I love this place. My friend an I have made it a ritual to smoke hookah and grab a hot dog from Spike's afterward. The "head buzz" is definitely our favorite - a mixture of rose, mint, and some kind of citrus. It's $35 a set up for the specialty blends but you can attach up to four tubey things to it. Compared to other places, the atmosphere is great and they do not charge you to change coals. The staff is friendly and attentive, coming around often to check/change your coals. read more

Pathetic service! Rude behavior! We went with a group of friends on a sat night ! I get it's a busy time , but the server could have spoken decently! He told us there would be 40 min wait and took our no. We went to the bar next door and he calls us in 20 mins ! We reach in 3 mins and he has given our table to someone else! And then he says you don't come when I call , I give the table to someone else! Who does that? Never returning to this place again! Don't care how good the hookah is! Before I begin, I would like to note that I am well aware with more demand and/or popularity businesses must change rates and policies but this should be made public information to patrons. Myself and three of my friends decided to come to this establishment. When we entered, we were given a menu and a table. The server came over and asked if we were ready to request a hookah. My friend began to speak on the flavors and/or various variety of choices that are listed on the menu. The server immediately stopped her and noted that because we had four people in our party, we MUST order two hookahs. Never have being there previously, we all questioned why this information wasn't listed on the menu. I asked for a minute to discuss with my friends what was the next course of action. While discussing among ourselves, we looked at the menu and noticed that on the bottom it is stated "only 4 people to a single hookah - any greater party additional charges will be required" We then called over the server again to ask why on the menu it is listed that 4 people can share one hookah contrary to what we were just told. The server stated that "they recently changed their policy and we MUST get 2 hookahs and if we don't like it, we can leave." All we were asking for was some clarity because due to their inability to update their patrons of their policy changes, we were confused. When we asked where was the additional menu that noted these changes, the server became irritable and continued to state that if we did not want to be there, we did not have to be. Ultimately, there were many things on the menu that were crossed out by the use of white out and I feel as though a policy change as such requires transparency rather than hostility. I would not recommend this unfriendly and unprofessional establishment to others. read more

Came here last night (same as Albert L from previous review) and I cant comprehend what he is complaining about. I came with 3 girlfriends and we ordered the grape hookah with the extra coal and we enjoyed every minute of it. You can clearly taste the tremendous quality of the hookah from the start and he keeps its flavor the entire time. The ambience is great - just right without trying "too hard" and alot more intimate than Tangerino in Charlestown. We would not hesitate to go back anytime. The staff was wonderful and it was a great place to chill for a different type of 'girls night out'. read more

There aren't many hookah lounges in the Boston area so hearing about Sheesha was a welcome surprise. A little off the beaten path it's a two minute walk from the corner of Cambridge, and Harvard streets. Marked by a kind of dive-bar-esque street sign the inside is anything but dive. Had a cool college type crowd. Kind of reminded me of the kids who would usually be on there way to Bijou, or Venue, maybe Estate, but decided they wanted to have a more chill night with coffee, and hookahs of all flavors while top 40 remixes play in the background. I was impressed by the menu, lot's of flavors to choose from. Chips, and salsa, and other things to munch on while the staff filled tables throughout. Good - Flavors are plentiful and very good. Nice chill atmosphere. Good Staff Bad- Pricey, no parking A bit pricey (but no different than other Boston hookha bars), but all in all a good time. Very chill inside and very good flavors. All in all a great night. I am not sure about the other comments about not being able to bring in alcohol but where can you do this? On the way back from Deep Ellum, ran into the Sheesha Lounge. It's a place with a vibe of a faraway land, with its exotic tobaccos and friendly crowd, right here in Allston! Here, people may share their sheeshas with strangers. You will find Sheeshas recommended by knowledgeable staff. I would recommend trying Jasmine with a hint of mint. The Moroccan Mint tea is excellent with it. The menu is limited, but complements the flavors of Sheeshas well. The decor is eclectic, but not as rich as it could be, such as the prints on the wall of the main space, but loved the large terracotta piece in the restroom. Would've preferred a stronger central theme. As you may expect, the place is very smoky, but some may consider this part of the charm. These are minor criticisms, I'm glad Sheesha Lounge is in Allston, now I have no reason to go to Charlestown. read more

