Walked in on a Sunday afternoon coz I built up a shawarma craving from being in the area. Not a sole inside but that didn't stop me. I actually really like the bread/wrap they use. Crisped up but not too much. The whole wrap is about a foot long and filled me up QUICK. I wish the garlic sauce/toum was a little more punchy in flavour. I also thought they could have been more generous with the pickles. I'm still trying to figure out who has the best shawarma in Houston...this was decent. No pics as I scarfed this down as soon as I got in my car. read more

Our family is fasting from meat for lent, which limits our options, especially when dining out. We visited Shawarma Land - and let me tell you. This was one of the best mom-and-pop shop experiences we've ever had. We came specifically for the falafel wrap - four of us, we ordered 6 thinking our teens would still be hungry. At $8.99 each, we figured they would be regular sized. Nope. They were HUGE, and loaded with the RIGHT toppings - pickled turnips, Armenian pickles, lettuce, tomato - tahini sauce. We also ordered the Mediterranean salad (yummy), hummus (yummy) and fries ('normal' yummy). The best part - the owner was so kind and offered for us to participate in Iftar. HIGHLY recommend. Whoa I don't know how I didn't find this place sooner. Absolutely amazing shawarma. Tried the chicken and it was very tender and juicy. Chicken shawarma arabi - 9/10 - One of the most flavorful and sauciest shawarmas ive tried. Also crispy, which i loved. Chicken tawooq wrap - 9/10 - So crispy and flavorful. It was a bit greasy tho. I was craving a shawarma for lunch and was hopeful to find a place close to the office. What I didn't realize is that this place would be one that is now my go to when I'm on this side of town! They had all five stars on here so I knew I'd be in for a treat, and I was right! Came in and the place was super clean and had vibrant colors and paintings on the wall. Wasnt sure what i wanted, I always say ill try something new but in this case, i saw the huge chicken and beef spinning on the fire and just knew i had to go with the chicken shawarma! I asked if they could cut mine in half vs how it shows it comes bc I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it and wanted to wrap up the rest for later! As the meal arrived, I could smell just how good it was going to be. My co worker who joined me but wasn't hungry for lunch was contemplating if she should in fact order food for later!! This was one of the best shawarmas I've ever had. It was flavored deliciously and so fresh, and the bread so warm, and every bite had that amazing garlic sauce that drizzled down my hand as I ate more and more! I was in heaven!! The fries have potential, they were seasoned nicely, but I needed them cooked for just about 60-90 seconds for the perfect crunch to have some texture. The meal came with a side of the garlic sauce also, which I drizzled more and more on throughout my meal! Good thing I didn't have any more meetings that day! Anywho, as suspected, I took the other half home so I could have it for later, and I just thought about all these delicious flavors for the rest of the day! First time trying Shawarma Land, and it met my expectations. Didn't exceed it. I tried two Arabi style entrees, one chicken and one sujuk. I preferred the chicken over the sujuk surprisingly. One ding on this meal is that the wrap they use gets really hard and the contents of the bite fall out because the wrap is too rigid. Recommend microwaving if needed. I also tried the chicken shawarma wrap and it was better than the Arabi style. The bread stayed soft and was much more enjoyable. I'd still give the nod to Abu Omar over this spot for the Arabi style. I would also give the nod to Shawarma King over this spot overall. read more

super delicious chicken shawarma Shawarma Land is located in a little store complex. There's some parking in front of it, but most of the time it's full. You can find parking around the store or in nearby lots, though. The store inside is medium sized. Service is nice. We had the chicken shawarma, Sujuk shawarma, beef shawarma, and the original chicken tawooq platter. The chicken shawarma was so delicious! The chicken itself was moist, juicy, and had so much flavor! The wrap had a lot of garlic sauce as well. This was hands down my favorite item. When I'm in the area again, I'm definitely going to order this to go. Sujuk is a type of sausage. Its wrap was flavorful and tasted good, but I don't think I could eat a whole wrap of sausage. If you're a meat-heavy person, this is definitely for you. The beef shawarma wrap's ratio of veggies to sauce to meat was balanced well, and the sauce wasn't too sharp, but the actual meat itself was a little dry and needed more flavor. The chicken from the platter was also juicy and had good amount of flavor. This place's chicken dishes are hitting a solid 5/5! The rice was fluffy, could use a teensy tiny amount of more flavor, but they give a salsa with it that fixes that in no time. Overall, this place has great chicken shawarma and other good items to check out as well read more

Wow! Went there late night, service was awesome, one of the guys there had me try falafel it was hot and delicious too. I got the beef arabi and it was still hot when I got home. Highly annoyed. I arrived here at 10pm on a Friday night. Got to the counter waited about 6-7 min to order to only be told that they have nothing. That could have been said as we walked in the establishment or even as I reached the counter. The additional wait to inform me and my party that there was no food available was slightly irritating. I guess the only problem with it is that some of the food trucks come and go, so if you fall in love with one particular truck or a couple of them, don't expect them to be around forever, because that may not be the case.
