    Cherry banana shave ice

Nice fluffy shave ice with your choice of multiple flavors. They can add an ice cream base for $2 more. The service is as expected but nothing special. It is also a little gift shop if you want to pick up any souvenirs while waiting. They had a little line when we got there and seating is a bench or two outside as it is located in a small strip mall.

    Watermelon and pineapple shave ice

Mom and pop type shop, had a short wait when I went but it moved quickly. $8 for a shave ice, but serving. Lots of flavors to choose from, I picked half watermelon and half pineapple. They only have one size cup. You can also add soft serve (for additional $). The watermelon was fantastic, and the pineapple was also tasty (slightly less sweet). The flavors didn't taste too artificial but they are very strongly sweet.

My family and I really enjoyed the shaved ice here. They offer a lot of different flavors, and we really loved the ice cream add on at the bottom. It's a nice sweet treat at night, but not crazy sweet where you get sick of it. There was an older couple running the place and accommodated a big group very fast!

I haven't been here in over 4 years. It's the same great shave ice I remember! Cold, flavorful, and delicious. The service was great. There was no seating inside - only a single bench to sit on outside. Slightly pricey too... we paid $21 for 2 shave ice with ice cream and condensed milk.

We came here looking for shaved ice to satisfy my kid's dessert cravings. The place is old but quaint inside. My family really liked the shaved ice rating it from good to great but not spectacular

Half coconut, half passion fruit ($8.08)

This shaved ice spot happens to be right by our hotel and I was craving some, so decided to stop in! It was pretty busy; there were three parties ahead of us in line. The store had zero air flow inside. It was so warm. They really need to get at least a fan. All of the shaved ice creations are made to order. There's an old school style shaver and only one size option for each order. I chose a combo of the coconut syrup and passion fruit. It was really good! The ice was a bit hard to break down and messy, so I don't recommend eating in the car. They do have a couple of seating areas outside. Every shaved ice is $8.08, which was cute for the Hawaii area code.

Decent. Not too big for the cost. Good selection of flavors. Kinda on the slow side. Strip mall parking available.

Shaved ice was at the top of our list as one thing we had to get in Maui, and I'm glad we tried Shaved Ice in Paradise. This small shop was clearly family owned and they had great treats. I got the Tigers Blood and you gotta get the ice cream in the bottom! There are benches outside to enjoy the treats. We watched them use a machine for the ice and fix up the treats and we all enjoyed what we got.

Cute little shop. Ordering was straight forward, Choose with ice cream or not, 2-3 flavors, and if you want condensed milk or not. I got blue raspberry, tigers blood, and pina cola , with ice cream, and with condensed milk. Taste was amazing !!! The lady who helped me was super kind. However, there was a man in the corner of the store (perhaps the owner) who was yelling on the phone; kinda off putting. He should definitely start taking phone calls in the back. Great shaved ice !!

    Family loved it.

Very yummy. Ice cream on bottom. Shave ice. Condensed milk Condensed concoction. Seems like a local family that is an older couple is running the place. And we wanted to also support them.

When we were staying in Kaanapali, this was a shaved ice place that was across the street from our hotel. We were here for a few days and came to this place at least once a day, but usually 2-3 times because my dad really liked their shaved ice. On our trip, we island hopped but this place still reigned as our favorite even against the bigger named shaved ice establishments. This is a small mom and pop shop and you can see in my pics the 2 ladies were making each order while the line was out the line. My favorite was the tigers blood with condensed milk to top. It is a small store and there is no room for seating, but there are some clothing racks to buy clothing for sale.

We stopped here after a day beaching over in Napili. There was a line but it moved quickly. The owners were really nice and were impressed my daughter could speak tagalog to them (I couldn't, shame, I know...). What we swallowed: *LYCHEE/BLUE VANILLA/BLUE RASBERRY with CONDENSED MILK and ICE CREAM: shaved ice is good but it's a party with condensed milk and ice cream underneath. They were a bit scrimpy with the ice cream but they really piled on all the shaved ice on top. They owners were really sweet and the shaved ice was great. I would stop here again if I was in the area.

I don't really tend to get a lot of sweet things, but man, I was on a mission to get me some shaved ice while I'm in Hawaii. This place is located really close to our hotel and the owners were actually the people who made the shaved ice. I asked them to make me whatever they felt was delicious and tasted great and boy did it come out really tasty! This place is definitely an order and walk somewhere else to enjoy your shaved ice. There's nothing special about the ambience, but they do have a little gift shop area where you could buy gifts. I actually bought some cool Hawaiian tattoos and it's just great to give back to the locals.

No comparison to Ululani's. Their texture is like the crappy ones you get on the mainland and the syrup is super artificial.

It sits on an overlook and stands out with its whimsical turquoise blue painted "shack". Needless to say, I was intrigued...plus I love shave ice! When we visited in mid-afternoon there was a short line of customers ready to order. Kyle, runs this one-man-show. His mother started the business. I think she runs the Peace Love Shave Ice in Kihei. I ordered the Root Beer Float, thinking it was a "real" root beer float. Kyle explained that it was a root beer flavored shave ice. I was about to change my order to another flavor choice when he convinced me to stay with the root beer float with added Roselani vanilla ice cream. I think I paid $9. My husband ordered the "Customer's Favorite", Mango, Passionfruit, Guava. We sat at one of the few picnic tables and umbrellas, and sampled our refreshingly icy shave ices, while looking at the gorgeous view of Lahaina and the crystal-clear waters. I liked my "root beer float" but it was a tad sweeter than I like. Perhaps I should've added a free sprinkling of Li Hing Mui. Next time! Yes, there will definitely be a next time! Thank you, Kyle!

I think shaved ice is a part of the Hawaiian experience. You put in your order at the kiosk. The ordering line wasn't too long. After you put in your order, there's one person working to get the orders out. They have this big shaved ice machine, that is automative and shaved ice is ready for the person to shape the ice in the bowl, top it with syrup and serve it. It's a quicker concept, than the old shaved iced machines. The flavors I chose were Lychee and Guava. It was ok. The price of shaved ice has gotten more expensive, I thought. The main option there was Island Vintage Shave Ice, so I headed over. This is a walk up spot where you order from the counter without going inside. When I got to the counter I was told they were out of coconut, strawberry, and mango for the day. Since I usually go with lilikoi and coconut, that was a bit of a disappointment, but not a deal breaker. After looking over the menu I ended up ordering a small with lilikoi and pineapple. I then watched as the ice was not shaved fresh but instead scooped out of a freezer. That was a first for me and it showed in the final product. Instead of being light and fluffy, the ice was clumped together and at times a bit hard. As for the flavors, the pineapple was good and tasted true to the fruit. The lilikoi on the other hand was lacking the sharpness that I really enjoy. While they were natural flavors, the balance just was not there for me. The bottom line for me is that I would not head back here again in the future. Between the texture of the ice and the lackluster lilikoi flavor, this one just did not do it for me.
