The staff were really nice! It was quite cold out so they gave customers some complimentary hot chai while we waited. It did seem like a busy day for them as the order took long, but the staff were really nice and apologetic. This is located in the back of PSU, near the field. There is street parking around the corner - the parking lot is for PSU use. The food was average for me. The beef had a good char and the sauce added some great flavor. I did feel like the beef and plate itself ate slightly sweet for me. Maybe it was sumac? I liked the onion slices, but feel like the side of pickled vegetables added too much to the plate for me. read more

Great price, decent sized Shawarmas, a little off ratio with the fries and protein though. I wished there were just a bit more fries and pickles. There was a lottttt of sauce, quite overpowering. However being located on/near the college campus, I feel it could still be a hit. Especially on late nights. It's the only food joint that I saw in the area. No seating strictly for them since it's a food truck but there are nearby areas you could sit. Parking nearby, not sure how strictly enforced it is though as it's again, on/near campus.. The service was a little slow in my opinion while they did not seem busy. Not sure that I'd return but it was worth the try! read more

Snagged a beef shawarma combo on my way to my hotel and it was great. The food got a little messed up on the way, but that's on me! The veggies in the shawarma were super fresh and crisp, and the beef was very tender and flavorful. The fries were so good especially with their sauce. Perfectly crisp with great seasoning. Came here during the week after reading reviews. There were several people waiting when we showed up. We ordered a beef shawarma and waited about 5-10 minutes. There were picnic tables nearby for us to sit and eat. The shawarma was well seasoned, not super salty or bland and very tasty. A good snack. While for $11 I would like to be full...this was just so tasty. The seesh sauce and pickles is what took it to the next level. Little food card that's over here at South waterfront first time I've been to it and they pack it in pretty nice for the price you're paying although I think it's just a little bit high but you know I'm not a food truck owner or in the food business or restaurant business whatsoever. Other than that, the taste is really delicious and it's about 12 inches or a little longer for that Shawarma. And if you're interested in getting the sandwich, it's the same thing just in sandwich form. We had a humble gathering for my partner's birthday and asked for catering for the event. We love the food cart at PSU and enjoy the walk to eat or pick up there. We asked for enough food for about 15 people, beef & chicken, rice, hummus, falafels, and loads of their sauces of which we can never get enough of. All the food was obviously made with love and care. The falafels were handed to us immediately after cooking because who doesn't love a fresh, warm falafel! The rice was made by Faisal's father and is without a doubt the best rice we've ever had. Everything was made from the heart and we were even given so much food we were lucky enough to share more for the following day. Some of our guests have never experienced Jordanian food and it blew their minds at how tasty everything was. Now they know and they know where to go. Sheesh loves to make food for people, they enjoy the happiness that they bring to everyone with their fresh and layered flavors of cuisine. I usually don't like falafel because it's really dry and just blah, that's so not the case here it's moist and flavorful, let's say delicious, and let me tell you about the key. It is phenomenal. This is a brand new food cart at PSU near the library. We just wanted a quick snack at the food carts BUT when we saw the cart, the menu, food prices, and how nice the young owner is, we decided to give it a shot. After going back and forth between Humam T. and the owner, we decided on beef Shawarma per his recommendation. He was right. The sandwich was crazy crazy good. The seasoning/spices were tasty, the crunchiness of the pickle, tomatoes, and the French fries added a good touch. And then toasted on all sides. Consistently superb Shawarma sandwiches, with different complex flavors underneath the quality meats they use, and fast service make this a favorite spot in Portland. Not cheap (what is, anymore?), but at least it's worth it. Sheesh Shawarma shares a food truck pod with 3-4 other food businesses. David and I both chose the chicken shawarma plate, although I think we got beef instead. It was a lot of food for the money, as the meat and rice portions were very generous and delicious. Fries are also included, but one starch (rice) was enough for me.
