the owner George invited me into the restaurant for an amazing meal. I had surf and turf and shared tuna with a grilled octopus appetizer. The music was very entertaining and easy to dance to my waitress was amazing.

My youngest Child's Birthday Celebration and she chose Chicago Prime Steakhouse to enjoy and enjoy we did! Staff is always providing their "A Game". The ambiance is of any high end quality focused Establishment and they deliver. Hector was our Guide and was quite entertaining. Always enjoy our time at Chicago Prime Steakhouse, Chicago Prime Italian or Avante's Banquets & Convention Center. Smacznego, Mangia & Ciao! Cheers Andy John!

This was a fantastic dining experience. A friend of mine is part of their "Millionaire's Club", where they match what you put on your card. I think it starts at $50/month, which means $100/month ends up on your card. It rolls over when you don't use it, so he had about $400 on the card when the four of us went. The restaurant is beautiful and classic. They have lounge singers that come on certain nights but we didn't get a chance to see a performance when we were there. I would definitely come back to sip a cocktail in the bar area, order some appetizers, and see live music. This place has the right vibe for that. As far as food, we sampled a decent amount of the menu. We started with octopus, Blue Point raw oysters, and oysters Rockefeller. All of the appetizers were delicious, especially the grilled octopus, which had just the right amount of char and a tasty sauce. For dinner, we had prime rib, steak and cake (filet mignon w/crab cake), and a rib dinner with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus as side items. Everything was perfectly done. The au poivre sauce I added to the filet mignon was delicious and well balanced. The crab cake was crisp on the outside and mainly crab meat rather than bread, which was impressive. The mushroom soup was full of fresh mushrooms and well executed. The garlic mashed potatoes had roasted cloves in them. I don't even like mashed potatoes, and seriously, they were good. For dessert, we had cherries jubilee, which comes on fire (brandy, is the alcohol they use, I believe). It's a fun dessert for the table. The ice cream, sauce, and cherries satisfy a sweets craving without being over the top sugary. For drinks, the table ordered beer, red wine (zinfindel), and Manhattans. Drinks were good, I really enjoyed the wine with the meal. Unfortunately, a lot of their wines are sold by the bottle, so it will limit your selection if you're the only one at the table drinking wine, like I was. Service was very attentive but never pushy, as you would expect in this kind of establishment. This is definitely a great find in the area.

One of my favorite steakhouses. Lots of halal creekstone options. I love the filet and adding different topings. The saganaki and shrimp is a good app. The service is alwags good. The lights are dim for a good ambiance.

It was my first time at Chicago Prime. And over all it was a lovely experience. The restaurant is all decked ouout in Christmas decor, which is absolutely beautiful. Just for that I would recommend you visit this holiday season. Our server was very nice and the other staff (buss man,and food runners were so friendly, There was a retired seater. Who is charming, and full of fun stories. Now the Menu is full of all tasteful goodies. Including a nice cocktail menu. Our service was steady. And give us time to catch up with our friends. I had the special soup. Chicken and rice. Very good. I could have eaten a second cup. I love lamb chops. So that's what I chose. The chops were a rack of lamb cut into small chops. 5 I believe. I order them Med Rare. Sadly they were cooked closer to medium. Two of us ordered the garlic mash. The mash was just warm. Now normally I would say something. But I knew I wanted to take my food home. So I left it alone. I will always give a restaurant a second chance. But this restaurant is high end. So it will be awhile before I could afford to return.

We arrived a couple minutes before our reserved time, and were promptly seated - our waitress was great- attentive, timely, and just on point. Bread came out- while not too warm (and it cooled very quickly), it hit the spot. I got a glass of cabernet sauvignon while hubby had a mocktail. Our starter was a shrimp cocktail- always hits the spot. While not "quite" as jumbo or crisp as I'd like, it was fresh and tasty. I ordered the artichoke, potato, and leek soup- loved it! Hubby ordered their signature pork chop and oh my god- that thing was huge! No joke- it was humongous! The taste was mildly reminiscent of a Honeybaked Ham, but it was OH so tender and juicy! I had a koji-aged filet mignon, cooked perfectly at a medium- and I was amazed with the flavor- absolutely spot on! I'd ordered it Oscar Style (lump crab and asparagus) but on the side. We ordered, as well, au gratin potatoes for our side. Now, frankly, I gotta tell you- my eyes are now MUCH bigger than my tummy! We ended up bringing a good portion of the dinner home as it was way too much food. BUT what a great dinner we'll have today with the leftovers, right? Would we return? In a heartbeat. But I would ask for a window table- not keen on being right next to a server station and a busy walking area.

We made a reservation because I'd heard this place can get pretty busy. Although it didn't seem too crowded when we first arrived on a Saturday, it filled up quickly throughout our meal. I definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you're planning to come for dinner. As soon as we walked in, I was struck by how beautiful the restaurant is. Since the building was once a church, they preserved the stained-glass windows and cathedral ceilings, which give the space so much character. We ended up sitting on the patio because it was a gorgeous day, but I definitely want to come back and dine inside so I can fully appreciate the interior. The patio was modern, spacious, and completely shaded, making it very comfortable. Since it's located right next to the little lake, we also enjoyed a nice breeze throughout our meal. Our waitress was friendly and attentive overall, but there was one moment that stood out. My friend's baby accidentally knocked over a full glass of iced coffee, spilling it all over my friend's lap and onto the floor. The waitress watched as my friend cleaned up the mess herself but didn't offer to help or replace the spilled drink. Aside from that, the service was good. My friends and I all ordered something different, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the salmon poke bowl ($19), which was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly refreshing. The ingredients tasted high quality, and all the flavors worked really well together. It was more filling than I was expecting! Price-wise, I expected the menu to be more expensive than it actually was. I'm sure dinner prices are higher, especially for steak and seafood, but the brunch menu was quite reasonable. Most breakfast and brunch dishes range from $12-$20, making it a great value for both the quality of the food and the beautiful atmosphere. Overall, we all enjoyed our experience and I'll for sure be back! I'd love to try other menu items and come for dinner, too!

It's not intrusive, but we were sat outside. I can imagine it might have been hard to carry conversation in the very full and busy dining room. We both started with a mocktail, the fly boy, which was very fresh and delicious. My husband had the 20 oz rib eye which was slightly over done, but still seasoned well. I had the bone-in pork chop with fingerling potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts which was delightful. Dessert consisted of the banana sticky toffee pudding and the strawberry chocolate cake and a decaf cappuccino. All were awesome. Our server (Lindsey?) was l friendly and attentive, while not being overbearing. Foxtail has definitely become a favorite restaurant of ours.
