Also their number is +1 (503) 287-5715 if ur having trouble Not only did they repair everything in a timely fashion, they accommodated additional repairs upon request while the vehicle was being serviced (I'm sure this is dependent on mechanic availability). They are also REASONABLY PRICED (I do repairs on my own car regularly and was pleasantly surprised). Their customer service is phenomenal, the pricing extremely transparent, and Eduardo walked me through different options to help me decide whether to buy my CV Axel with them or elsewhere and just pay them for labor. I bought the CV Axel myself, but to have them replace the right inner and outer tire rod ends + get a brake fluid exchange + CV Axel replacement, I paid $534. The first place I went tried to charge me $1.2k this place is a god send thank you Eduardo! I was worried abt not being able to drive to and from work and school, and they really delivered. I was so completely screwed by Kevin at Repair Right, I don't even know where to start. Please go…read moresomewhere else if you have the choice. I brought my new Mazda CX7 to Repair Right for an alignment, new tire installation/balancing and an oil change. When I picked up the car Richard explained to me that everything went well, but he couldn't figure out how to turn off the tire-pressure indicator light on the dashboard. His advice was to read the manual. This should have been my first clue that something was off. One day later I realized the steering wheel was shuddering hard above 60 MPH and I could not make the tire pressure indicator light go off after following the instructions. I brought the car in that week for a re-examination, this is when I met Kevin (the owner). He came on a ride with me but could not feel the shudder and told me not to worry, he's been doing this over twenty years and everything was fine. Then he mentioned that he was not really sure what work was done on the car because they had taken it to Les Schwab for the alignment and tire install. WTF? I brought the car to these guys to support the local guy and they took it Les Schwab? On a Friday I brought the car to the Milwaukie dealership for an inspection. Things started to get really interesting. The dealer found 3 main problems. 1. Someone lost, or never reinstalled the tire pressure sensor for one of the tires. This is the reason why the indicator light was on. 2. The tires had never been balanced. Zero balancing weights. This was causing the shudder in the steering wheel. 3. The alignment was way off. This also causes a shudder. After fixing the problems at the dealership all is well with the car. However, problems with Kevin at Repair Right are not. I contacted Kevin after the dealer repairs and explained to him that I needed a refund for the work I contracted them to do and they failed to complete (alignment and tire balancing) I also asked for him to refund the $88 for new tire pressure sensor. After 2 months and 5 phone calls I received a check from Kevin for $40 and a copy of his receipt from Les Schwab. Obviously this was lower than I expected. I called Kevin that day and explained to him my disappointment. I explained that I don't give a flying fuck what Les Schwab refunded him, I didn't take my car to Les Schwab, I took it to him at Repair Right. I was upset at this point and I did raise my voice when I told him that it was his responsibility to make this right. At this point in the conversation he said, "You know what; I want you to come down here right now so I can beat the piss out of you, because you're a whiner." Seriously...he threatened to beat me up!!! Well, if you call someone who dislikes getting fucked by mechanics a whiner, then I guess I'm your guy. Needless to say I won't be returning to Repair Right and they should receive a small claims notice from the court soon. If you live in Southeast Portland, especially near Reed College, please pass this on.

The prices…read morehave been very fair, they often tell us what needs to be done vs. what can wait to be done later vs. what does not need to be done. They've been helpful in doing a little extra for us to allow us to pick the car up according to work schedules, etc. If you are in a rush to get out of there, you need to tell them because they'll both chat your ear off, but we have nothing but good things to say about Repair Right.

The AAA guy had looked under my car and noticed the serpentine belt was hanging. Upon arriving the AAA driver politely let know the owner, Hiep, know about the serpentine belt hanging. Hiep barely acknowledged him and looked away. I was shocked that he didn't say thank you and smile, and I had a bad feeling about Hiep right then. The AAA driver looked at me and said, Good luck! I left the car overnight and called the next morning and he told me I needed my new serpentine belt, water pump, and all of the things that go along with that. The price was $783. I had also asked him to check my air conditioning that didn't work and approved for him to pour Freon in. He told me that air conditioning was fine when I knew it wasn't because it hasn't worked for 2 years! When I picked the car up, he acknowledged the air conditioning doesn't work which I obviously knew, and it would cost $850 for him to fix it. He showed me where it was leaking from the compressor and said it needed a new compressor which I would do at another time. I picked the car up and ran a few errands and quickly noticed there was a funny sound coming from under the hood. I took the car back to heap a couple of hours later and asked him to please check it. He blatantly refused to check it and said the engine sounded fine to him. I told him I know what my car sounds like and that there is a noise that wasn't there before. We went back and forth about this and he refused to take my car and check it out. He walked away from me. I'm absolutely livid and at a loss right now. I don't have the money to have someone else double check his work at this time. The only recourse I have is to put this on Yelp and maybe the Better Business Bureau. Shame on him for not even checking my car out. I had a friend drive it with me and he noticed the noise as well. I don't advise this shop. I told him I'd heard good things about him so you would think he would want to make me happy to ensure I'd be a return customer. It would have been nice because he is not far from where I live. I'm watching my car closely and will have to wait until I can have it checked out by another shop. Stay away from this shop.

One example: my van was having some finicky door issues and the dealership said I should pay $1500 to fix something electronic on it. I took it to him and he was very confident that a light was getting switched on and I should not try and do any expensive repairs and watch that my kids weren't turning on their overhead lights. This ended up being the case (so user error but he didn't try and do an unnecessary "repair". He also then replaced my brake pads for half the price the dealership quoted. Reasonable, professional, timely and just all around great!

I went back the same week to complain why a certain light was giving me a warning signal, he suggested I get my 60,000 maintenance on my car since it is getting close, and it wasn't even TIME. That same week, I also got a recall on my car, (symptoms are the same as why I went back to complain to him after he did an oil change) and if I took it back to the dealer they will fix it for free. Honesty, is the best policy! Either that, or they're just pretending they know about why the light on my car was giving me a 'warning' signal. But trying to trust them, and paying for maintenance my car didn't need - yet - is not being truthful to the customer. How can I trust them and go back after that?

They stayed late to finish my car at Al's, when arriving he informed me they did the first two major things, oil leak, serpentine belt and filled the tires for the same price!! Will be going back. We were all astounded by their caring about our situation and the car is running better than it ever has! My clutch went out last week. I have been using a chain auto repair service for many years and they gave me a quote. Thought I would call car code to ask them. They gave me a quote of $350 less for the same work. I brought it to them. They did the work and in doing so, found that the oil was leaking and needed a gasket. They put a new gasket on and did not charge me for it! He said that particular job alone was $700 and I would need the work done sooner than later. So they also saved me $700! Again, the integrity and care that they put into their business is above and beyond what I have ever experienced in all my years of needing car repairs. They are absolutely the best!