I've been to Sheesha a couple of times with my girls and each time it has been a really nice evening. The servers kept everything nice and although they are not chasing you down every moment a quick glance in their direction worked well as if they were anticipating. I had a great experience here. The place is now open during the day and, because of that, you get great deals on the sheesha. Only $15. If you run into a promoter and get a flyer, you can also get discounts on the drinks- which makes it a chill, cheap place to hang out with friends who are on a budget. I know most people say the service here is slow, but I had a good server. Love the music, its cool that they have board games (though I didn't play any). With free wi-fi and a new espresso machine, a definite place to hang out and get some work done. And the best part is they don't glare at you for staying for hours, or cut off your internet. read more

went with the coconut shisha and was pretty pleased. shared a hookah with 2 others and since we were the first customers they gave us the big hookah - didn't even come close to finishing and it we were there for 2 hours. i'm not sure why people think this was so expensive - $25 is pretty standard i think for hookahs in the US. and yeah, i get that it's way cheaper on the other side of the world, but so are cigarettes, and those aren't imported. anyway, it's not like you smoke a hookah alone - you're splitting the cost between a few people. i'll get off my soap box now, but as someone who considers themselves pretty cheap in general, i wasn't appalled by the pricing. the hosts were pretty attentive, though a little frazzled and disorganized at the start. i didn't notice anything wrong with the place but they kept going on about some explosion in their system and that their speakers were weird and the ambiance wouldn't get going till later. and then they were confused about what they had in stock and what they didn't - it was a very bizarre first 5 minutes, but when my friends and i settled in it was fine. the music was good and our coal got replaced frequently...an enjoyable experience, and i'd go back for sure. read more

My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice way to end the night and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The ambiance was extremely chill and the besides it being very crowded on a Sunday the owner made sure we were taken care of. If you were hesitating going just give it try. The music was very good with a mix of hip hop, reggae and what some folks enjoy listening to on the top 10 billboard lol. Totally recommend! read more

I love this place, it is a very welcoming environment. The hookah flavor selection is great and they have tasty fruit bowls. I love coming here after a long day and relaxing with friends. My favorite part is the ice hoses. On top of everything the staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful with recommendations and choosing the right flavors. I recommend this place and would rate it 10/10. I've been to other hookah bars in and around Boston and I always come back to this one. read more

This place is awesome! You can pick your own music, flavors, and the seating setup is very comfy. Gotta love it! Mike and Ruth are great! I love this place. It's super chill! The flavor selection is good, and they're very attentive when it comes to changing the coals. They always have good music and an awesome movie on. They also have board games like checkers and connect four. It can get pretty crowded if you go anytime after 9 p.m. They have food, but they order it from another place, so there is a minimum you have to meet. It's a little pricey if there's only two of you ($25-35). read more

Have to Wait for more than 1:30 hr to get a table for 2 person . They never answer the phone and accept reservation . The shisha is under average , they are putting all the tobacco in one large plastic container , so expect to order a grape flavor shisha , it will come with mint , Apple & other flavor . This used to be one of my things to do, and on regular occasion (back home overseas that is). our little possie would head out to Siva in Prague (http://www.prague-life.com/pictures/m.184.jpg) at least twice a week for a good smoke sesh and tea (masala chai mostly). Metal chairs, loud techno music, and ZERO understanding of what smoking "shisha" is supposed to be all about. Oh,and it's like a priests dream being there because of all the young boys smoking pipes. My friend from Israel recently came back home to Jewton and mentioned hookah..so I was thinking there's gotta be a place that has an iron fist over the Nile. Did some searches, and "why not Sheesha Lounge" I said bec of what was open (till 2 every night btw). We get there, and for starters it doesn't look pretentious on the outside..good sign. Inside, you can say the same. But damn is it small. I can see this place really cram up, and have it take away from the "lounge" part. Anyway, we look at the menu's, and shit (can i say that?) the prices! I found out that it's the norm here...filthy scandalous. But hey, on the bright side Free Coal! Turns out Habibi Lounge charges which will set you back for sure. Ordered a blueberry shisha along w a rooibos tea(mehhh, expected proper tea set-up a la original). But I must say, we were puffing away till closing. Flavor stayed throughout, so I'm impressed. All in all, I had a chill time out at this place. Owner (not being middle eastern), did some research on what will make it come off authentic. Good for you, and your business. I am sure you make a killing seeing how owning an Indoor-Smoke license is now no mo' possible. Ike and Ashley definitely made our stay worthwhile, good people and serve the right service. Was not impressed with this place at all. It's a very small place and I didn't like the atmosphere. They don't serve alcohol, they have tea, soda & water. It was a pretty boring time, the only thing that saved it was the board games and card games they had. read more

Ah! I love love love this place. I checked out Habibi's a couple weeks back, and this place blows it out of the water. The atmosphere is fantastic. It's not too middle eastern or overdone, as some places can be, and they manage to keep it extremely relaxed. The last time I was there, they had a projector down, playing The Hangover in the background if you wanted to watch. It was great! I've never had to wait, I get immediately seated. The girls who work there are great!! Always hysterical and welcoming. Hookah hardly gets harsh and when it does, they are more than happy to help. The drinks and food are fabulous! Their Irish Creme soda is to die for. I just love this place!! read more

