I'm a huge fan of this place. I've been here a few times and I've always had a great experience. I love ordering their chicken kabob and their chicken shawarma. The side dishes I typically order include the grilled vegetables and chickpeas. Yum! I've also enjoyed their spinach and their fries. Everything is very flavorful and the chicken is very moist, never dry! They are also very generous with their portion size so we never leave feeling hungry. We've also tried their drinks and they are worth trying. They are so good. I love that this is a fast casual type of restaurant and so it's easy to come in and get out. Downfall coming to a place after the hype.. Sheesh is a very clean spot. It's very modern and not the typical Mediterranean place. They have a build your own platter for a decent price which is a nice option. A lot of the reviews are from the Yelp Elite event which is great. However, my review is based on no preparation (event) and how the actual restaurant would run. Service: The front staff was okay. I mean she greeted us and took our order but didn't care to see if we were new or help us. Food: Came out super fast, way TOO fast. We ended up getting dry lamb and beef and UNDER COOKED CHICKEN! (THAT IS A NO!) -- we got to our office 15 minutes away and realized this.. We call them and they advised we would get the same platter but cooked. 30 minutes later I walked in.. As soon as I walked in, the girl from the front just hands me a to go bag and says HERE. I politely give her the back of the uncooked chicken back she goes "Trash It".. I had no words... The manager comes up to me and asked what was wrong. I looked at the new food and the side was wrong. He goes, it's okay keep it. I was like no.. that's not what I ordered. He then asked to see the food. I tell him it's in the trash go look. I show him the raw food and he looks taken back. I mean its ridiculous... raw chicken! He didn't offer any money back in return. It was a complete loss to us since we have to come back for the food and it was completely out the way. The only positive is the rice, spinach, and salmon was good. Everything else was mediocre at best. We got 3 vegetables.. the portion wasn't very pleasing and the whole experience was frustrating! Honestly, Kabob House is still better than this spot. Stopped by for lunch today and had a beef kubideh with chickpeas and spinach. The kubideh was juicy and had great flavor. One of the best I've ever had. Definitely left me want more and looking forward to going back. The green sauce had a nice kick to it. The white sauce balances it out and also goes well with the spinach. Liked that everything tasted great but wasn't covered in grease so I ended lunch feeling full and content. For the inside of the restaurant they've done a great job building out the space. I really liked the wood tables, seats, etc. It felt very inviting and had plenty of space for lunch or dinner with family and/or friends. The wait time for food was reasonable and I'm sure will continue to improve the longer they're open. I like the number system but found it a little hard to hear and never heard my number called. That would be the only area that could use some improvement. Possibly write the numbers on the bags in black marker for to go in addition to calling out the numbers to make it easier. As a kabob fanatic I make sure to try every good kabob restaurant I hear about or come across. Sheesh is also near where I am staying on my trip to the US so it was a no brainer to try. First off, the space is very clean and modern. The workers are polite and accommodating. The food options/variety is super convenient as you can build your own platter. I'm a big chicken fan so I had the chicken shawarma sheesh loaded fries and also chicken breast with rice, chopped salad and fries and it was amazing! The meat was super fresh and juicy unlike other restaurants I have tried where they tend to be on the drier side. The hummus and pita chips were also a very good snack. 5 stars for the large portions but this was only when you order the build your own with rice and the two sides options (i was able to save it for 2 meals) My go-to in a kabob place is usually the chicken kabobs and rice (and stewed or sauteed okra if they have it!) Here I have tried the chicken and salmon kabobs. For the sides I've ordered the salad, roasted vegetables, french fries, chick peas and spinach - my favorite sides here compared to other kabob places is the salad and the roasted vegetables! The stewed spinach was salty which I don't mind but I can see if others think so. It was my first time trying the salmon - i didn't have high expectations but I was pleasantly impressed and inhaled it all under 10 minutes when I got home! Visited Sheesh Grill yesterday with my family and we were thoroughly impressed with the food and hospitality. This family-run modern decor Afghan Restaurant is what we needed in Chantilly. We ordered Chicken Kabob salad with fries, Chicken shawarma wrap and humus. Everything was perfect. When the owner Sam saw we had no rice at our table, meaning we didn't order any, he brought us a sizable amount of perfect Basmati rice and chickpeas curry to go with it. As a foodie, you know a place is good when the owner is attentive to the customers and treat you as guests and not just customers. Tahmina, from the same family was equally welcoming. Their grand opening is on Sunday the 19th of May and my kids can't wait to go back. This place is by far the best place in the area and they deserve a 5 start rating compared to others in Chantilly and Centreville. First, the restaurant is clean with an open kitchen. The place in Centreville (I won't attempt to discredit anyone by name) has their kitchen behind a curtain. You don't know if the staff back there are wearing masks or how the food is being prepared. At Sheesh Grill, it is wide open. Second, the staff are always friendly as in greeting with a smile and making your experience pleasant from the start. They deserve a raise! This was one of those days where we were deciding where to grab a quick bite and I see Sheesh Grill on Yelp...I didn't pay too much attention to it at first and kept browsing and finally was like "alright let's check out the menu." Forget the menu, the moment we saw the photo of the loaded fries we just had to try it. Sure enough it didn't disappoint, the ingredients were fresh, the meat moist and very tasty and best part for $8 it was very filling. Yes, we too were able to take advantage of the Elite event here last week. We arrived around lunchtime on a Sunday with not many people in the restaurant. We walked right up to the cash register and ordered 2 gyro platters, one with salad and fries, one with spinach and chick peas. We were told it was going to be about 10 minutes for our food. I guess that's acceptable since it would be nice and fresh when we got it. I saw the food sitting ready to be served for at least 5 minutes before the manager grabbed it to be taken, no big deal. Yes, as others have said the portions are quite large. Yes, I agree that either the salad needs to be of a different lettuce variety or in a different dish to not get wilted from the heat of the other food. The lamb was very good, on the verge of being too salty. I was told the spinach and chick peas were also very good. The rice didn't have seasoning, but not being a fan of rice, I thought it was good. I think we will likely return if in the area to try some of the other meats/options. read more

AH-mazing!!!! All of the meat was cooked well and so flavorful. I loved the gyro meat, had both inner juicy pieces and outer crunchy ones. Chickpeas were insanely good, best side. Love the whipped feta, very mild which was a great compliment to the very bold flavors of the meat. Chips were crunchy as they should be. The garlic sauce was to die for, I covered everything in it! Green is great if you like a bit more spice. Best of all owner Sam came to check on us as we wrapped up. Very professional and smart businessman, was more concerned with giving a great experience and gaining long term customers than just getting tons of people in the door. I LOVE THE FOOD HERE!! I've probably ordered 10x from here. When it's good, it is so dang good. My favorite dish is the beef/lab gyro plate with half salad, half rice, grilled veggies, and spinach on the side. But I think what truly makes it great, are the sauces. They have 3 sauces, which I am obsessed with. But why am I giving only 4 stars? Questionable service and inconsistency. Expect customer service as you would from a fast food joint. Ordering online is easy, but the earliest you can pickup around lunchtime is 11:45 or Noon. I've also paid extra for "tahini sauce" but did not get it. I figured maybe I got the name wrong? So the next time I was there I made sure to ask for the "yellow sauce," only for the cashier to look at me like I was crazy. He did ultimately give me the sauce, but said they don't normally give it out (weird because I've gotten it several times before). Finally, the good levels consistency. The gyro is amazing 8 times out of 10. The other 2 times, expect for it to be dry and tasteless. Finally, I would not call this food authentic. But I just gotta say-- it's damn good.
