    Sheesh Beef Combo

Snagged a beef shawarma combo on my way to my hotel and it was great. The food got a little messed up on the way, but that's on me! The veggies in the shawarma were super fresh and crisp, and the beef was very tender and flavorful. The fries were so good especially with their sauce. Perfectly crisp with great seasoning. The price is good too! I'd definitely be here all of the time if I lived in the area.

The fries by itself were mid and needed seasoning, but with the sauce is good. The chicken shawarma was delicious for the first couple bites but quickly became boring. Needed some other components to round it out.

Came here during the week after reading reviews. There were several people waiting when we showed up. We ordered a beef shawarma and waited about 5-10 minutes. There were picnic tables nearby for us to sit and eat. The shawarma was well seasoned, not super salty or bland and very tasty. A good snack. While for $11 I would like to be full...this was just so tasty. The seesh sauce and pickles is what took it to the next level. I would return...maybe order a side next time, but wish there was more than just fries. Overall 4.5

Sheesh is AMAZING. The students & faculty at PSU are lucky to have such a fantastic shawarma spot on their campus. The sauce that they serve with the chicken & fries is also next level. Once you eat here you will understand why it's called Sheesh because it will make you say "Sheesh, this is so damn good."

Date: 1 August, 2025 Item Ordered: Chicken Shawrma Price: $9.99 Amount: It was more than enough for one person. Taste: So good! Loved it. * They have spicy or no spicy option. I took the spicy one. * It was ready within 5-7 minutes. * Best part: A Surah was being played on the audio player. Reminded me of the food carts of my country.

Coming from the middle east (Palestine, Jordan, Syria, and Kuwait) 35 years ago and where SHAWARMA and FALAFEL are almost daily meals and had tried different places in the Portland area. Sheesh Shawarma is my # 1 choice as it brings back memories and that distinctive taste I experienced back home. Friendly and courteous service, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. I recommend the FALAFEL Bites with TAHINI sauce (Amazing)

OK, let me start by saying I do not like falafel or so I thought, well that's not the case any longer. I usually don't like falafel because it's really dry and just blah, that's so not the case here it's moist and flavorful, let's say delicious, and let me tell you about the key. It is phenomenal. I want a huge container to take to Arizona with me..SOOOO GOOD! Tzatziki and sausages were all delicious. The chicken is a nice chicken breast. The beef was delicious. The service was fabulous next time in Portland. We will have to come back. It's worth the trip..

First things first they are open late so that's always a plus, they have a great selection of meats even for vegetarian people as well so another check, and lastly there workers in particular yonas was very respectful and made sure our order was 100% the way we wanted it!!

Location is a bit hard to find, it's on campus and very limited parking. Family operated, great people! Service was fast and everyone was friendly. Beef shawarma wrap: 5/5, meat was tender and flavorful. Wrap was slightly toasted to where it was warm and fluffy. Must try! Lots of outdoor seating.

So good, I wish I didn't have to share today

The atmosphere was lively and I loved the industrial, modern decor. I went on a busy Friday night and was sat right at my reservation time. Our server was personable and friendly. They had a small mocktail selection with creative options. I went with the "worth a chai", which was spicy, sweet, and tangy. The tasting menu was $75 each for two people and we got a total of 9 dishes and left full and with leftovers. Not one dish wasn't delicious and I enjoyed how each dish had an unexpected flavor or textural element to keep things interesting. All the ingredients felt fresh and the dishes were bright in color and taste. Despite the larger quantity of food, the meal overall felt well- balanced, healthy, and not too heavy or decadent. I keep thinking about the hamachi crudo that came with this amazing smoky eggplant that complemented the vinaigrette on the fish perfectly. The radicchio salad was addictingly good with the fruity burst of sweetness from the cherries. The hummus is insanely rich and pairs well with the thick, fluffy pita. I could keep going on about each dish, but these were my absolute standouts. I especially appreciated the timing of the dishes. New dishes came out right as we were finishing the last. I will be coming back here to try more of the menu.

It ended up being a great spot. The ambiance is great and the bartender was pleasant. They have a seasonal menu, which assures me that we're going to get the freshest produce possible. We started with the Labneh & Confit Butternut Squash. It was fine, but not my favorite dish of the night. The labneh was more like Greek yogurt than cheese, which isn't a bad thing, but I would have liked a little more saltiness. The Harissa Spice Shrimp, on the other hand, was fantastic. Definitely the standout item we actually ordered. The Baked Eggplant was good too, although it didn't quite wow me. I think there was some mix up, as we were first served the Roasted Eggplant Dip. We flagged the server down to say it wasn't what we ordered, but they let us keep it. Boy were we happy about this! It was the best dish of the night (and a must reorder). The pita to go with the Labneh and the Dip was excellent too. Piping hot and just right.

Nicholas Restaurant has a really cute, welcoming vibe, with outdoor tables and plenty of seating inside. They have a great selection of drinks, and I decided to try the house Arnold Palmer--made with fresh lemonade and cinnamon mint iced tea. It was unique and really refreshing. The hummus tasted incredibly fresh, the tzatziki had a nice tangy kick, and the falafel balls were perfectly crispy and flavorful. For my main, I ordered the chicken breast kabob plate, which came with two skewers, rice, tzatziki, and garlic sauce. The chicken was incredibly tender and cooked just right. This was my only other scheduled meal…read more I wanted to treat my friends to a meal on our friend's wedding day. Figured it would be the best way to kick off our day. Luckily, I was able to secure a reservation. The walk over was under 10 minutes for both of us. It gave me just the perfect amount of time to kill a j. I was ready to drink all the things. Sure enough, my hydration station had 3 options. Limoncello spritz for the fun category, water for hydration and Americano soda for the caffeine. The spritz was perfection. We started off with an order of the arancini. As we were unsure if we would like it, we got one then got another one as soon as we got our first bite. That was followed by the donuts. We were all in agreement that some type of dipping sauce would be a nice touch. My suggestion is dulce de leche. We then went to town on the broccoli &! Italian sausage, hash and tagliatelle. When I tell you - I was in food heaven. That tagliatelle was IT. My friends were kind enough to let me finish the rest. I gave way to the other two. Despite being ridiculous full, we still managed to make room for dessert. We got the cookie and lemon pound cake. Bro that pound cake can get it. The mascarpone whip on top made me tingle on the inside after I got a taste. My gawd I wanted to eat the whole thing. The biggest compliment came at the end of the night when my friend told me I chose the perfect spot and picked all the right dishes. Big thanks to Mike for taking such great care of us. He had the best response to my answer when he asked if we had allergy restrictions. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town.