Giving this place two stars for our night waitress. She was the highlight of the place. She was cool friendly and attentive. Unfortunately can't say this about the rest of the staff. Came in looking for a table with a small group of friends. When I came in I didn't even know who worked here. The staff was sitting down at the table smoking away. Finally went to the front and a guy stood there and starred at me. I had to ask him if he works there. Asked for a table and he said they could accommodate us. When I said okay he then told me it would be 15 minutes. What sense does that make. The prices are pretty expensive compared to all the others in the area. Very poor service. I had gone in with one of my friends around 7pm on Saturday and we are told we can sit wherever and hands us a menu. Now first thing, we tried to order one of the blends that was slightly more expensive and he tells us that they are out of all of them and that they only have single flavors. Next, after we've started smoking a bit he comes over to us and asks us to close our tab because his shift is ending. He tells us the price which is way over what it said it was on the menu. He added tax and 15% gratuity into it (which to be honest he wouldn't have even gotten 5% if I had the opportunity) and leaves. Very rude and I will not come here again. Only redeeming quality was when he left we had a guy change our coals twice who seemed really nice and wasn't invasive at all. read more

This place is ridiculous. I go here at least a couple times a week. Here is the real low down on this place: Its beautifully decorated and the ambiance in perfect, its a type of lounge you would expect walking into Amsterdam. Some staff is more hookah-orientated than others, hopefully you will have Erick wait on you and recommend some crazy blends. He was the one who created the "sheesha headbuzz" and told me last time he is working on a "blueberry lemonade blend", with honey mixed into the shisha! Hookahs are clean and pull nice, if not let the staff know they will help you out. This place is your own little spot. YOU request the music, YOU request what you want to watch (TV's and projector screens) They even have XBOX they play movies and video games through if you want. I played the soccer game FIFA with some friends on the big projector screen and it was amazing! Before 10:00 you can order hot, fresh made-to-order THAI and INDIAN food brought right to your table...AMAZING, try the vegetable samosas. Seriously....where else in Boston can you chill and listen to the music you want, watch whatever you want, & smoke a hookah indoors while eating fine Indian food? ....right...NO WHERE! Sheesha is on facebook and twitter! I love this because they update there flavor stock, special events (they show Dark Side of Oz alot late at night and really dim the lights...its so awesome and trippy!!!), and promotional events through these social networking sites. Very up to date and modern. Search "Sheesha lounge - Allston ma" on face book to find them. The prices are awesome...hookah bars cost $25-30 per pipe people...get used to it. This place will blow you away folks...it can get really busy sometimes so be patient if the place is packed and understand time goes into properly preparing a good hookah. I don't ever yelp, but I have to put in a good word for this place. Last weekend a group of my friends went to the Nile, it was packed (saturday night) and they had no desire to let us in or wait. So we went to Habibi's and got our smoke on. Why didn't we stay? Lets just say we were all SUPER uncomfortable with the treatment and service and LOOKS we got. Ok yeah...we were a bunch of college kids but come on...its Allston. Despite my friend recommending Sheesha, we still stayed for a bit to finish our hookah because it was freezing outside and we didn't want to go back out. Feeling rushed we were out of there within the hour. I was bummed out to see a line at Sheesha because I was already cold from the walk, but a door man was on duty, told us who was in front of us, and an estimated time of wait. (Professional!!!) We got inside within a half hour. Not in the best mood from our long journey I was incredibly delighted to be greeted by a very very attractive waitress. She was incredibly friendly and served us FAST even though this place was packed, she knew what she was doing. We ended up getting two hookahs, both the servers recommendations. 1st up was their famous "Head Buzz" and then a complex creation she made for us, I forget all the flavors that were in it. She even went on to tell us about the hookah we were smoking from when we commented on how nice it pulled. "Kali Mamoon" I believe it was called, and she said they use some kind of special coconut shell coals. Everyone else around us seemed to be having just as good of a time as we were. The staff seemed to change up the music a lot due to what people were in the mood for which I thought was very cool. I felt extremely comfortable because it seemed everyone was around my age group and there to just chill and not be the most authentic hookah smoker in the world. Tables got up and danced which was pretty great and everyone seemed to have a smile on their face. I can't wait to go back. Don't come here, cause the owner have a shitty attitude and he doesn't give a damn about you and your money! First time to a Hookah Bar! Couple college friends came in town tonight, 5 of us got 2 hookah! Saw others had water on the table, so I asked for 5 only to find out it doesn't come with the Hookah, because it's 2 dollars per Poland spring! Told one of the owner I'm sorry, we will keep 2 out of 5 waters. Boston salary and rent doesn't allow me to be spending like this! We will keep 2! They are a bit pricey! Went to the bathroom, bathroom got no sign on so was looking for it! The same owner pulled me back and told me there is a guy infront of me! Alright, came to see him leading a girl and cut ALL of us to the bathroom, so ob I asked him were she in line? He responded with you bring a very negative energy! When does waiting for bathroom and being cut by others became NEGATIVE energy! If I treat my customers like that at work, I be fired!! read more

The staff here is horrible and very unprofessional, service was awful as well. The place definitely needs remodeling. The menu claims to have fruit bowls, and when I tried to order a hookah with a fruit bowl I was told they were "out" but I'm pretty sure they just don't carry them.
