First, I have to say that I am a general contractor, so I know quality work and great service when I see it. However, my company does commercial work, so I don't know a lot of subcontractors who do residential work. After having completed three separate projects at two different houses with Sheets Contracting, I can say without hesitation that this is an excellent company and I would not hesitate to hire them again. Ben Moya was Sheets' Project Manager and he was extremely responsive and very knowledgeable. He came up with many creative solutions to the unexpected issues we uncovered - and he never pushed back on my desire to make things perfect. Hugo Avila was our lead electrician on site, and he showed the same eye for detail and quality that Ben did. He quietly went about his business every day and I was always impressed with the high quality of his work. Just wanted you to know you have top-notch electricians...they know their stuff but are professionals, too. They do a good job representing you and your company. Yesterday Lester came out and I was expecting Ben, as he always comes. The job was complicated and I couldn't remember all the details but knew Ben would remember. When he texted me that Lester was coming in his place, I texted back to please cancel until another time as I couldn't remember what needed to be done to explain it to Lester and didn't want to pay while he figured it out. Ben solved it! He came by and explained the situation to Lester. Lester did a fabulous job and was able to thread the wires from the attic without opening the wall and ceiling. It looks beautiful! After speaking with three of the top Tesla website recommended vendors, the straight forward and willingness to make the effort without taking advantage of the fact was appreciated. Jeff, Kwan, & Kyle really make the effort to be fair and make sure the job is done right. Having just enough electrical background to be a trouble maker, I can say from a little experience that they are willing to be creative when it is needed, no nickel & dime games, to a man polite/genuine/professional (no so common) and do reasonable finish work given what they have to work with. In my case, we couldn't run a full wall charger solution & circuit but needed to get to a detached location in a functional manner - mission accomplished, permitted, working. Sheets was recommended to me by Tesla for a home electric car charger outlet. I was a little concerned because all the breaker slots in my electric panel were full. Jeff had me take a picture of my panel with may cell phone and email it to him. He looked at it and said he could consolidate some of the full size breakers with smaller combination breakers and make room for the new breaker for the Tesla outlet. He also quoted me a firm price over the phone. The day I got my trade-in approved by Tesla and knew I had a deal, he got the city permits and scheduled one of his men to come out and install the receptacle the next day. His man showed up on time and did a great job. Jeff also scheduled the city inspection to finalize the job. I wouldn't hesitate to use Jeff for any electrical work in the future. read more

Al Arcos, from Sheets, performed some " very smart" trouble-shooting steps to find and solve the problem. He was very thoughtful in his approach and found a problem well-hidden that would normally be overlooked by almost anyone. Al is a gifted electrician with his ability to analyze problems. We have worked with many contractors over the years that we consider "average". The team from Sheets, definitely including Al, are not "average" - they are superior. Let's start with the owner's attitude. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him. I believe positive energy in life can do a whole lot for you and the people you're surrounded with. Every one of his people on my job site had a wonderful attitude. I'm sure they themselves are good people. But there is no doubt in my mind that the owner set the tone. Let's talk about the work. They showed up on time, were fast, efficient, and in the end everything worked perfectly. They even helped me out and squeezed me into what I am sure was a tight schedule of theirs. They installed 240V receptacle for my electric car and it works perfectly. They even painted the conduit that ran on the outside of my house so that it would match and not stand out. Electric Vehicle Power Outlet Installation. Excellent Work, Very Timely! I ordered my new Tesla on December 1 and was told it would arrive sometime between December 17 and December 31. I contacted Jeff at Sheets Contracting and arranged for him to install the outlet on December 17. It doesn't happen very often but on Monday December 14, I received a call from Tesla and was told my car would be ready for pickup on Wednesday December 15. I call Jeff and alerted him to the early arrival. Jeff indicated he did not want me to get the car and not have the power outlet available so he went out of his way and rearranged the work schedule for his team so my power outlet was installed on December 15, where I brought the car home. I had Sheets Contracting install a Tesla charging outlet in my garage. The current panel and electrical feed from Edison was not adequate. Jeff personally contacted the representative at Edison and worked out the best way to install the increased capacity. He gave us multiple options however in the end for the work he did, his price was the best of 3 other contractors that I received bids from. In addition he has provided for additional grounding in the initial scope however during installation, he determined it was not necessary which saved us over $200. We had used Sheets in the past for a rental unit with a really hard to find electrical problem. They found the issue quickly and charged a reasonable price to fix it. They were the electrical contractor for an extensive bathroom remodel. Sheets not only does first rate work at a fair price, but demonstrated a knowledge of the building codes that surpassed that of the inspectors. When an arbitrary decision was made by an inspector, Jeff was able to set him back on the right course. That happened because the inspectors also respect his knowledge, and are aware of the quality of work that he does. At no point in working with him did he ever attempt or even suggest cutting any corners. But he did work with us to offer choices that ultimately reduced our costs while making sure that the things I wanted to do would be acceptable to the building inspectors. So, like some other reviewer said, 5 stars is not enough. read more

AMAZING! Best experience ever. They installed a Tesla charger perfectly and reasonably. Couple weeks later I discovered my sprinkler controller wasn't getting power. "Assumed" it was related to their previous work so I called. Owner came out within minutes (we had already left) and literally saved my butt. Gave Jeff the info he needed to get into the gate and take care of my dog. He discovered that my sprinkler had a dead battery and I walked him though getting a new battery out of the house and he noticed a burning smell. I left the portable oven on with a scone in it!!!!! Fixed everything and refused to charge me and made sure my dog and house were safe! read more

Sheets Contracting did all the electrical work when we remodeled our house. We have been calling them for minor electrical issues every since. A circuit breaker for our bedroom outlets tripped and I could not reset it. I called Sheets Contracting for help. Nick called me to set up an appointment. He was prompt for the appointment and very courteous. After inspecting the problem breaker, Nick found that it was ok, but had not been reset properly. Before I got my Tesla I had another electrician install the plug. It was not a professional installation and would not have passed inspection. We had Sheets Contracting install a NEMA 14-50 plug in our garage. The installer was on time to the appointment, early even. He ran into some problems with there not being enough room in our breaker box but was able to do some rewiring to make it work without having to buy and install a whole new panel.
