Tried Shawarma House and overall it was a solid experience. The spot is inside a gas station, you walk in, order at the counter, and they prepare everything fresh. I ordered both the shawarma wrap and the beef kebab wrap. Both were good, filling, and hit the spot, especially when you're craving something quick and satisfying. Flavor-wise it was enjoyable, just not mind-blowing, which is why I went with four stars instead of five. Service was fast, staff was helpful, the prep area looked clean, and prices were reasonable for what you get. Absolutely amazing experience! The food was incredible -- everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We had the chicken shawarma bowls, samosas, spicy fish, chicken and lamb kababs, pakora, baklava and more..and every single item was delicious. You can truly taste the quality and care in each dish. It's inside of the gas station but there are a couple tables if you want to eat in or they will pack it up for you to go. I believe you can even order online and pick it up. The staff were so sweet and helpful, making the whole order and pickup process smooth and enjoyable. The owner was especially accommodating and welcoming, which made us want to come back even more. I had been waiting for this place to open for a few months so when it finally opened I had to check it out. Ambience...well this is part of a gas station/convenience store. Kind of like AC&T stores. There are a few tables but most well choose to takeout. The food is Middle Eastern version of Chipotle. You pick the main dish and then select from a wide variety of toppings and sauces on display before you. The food is quite delicious! The service is very friendly and helpful to those not totally familiar with shwarma and the various toppings. read more

We came down from Shippensburg to check this place out. It's soooo good!! The service is quick, the food is amazing and I love that their homemade naan is very thin that they wrap it in. There are a lot of toppings and sauces to choose from too. It's like Chipotle style when you order. We'll definitely come back! It's inside a gas station, but don't turn it down for that reason! Now, this is what I call a hidden gem in Hagerstown! It's exciting to see a new, locally-owned family restaurant adding to our city's diversity and flavor. Their hard work, kindness, and unique take on food are truly refreshing. I tried the chicken kebab loaded with all the toppings, and let me tell you--it's beyond delicious! The chicken was fresh juicy and tender ( halal)packed with flavors that you just can't find in your usual fried food or burgers. If you are tired of the same old burgers and fries and want to spend $15-$20 on something delicious and a little less ordinary then I suggest you try Shawarma House. I love the Lamb Shawarma Bowl with a side of Pita Bread and have tried it several times. There is a huge selection of toppings so you can have your bowl a bit different every time. Tonight I also tried the Pakora Plate and most of it never even made it home because I was snaking pieces of it and enjoying the tingling spices on my lips. The staff is friendly and the food is wonderful. Please note, this place is in the back of an Exxon so you aren't going here for ambiance; there are a couple tables but it is primarily take-out.
