I normally don't post reviews, but god was the food so good especially for the price. I got a Gyro rice bowl with a side hummus and it was delicious. They were fast and helpful when I asked them about different options. Definitely will be back again soon for those bites. read more

I was pretty excited to try this place as I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean & Middle Eastern food. Upon walking in it was dead, though I was getting a late lunch/early dinner around 4pm. The man who filled my bowl for me didn't seem like he knew quite what he was doing. I ordered the beef kebab which they cooked fresh for me so there was a 5 mins extra wait. I took my food to go & only taking maybe 10 mins to get home my food was stone cold. Fairly confident the rice was never warm to begin with. I had to microwave it. They put way too much sauce on everything & I mean huge dollops which wound up being unpleasant. Real shame. Probably won't be coming back. read more

Not impressed. Saw a few foodies hype it up online. But it's really basic. Pita was hardly warm and the fries sit for a long time. The fries were in a pan on the bar with all the toppings and they refill as needed. Never been to a place that serves fries like that and then they weren't even seasoned. Chicken was ok. Garlic sauce good. I think the cold pita made it taste worse. The guy said he warmed it but it seriously wasnt warm. Overall disappointed. read more

Excited to have a good Mediterranean place on campus! Been twice, got the chicken shawarma both times and it was absolutely delicious. The garlic and tzatziki sauces were wonderful. Fantastic halal and vegetarian friendly spot to grab food on campus! I'm so happy this place was recommended to me by a friend because I usually don't go anywhere near campus to eat- I can eat a disappointing Wendy's meal anywhere ha ha- so this was a surprise to find tucked right across the street from the university! I've tried their bowls and rolls and both are great. I recommend getting the garlic sauce and if you're feeling fancy, a side of French fries. I don't really dine in because it does get loud and busy at night when classes are in session. Service is good but sometimes you need to wait for a while. read more

This food is amazing! It's "build your own" styled, my favorite is the bowl, which I get half rice, half salad, a meat, and as many toppings and sauces as you want! It's quick and very affordable at only $7 - $8 for a large portion and fresh ingredients. I recommend the chicken shawarma, and the garlic sauce is a great finishing sauce. Shawerma Bite is a build-your-bowl concept. New to the market, I just so happened to get a BOGO for that day, I love Mediterranean food, chaching! I was able to pick between a pita sandwich, and salad or a rice bowl. I composed my salad-based bowl of some of their rice (which was very tasty!), plenty of the veggie toppings, and gyro meat AND chicken for my proteins. I was jazzed for the chickpeas; loooooved the creamy corn salad, and Shawerma's hummus was down right fantastic! I thought the price was well represented. I'm not on campus very much (ok, hardly ever), but if I lived closer, I'm sure this fast-casual stop would be higher on my Return To list (basically, the annoying/sometimes lack of parking on campus is the main drawback. read more

Do not let those five star reviews fool you. I was pretty excited to try this place when I saw it. I think It's great when non-corporate chains open up near the university. Unfortunately, after trying Shawerma Bite, I can confidently say I will not return. The place was completely dead when I walked in and there were about five employees just standing around and chatting. The guy at the register was eating something out of a bag and playing on his phone. After I placed my order, I approached him and asked if I should pay now and he goes "oh, I guess". Alright...don't mind me! Just a paying customer here! Go back to playing on your phone! There's an "express" menu which is cheaper than the "protein" menu. Apparently, "express" means you get the traditional style. How is anyone supposed to know what that means? I waited over 10 minutes for my order while I watched others behind me get their orders prepared right away. I even told the guy preparing the order I did not want pickles. I told him twice and what does he put on my pita? Yep! Pickles!! At least he realized what he did before wrapping up the sandwich. Anyway, it tasted very mediocre and basic. Honestly, if you want a gyro or any other Mediterranean food there's plenty of other good places nearby. Elia's grill on 11th Ave across from Barnes n Nobles is great! And their portions are huge. Right by the south entrance at Target. Been there 3 times in the past couple days. The menu consists of 4 Greek dishes, that you can either customize or express (their style), sides, and drinks . First time around I got the beef kabob and gyro both express. The beef kabob is awesome and tastes so fresh and so good and has some good sauce in it. The gyro was pretty good either too much meat or not enough veggies sauce, will try it again though. Fries are also very crispy and good. For sure check this place out for some quick and easy Greek food. read more
