while on vacation he was able to connect me with one of the other doctors to get a remodel done and request an emergency replacement. As I no longer live in the area and am visiting for vacation they called around and requested the lab to put a rush. They were able to get me a new set within a day!!!! I went to Sharma dental for an emergency due to a broken front tooth due to getting elbowed in the face. I was told I needed a root and canal to fix since the break was too close to the pulp. However after looking into it, I found it if the tooth is not bleeding nor in pain and the pulp healthy (which is typically the cause from mechanical/accidental trauma) a pulp cap can be performed with the broken tooth part replaced. I wasn't presented this option nor given the option to be referred to an endondotist who specializes in root canals. At the time I did not even know what an endondontist was. If a dentist tells you they would like to perform a root canal always seek a second opinion from an endondontist. The other problem is that the crown performed was very bad. The color not shape matched my other teeth and the fit was uncomfortable. Again, after research I found it's better to get lab created crowns as they are much better at matching your other teeth. At the time of the injury I was under the belief that time was of the essence and I needed immediate care. Better to take the time to do due diligence (although it took me days to find all this information). During the crown I was pushed to have it permanently cemented in. Luckily I refused. At this point is when I knew I made a horrible decision to get the procedure at this establishment. If only I could have gone back in time. I had to go to another dentist to fix my crown. Even though the crown was temporarily bonded it needed to be cut out as it didn't come out easily. I was also told that the crown didn't have enough of a build up to last very long. I'm sure Dr. Sharma is probably a fine dentist when it comes to regular check ups and teeth cleaning. But please, if you need anything significant performed or are in the a circumstance where the decision you make is irreversible go elsewhere. Seek out a specialist. I had my dental implants for my lower denture done by Dr. Sharma a little over 3 ago (June 2019). His professional charges were only about 1/3 of what I was quoted by a heavily advertised on TV dental clinic a couple months earlier. It took about 3 months for my jaw bone and gums to completely heal from the steel implants procedure. I recall Dr. Sharma to tell me upon completion of all work that those teeth were now a permanent part of me. Man was he right, as I physically couldn't get those dentures out of my mouth even for cleaning for over 4 weeks thereafter. It was a hint I needed that I had to push hard at the bottom front of my dentures to dislodge them. That did the trick and I am very happy with his work. Now you can't bite into an apple as shown on TV, but you can properly chew on a piece of steak and other foods that need to be chewed for proper digestion. Well this past month I had my lower dentures pop up few times while chewing in a hot dog and some other relatively soft, but sticky foodstuffs. Yesterday I called his clinic and got an appointment less than 24 hours later for a check-up and adjustments. I went in today and after his adjustment I feel as good as new and my dentures are as solid as they were 3 years ago. But now the big surprise. Upon completion of the repairs I went back to the front desk to take care of my bill. There I was told that this was at no charge and to have a good day. This place is wonderful! They were kind on the phone, they were kind in person, and everyone in the office had a fun and loving quality with one another. I loved being around them. I have recently had horrible experiences with a dentist, and the crown they installed came off after less than five months. It happened in the middle of the holidays so of course no one was available (certainly not the emergency line at my horrible other dentist). Sharma Dental answered and took care of me so well. My crown was back on within two hours of it having come off. I am nervous during medical procedures, especially if anyone in the room seems to be upset or not saying what they are thinking, but this place made me laugh and the staff put me at ease. The dentist who operated on me seemed so good at her job--she was gentle, and kind, and always let me know what was about to happen. I was also so impressed that they charged me the exact amount they quoted me over the phone. They also offered a cleaning but were careful to have me check how long it had been since my previous one so that I wouldn't be charged extra by my insurance. My mom had to go here for an emergency extraction on a weekend, she had to pay out of pocket since they couldn't bill the insurance that day, so they had her pay $750 for an extraction!!!! Ridiculous!!! And the dentist refused to follow up with the insurance the next business day, kept telling us they did and tried to say they will send us a $30 check!!! Which is a SCAM!!!!!! Then they somehow charged the insurance and had them send over a check to the dentist and they kept the check for themselves!!!! I would not recommend this dentist I had teeth pulled and dr Sharma made a bridge and installed it. It lasted about 3 years and it came loose I want back for them to correct it and they took rays and said there was nothing wrong with it. If a bridge is loose there defiantly soothing wrong. I went in for a much-needed root canal. They said I had a gum tissue issue. Once I went to my endodontist he said it was clear from the x-rays I needed a root canal. Their team also did x-rays and charged me an extensive amount of money for it. Getting my root canal done from Daniel choi in pleasant hill (highly recommend) was a lot cheaper and practical than what I was quoted by people who misdiagnosed me and allowed me to continue suffering. read more

I honestly can't rave about this office enough. A little backstory: I had previously been seen by another office where I was told that I needed to have my wisdom teeth removed. Okay, fine no problem, they had fully grown in, not impacted but I did have a pretty severe cavity in one of them that was causing some pain. Unfortunately, that office had told me that since the procedure was going to be "so complicated" that they were going to have to do a bone graft and put me under general anesthesia so the cost was going to be upwards of $5000 after my insurance. I couldn't afford that, so I left that office untreated. Fast forward a few weeks and all of a sudden, the tooth had gotten an infection and I was in the worst pain of my life. Swollen lymph nodes, sinus pain, migraines, the works. I called Sharma Dental ready to pay whatever it took because I was in so much pain. They got me in within an hour of my call. Everything from the atmosphere to the friendly staff and knowledgeable doctor was amazing. I told them I was in pain and they immediately jumped to help me. Then, without having to put me under, swiftly and painlessly removed my wisdom tooth, charged me a fair price and I was out within 20 minutes feeling heard, and most importantly taken care of. Thank you, a thousand times, thank you. I didn't know it was possible to have such a great patient experience at a dental office.
