There is plenty of parking but it does get busy at times so we like to go earlier in the day. Lots of covered pavilion areas with picnic tables that you can use if they aren't reserved; and of course the amazing trail/park that stretches for miles. There is a lake as well and you can catch people fishing , kayaking etc. I've found the park to be clean and well maintained each time we go. In the summer, they open up the splash pad which has been recently upgraded and it's awesome. For sure one of my favorite park areas in the Cedar Park/Austin area. Definitely check this one out.

My nephew was extremely excited!!I noticed that everything was thoroughly thought out. The entrance gate is slightly heavy (two to pass through. Other area were the same (heavy gates to prevent kids from entering the paved areas without permission & help. There were several areas to play: sensory areas, sand box (large), agility, strength training for the littles, and a cute township area where kids can ride (provided mini bikes) bikes or scooters in the "city". The imagination stations were adorable. Most areas were covered well. They had several restrooms and water stations. Seating for birthdays and such. I didn't have time to take pictures. But it's true to the website. I highly recommend it!

There is a fence completely surrounding the park and there is a gate to go in and out of which has the handles high enough that a child could not open that gate. There was a lot of thought put into this park. They have wonderful learning areas such as they have an area all about music; This was definitely a favorite place. There are chimes to sound and drums to play, The children really enjoyed this area. They had a zip line made for children. My four-year-old granddaughter was enjoying it and after her, some 13-year-olds were enjoying it. It's very well-made, very safe and very fun. They have a shopping area for them to pretend -- along with their own personal H-E-B! My granddaughter really enjoyed pretending to shop. I think that's a secret word here, there's a lot of pretending going on here! I highly recommend this park. It's important to know that animals are not allowed unless it's a service animal. There's a lot of kids running and yelling and playing and laughing. This is not the place for you if you're going to a park to read a book. This is definitely a great place for children or for parents to play with their children. I highly recommend you visit.

I come here for a variety of activities the best part is that they have a batting cage for you to use. I see families over at the playground all of the time there are walking trails right behind the park I even have rode along the trails behind the park also. It does get a little crowded when baseball season is active but generally things are pretty vacant and well-kept. Another great perk is that there are bathrooms on either end of the park.

Unsafe at the moment…read more There have been reports recently that I have heard of men hiding in the bathrooms, including the women's bathrooms. One recent report was that 3 men came out of the bathroom and was headed toward someone's daughter. Another mom called the police recently because men were recording the children at the splash pad, but they didn't have any kids of their own. The bathroom by the playground and splash pad has two directions you can exit.. to the left towards the splash pad or toward the right towards the side wooded area. Please don't let your children go in there alone and always check the bathroom first. Lakewood park, please hire security and heavily monitor the children's area.

The lake itself is super peaceful--I highly recommend renting a kayak or bringing a paddleboard out on a weekend morning. If you've got kids, the playground and splash pad are fantastic, especially when it's blazing hot outside. There are also plenty of shady spots and picnic tables by the water to just hang out and feed the ducks. Just a heads up, parking can be a nightmare on Saturdays when the weather is nice, so try to get here before 9 AM if you can. Otherwise, it's a super clean, well-maintained park that never really gets old. Definitely worth checking out.

You can also walk on the unpaved trail along the water (it's very smooth and stroller-friendly). There is a playground. It's split into two areas for different ages. It's great in theory but I found it a bit lacking. There's a rudimentary playground that's labeled as 2-5. And a crunk playground (3-tiered, with gnarly slides) labeled as 5-12. Don't get me wrong -- this big playground is awesome for older kids. But it's a bit too advanced/scary for a 3-year-old. Meanwhile, the little playground was too simple/easy for her. So there's a middle age that isn't really catered to. But, great for 2-year-olds and 5+. There are also multiple parks with playgrounds within a short driving distance (Champion, Olson Meadows) so you can easily park hop.

We came here for my godson's 5th birthday party, and we just did the roller skating and food options, and brought our own cake to celebrate. Since we came in the morning, we had bagels, fruit, sliders, cookies, and brownies. They also had coffee available, as well as a cold water dispenser. The staff was great about getting everyone fitted with skates or rollerblades and out onto the floor. They even have skate mates available for those still getting the hang of skating, which really helps the kids keep their balance. The roller rink area is quite large, with entry and exit points located all around. There's even a kid-friendly, beginner-level area at the back of the rink so little ones have space to learn. I felt the floor was in good condition, and the rental skates were great too! I'm a pretty good skater myself, and I had so much fun skating with the kids and the other parents who joined in too. My dad and mum take me here when we are in town and this is my favorite place to run around. Even though I'm just a pup, the grownup doggies teach me new things like how to play chase, sniff and aimlessly run around. I haven't totally braved the water park just yet, but watching the retrievers jump in and fetch has started to build my interest. I did get in the pool up to my chest and got dirty enough to need a bath, but not fully committed to jump in yet. I think if I play it wisely, I'll milk it for all it's worth and probably will get a few more trips in before I take the plunge. Luckily, the park has multiple wash stations on the way in/out, so my humans can clean me up nicely before our ride home. Not my favorite thing to do, but since it's a doggie dog world, I have to live by their rules. Now that I'm 7 months old and weigh 30 pounds, I can play in the large dog area which is much more fun for me. When I was under 30 pounds, I used the small dog area which is overall a bit smaller in size, and the grass is a bit "ruff", so not as much fun. Also too many yapping pups there for my taste. So if you have the zoomies and are in the area, come by and say hi, or come play with me as I'm looking for new friends all the time. I'll be the black /white pup with the one blue eye, the Australian accent and hanging out next to the pool.

As a private park it is very clean and well looked after with the paths looking fresh and the overall aesthetic of the park looking much more groomed than many other trails in Austin. The trail itself is pretty easy to walk through and there are no difficult areas to get by. Lining the trail are different areas to do workouts which is nice to see and there are also sporting areas at the community center as well. The foliage looked great and the rest of the open areas seemed well put together. This is definitely a fantastic park to walk through with family, friends, or dogs if you're in the area.
