    Chicken Shawarma

Great price, decent sized Shawarmas, a little off ratio with the fries and protein though. I wished there were just a bit more fries and pickles. There was a lottttt of sauce, quite overpowering. However being located on/near the college campus, I feel it could still be a hit. Especially on late nights. It's the only food joint that I saw in the area. No seating strictly for them since it's a food truck but there are nearby areas you could sit. Parking nearby, not sure how strictly enforced it is though as it's again, on/near campus.. The service was a little slow in my opinion while they did not seem busy. Not sure that I'd return but it was worth the try!

Snagged a beef shawarma combo on my way to my hotel and it was great. The food got a little messed up on the way, but that's on me! The veggies in the shawarma were super fresh and crisp, and the beef was very tender and flavorful. The fries were so good especially with their sauce. Perfectly crisp with great seasoning. The price is good too! I'd definitely be here all of the time if I lived in the area.

The fries by itself were mid and needed seasoning, but with the sauce is good. The chicken shawarma was delicious for the first couple bites but quickly became boring. Needed some other components to round it out.

Came here during the week after reading reviews. There were several people waiting when we showed up. We ordered a beef shawarma and waited about 5-10 minutes. There were picnic tables nearby for us to sit and eat. The shawarma was well seasoned, not super salty or bland and very tasty. A good snack. While for $11 I would like to be full...this was just so tasty. The seesh sauce and pickles is what took it to the next level. I would return...maybe order a side next time, but wish there was more than just fries. Overall 4.5

Sheesh is AMAZING. The students & faculty at PSU are lucky to have such a fantastic shawarma spot on their campus. The sauce that they serve with the chicken & fries is also next level. Once you eat here you will understand why it's called Sheesh because it will make you say "Sheesh, this is so damn good."

Date: 1 August, 2025 Item Ordered: Chicken Shawrma Price: $9.99 Amount: It was more than enough for one person. Taste: So good! Loved it. * They have spicy or no spicy option. I took the spicy one. * It was ready within 5-7 minutes. * Best part: A Surah was being played on the audio player. Reminded me of the food carts of my country.

Coming from the middle east (Palestine, Jordan, Syria, and Kuwait) 35 years ago and where SHAWARMA and FALAFEL are almost daily meals and had tried different places in the Portland area. Sheesh Shawarma is my # 1 choice as it brings back memories and that distinctive taste I experienced back home. Friendly and courteous service, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. I recommend the FALAFEL Bites with TAHINI sauce (Amazing)

OK, let me start by saying I do not like falafel or so I thought, well that's not the case any longer. I usually don't like falafel because it's really dry and just blah, that's so not the case here it's moist and flavorful, let's say delicious, and let me tell you about the key. It is phenomenal. I want a huge container to take to Arizona with me..SOOOO GOOD! Tzatziki and sausages were all delicious. The chicken is a nice chicken breast. The beef was delicious. The service was fabulous next time in Portland. We will have to come back. It's worth the trip..

First things first they are open late so that's always a plus, they have a great selection of meats even for vegetarian people as well so another check, and lastly there workers in particular yonas was very respectful and made sure our order was 100% the way we wanted it!!

Location is a bit hard to find, it's on campus and very limited parking. Family operated, great people! Service was fast and everyone was friendly. Beef shawarma wrap: 5/5, meat was tender and flavorful. Wrap was slightly toasted to where it was warm and fluffy. Must try! Lots of outdoor seating.

So good, I wish I didn't have to share today

This kind of consideration is something I've noticed across Portland, and it's a big part of why I love visiting. Food-wise, we had some real standouts. The roasted carrots were deeply flavorful, the curried black lentil salad had that perfect balance of hearty and bright, and the tahini ice cream was one of those desserts you keep thinking about after the trip ends. Also, do not skip the beer with a slushy float. It sounds chaotic, but somehow it works. Fun, refreshing, a little unexpected. Come hungry, especially if you're dining with mixed dietary needs. Standout dishes: Hummus & Spicy Lamb Merguez Gravlax Lamb Carnitas Street parking wasn't too bad, which is always a win in SE. Honestly, I'd come back for the atmosphere as much as the food. Couldn't recommend it more. Go. No need to thank me later.

The hummus tasted incredibly fresh, the tzatziki had a nice tangy kick, and the falafel balls were perfectly crispy and flavorful. My husband & I, my sister and my son all went for lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't quite what I was expecting but we were all pleasantly surprised. Everybody but me got the spiced lamb souvlai, which was ground meat on a skewer. I tried the oregano chicken. Mine was tender, flavorful grilled chicken. I loved it! I have always thought of souvlaki as a Greek version of a gyro-meat in a pita wrap with sauce & veggies. Not here. You get the meat and a pickled vegetable and that's it. That's why you need some sides and bread. The bread is better than a lot of pita I've had. We also got an order of hummas (some of the best I've had anywhere. Maybe it's because they put a dab of zhoug-a mixture of herbs & spices packed with flavor. It was as smooth as silk), as well as beet salad. It had quinoa that seemed to have been fried because it had a slight crunch which I loved. It was the perfect foil for the golden beets and radish in the salad. We ordered just the right amount of food for the 4 of us (one piece of pita each, one salad, one hummus and an order each of souvlaki). I noticed some vegetarian options on the menu as well. We all agreed we want to come back and bring the spouses who couldn't make it. Looks like I forgot to take pics of the meat. You'll just have to be surprised!
