Thin meat scraps instead of tenderloin kabab advertised.

This place is a joke. Total rip off. Sad because it was better a year ago. I ordered the kebab for $10 and got 4 meat scraps; one was burnt. I won't be returning.

Food is sooo delicious in Shawarma. We enjoyed our chicken, rice with almonds, salad, labneh, kibbe, Mediterranean fries and baklava. Freddy and his staff are great! We are thankful that we found this restaurant.

This spot is good for a quick lunch if you are craving Med food and something healthy. Its a casual spot but it has all the right food on the menu. The owner is a decent guy that will treat you right. I recommend

We came here for lunch before a meeting in the area -- my coworkers and I enjoyed some Mediterranean fare. The restaurant itself is a counter service style order with a drink cooler for water, sodas, and desserts. I ordered the shawarma combo with beef and chicken -- the flavor was OK. Portions were a bit meager. Service was non-existent and not very friendly.

Warning - not middle eastren This is the first time in my life to eat shawarma with curry. It As an arab my sElf this was top worst places i been too. I asked for no lettuce as shawarma should have no lettuce. On the other hand it was rapped with the pitta more than the meat. I advised the owner about the curry and she said well we been here for 14 years and we know what we are doing. I said is that way the store is empty lol Dont do it !!

Even after paying, the staff continued to make sure we had water and asked if we needed anything else. This small gesture meant a lot. Sufrat has a great happy hour menu that ends at 6 PM. I tried the Moroccan Mojito, which was so refreshing. To eat, we tried the Shawarma Sushi and $1 chicken wing. The Shawarma Sushi name can be a bit misleading. It a wrap that was cut in form of sushi. It was good. I was hesitant about ordering chicken wings but I'm so glad we did because they were so delicious and crispy. They may have been the best chicken wing I've had. The service was excellent. I accidentally dropped my cocktail and they immediately cleaned it up and moved us to another clean table. I apologized for dropping it but not once did they made me feel bad about it. Instead, one of the staff stated it was an indication of having a great time. They also replaced my drink at no extra cost. A guy, who I assumed was the manager or owner, also passed by our table and ensured we were enjoying our time. Our server mistakenly brought me the wrong drink that I ordered, but I did not mind it because I actually loved the Moroccan Mojito and instead ordered another one. I also loved how they have copper cups because it makes water taste so much better. Their attention to small details like that makes the difference. Overall, I felt so welcomed and definitely have to return for more chicken wings.

We ordered the beef kabobs, which were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the ribeye steak was a major disappointment. We ordered it medium well, but it came out extremely overcooked, dry, and tough, with hard charred pieces on the outside. It was clear that steak is probably not their specialty. That said, we would still recommend this restaurant for the atmosphere, service, and many of the other menu items -- just skip the steaks.

The place is set up to order at the front counter and nice comfortable tablecloth style, theme apropos decorated seating. The food was phenomenal as well. We started with hummus that was served with a nice amount of pita bread. It was rich and creamy and balanced nicely with the olive oil drizzled in the center. During that time, we made the mistake of trying Mortex Mediterranean, and it was an absolute disaster from the moment we walked in. The server was rude, untrained, and clueless -- she couldn't answer basic questions about the food and came back five minutes after dropping off our plates asking if we needed a to‑go box. We hadn't even started eating. My wife's dish and mine were passable, but the $39 wagyu burger for my 10‑year‑old was so bad he couldn't eat it and ended up crying. The fries were beaten up, stale, and tasted like they'd been reheated three times. When I told the waitress, she brushed it off with a useless "okay" and walked away. No apology, no fix, no manager -- nothing. For a city like Coral Gables, this place is an embarrassment. Terrible service, cheap ingredients, premium prices, and zero accountability. Even my son said we should've gone to Shake Shack because at least they respect customers and serve edible food. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's garbage -- poorly trained staff and low‑quality ingredients pretending to be a real dining experience.
