Stumbled upon this place as I was looking for a restaurant open after 9 pm on Sunday night. I was greeted by the friendly server when I walked in. I ordered the chicken rice bowl. It was ready in 5 minutes. It was super delicious, with juicy chicken pieces, fresh veggies and basmati rice. The garlic sauce served with it was top notch.

My daughter and I visited Shawarma Time for an early dinner celebration! Neither one of us had been there before! It was such a wonderful place with incredible food and I was pleasantly surprised at how much room there was! Plenty of seating for everyone, wheelchair accessible, parking right out front if you're lucky enough! Ahziz was such a delight and an incredible cook! As well as the owner, Moh'd! I'm positive all the cooks are amazing! The ambiance was quiet at the time and roomy and the restaurant was clean and brought back wonderful memories of my visits to the Middle East. We will definitely be going back and bringing lots of friends and family in tow!

My review is based solely on a pickup order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter, and I was pleasantly surprised by the rice and salad--they were quite good. However, the chicken was a bit dry for my taste. Overall, it was okay. I would consider going back, but only if I didn't have other options.

We didn't mean to come here but since the place we were going to were closed for the holidays we came here since the reviews were good. After they gave us our plates I said: No wonder the reviews r good. The presentation is awesome; the fries were to die for, the Chicken Shawarma is so good. I recommend it!!! The salad on the Rice Bowl is also amazing, so refreshing. It's very cozy and I will come back again!

It's well priced, good proportions, lots and lots of vegetarian options. I love the falafel platter, falafel wrap, the spinach cheese pie, Zafar bread etc. I go to their UW location a lot for takeouts!! Highly recommend

The falafel are A) fantastic and 2: so small. The chicken tikka kebab was the next best thing and is good. The lamb & beef wrap was just OK. And bringing up the rear was the beef kebab. The pita doesn't really merit rating it by itself but I will say it worked with the falafel and kebab just fine. The falafel reheat well and were still v good the next day. Everything else - save the pita - was noticeably worse.

It really doesn't look like much when you look at Shawarma time, but the food hits the spot. Shawarma time seems to be a small chain which is fine, it's described as "Mediterranean grill serving classic plates. Best shawarma in town, as well as Kebabs, Falafel & Hummus, and Manousheh is the big hit." I haven't tried all of those things, but I can confirm the chicken shawarma, the name that may attract you inside is good. The ordering process was alright, on my particular visit they seemed a bit overwhelmed, but they have table service which was nice. The shawarma is wrapped in Saj bread with pickles, tomatoes and roasted garlic sauce. I think they went a bit too much with the pickles and not enough garlic sauce but there was plenty of chicken and it was well wrapped. If you're looking for quick Mediterranean food, then check out Shwarma Time.

Came here hungry after the Ballard Farmers market and boy was it the right choice. Hefty beef & lamb gyro for under $11 in Ballard is unbeatable. The man who helped me was very kind and food came out in about 5 minutes. If you're in the area stop in for quick, yummy, and affordable Mediterranean food :)

One tip - if you call in or order there, you can order a shawarma plate (different from the bowl), which isn't on their menu online. i am a very picky eater with high standards for middle eastern food and this place was amazing! you would think that you are eating at a cafe in jordan, the food was so authentic and delicious! the fattoush salad was perfection. the chicken wrap was good to the last bite! the kebob and the bakhlava...yum! beyond the food, hospitality of the people working here was so welcome- i felt like i was eating at their home. that was a perfect meal experience from beginning to end! read more

The food here is SO good and presented beautifully. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the place is clean with nice seating. We had the rice bowl with chicken, hummus and pita appetizer, and the baklava. All was perfect. I don't always like the tomato and cucumber salad that typically is served on the side but their version was fresh tasting and not too tangy, so I ate all of it. I'm definitely going to be back. read more

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the food tonight. I had the Chicken Shawarma plate. The flavors of the chicken, rice, and garlic melded perfectly. The flavors of my youth growing up KSA came back to me. My girlfriend said the falafel wrap was the best she's ever had. Beyond that their is one improvement that could be made. The iceberg lettuce salad should be replaced with a beautiful tabouli on the shawarma plate. read more

This was no exaggeration some of the best Indian food I've had in my life. I usually don't leave reviews but the gyro meat was so good that it couldn't go without mention. Everybody who worked there was very nice and the environment was very comfortable. I'm genuinely considering going to school here just so I can eat there all the time. read more

Shawarma Time is my new favorite spot for takeout in Ballard! I've gone here twice now for the Shawarma Time Salad Bowl (with chicken) and the Baba Ghanoush, and I can't recommend it enough. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, and the staff that work there are so nice and welcoming. The chicken shawarma is super flavorful and tender and the Baba Ghanoush is delicious! What I particularly like is how in their salad bowls, they give you a really nice variety of vegetables. Yes, the prices are a little higher than other shawarma places, but they give you a very generous portion, especially with the proteins, and the quality of the food is excellent. Been going to this spot for my lunch breaks every now and then, and boy do they not disappoint! They're very nice and welcoming and serve the food on a wooden board making my experience feel very elegant. You also can't beat the amount of meat they give you. Every place I go to would charge double what they give you. I tipped the cashier a couple dollars and unexpectedly received a free baklava :) overall if you want good gyros and shawarmas come to this spot. Got beef and lamb wrap, meat was flavorless and dry , only meat and a very small amount of tahini in the very end pieces of wrap ,zero evidence of sumac sprinkled, small amount of pickled veggies are on the side , its obvious they are being as cheap and skimpy as possible, fries were good but zero dipping sauce was included for dipping , the wrap looks and tastes suspiciously like a tortilla, overall I would not order from here again read more

If you haven't been, this is your sign to try this place out. I've driven past here so many times and finally went in. Staff were incredibly friendly. Atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Portions are larger than most places. Great prices. My other half and I ordered chicken shawarma fries. Chicken was juicy and tender while the fries were crunchy. Dish had a great amount of sauce. My wife and I love this restaurant. The food is delicious and authentic and the service is super friendly and efficient. We usually order the chicken tikka kebabs which is a ton of food and great value. They are very accommodating about special requests such as substituting salad for rice or their absolutely delicious baba ghanoush instead of hummus. Maybe this restaurant shines more as a dine-in experience, but based on our takeout order, I left pretty disappointed. Between the portion sizes, quality, and overall value, it just didn't live up to the price.

This place is on Market Street, and it's got a cool vibe with traditional Arabic decor. They've got great seating options too. The staff is super friendly and they even cook the food right in front of you. The presentation is amazing, and the taste is delicious. Plus, the prices are pretty reasonable.
