The store is very easy to navigate with sections of the same ingredients and many bundled options as well. This trip I got the popcorn box, which has 4 sprinkle toppings to use on my popcorn. They are always having a same it discount on some of the products, so look ahead or ask a store employee about them. Pro tips: 1. Beforehand sign up for their free never newsletter to start getting the massive discounts! 2. The store has a kid space if you want to bring them in with you! 3. There's also a few free parking spaces in the back of site down the alley!!

I don't really have the patience to cook, so I never really understood the hype around "quality spices"... until the last year or two. After a post-brunch wander, we popped in and grabbed a few of their small sample seasonings (mainly for steak), and WOW--consider me converted. I'm officially hooked and buying spices for cooking, baking, and their hot chocolate section is perfection in the cold months! My husband does the Dutch cocoa but I love the hot cocoa mix with a hint of mint :) The staff are always warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. There's constantly something new to smell and explore which makes it dangerous in the best way. You never really walk out with just what you planned on buying Pro tip: get on their mailing list!! Unfortunately I still live in beef country, so when I came to visit the cities I knew I had to come here. It was definitely a safe space and I finally felt like I belonged. To not only offer vegan and vegetarian things, but be openly proud and celebrate those things? It blows my mind. I immediately bought a "meat free" sweatshirt. I'm sure I'll catch hell for it back home but oh well! I also found vegan fish sauce which was so exciting. I have not been able to make many recipes I wanted to due to not using real fish sauce so it was great to find it here. Honestly there are so many great things to choose from here it's mind blowing. So I ordered the ribs (brought them home and need to make them still) and the teriyaki jerky. I did try the jerky and I really did enjoy the flavor but the texture is not nearly as good as, say, primal jerky, For ten bucks a bag it was just ok. For lunch I got the turkey dill havarti sandwich and it was excellent! I shared it with my vegan brother and carnivore husband and they loved it. In fact my husband finished it off and declared it incredible. I tried the italian cold cut sandwich my brother got and it was even better! I love the peppers. Another fun part of this was watching my carnivore husband get excited about ordering faux meats he wanted to try. Overall this is a great place. I think it's just going to get better and better over the years as they perfect their recipes.

He prepared himself to leave so that I may get assistance. I'm thinking what a wonderful way to start a review. Finer Meats is located right off the intersection of 38th/Nicollet Ave. They're two stores down from Nighthawk's. They have a real fine history. Doug, who is the current owner, is also the grandson of the original owner. He shared how his grandfather became the owner & how this quaint shop, with it's loyal patrons, are still standing after all of these years. You have to stop by to hear this story & to hear how many years they will be celebrating soon! I had a wonderful time chatting with the two ppl there. I didn't buy anything today, but plan to Monday. I have my eyes on some Turkey Tom wings for Thanksgiving. The young lady I chatted with was also quite friendly & shared info on different meats. I think I may shop here going forward for my meats. They offer meat packages in different poundage. There are also a lot cheese options. I didn't get a photo of their selection of smoked meats, but they have an entire case of smoked meats: hammocks, turkey legs & wings, and so much more. Parking may be a merry-go-round, I don't believe they have a lot. However, if you're on the bus, you may catch the 18 or any other Nicollet Ave bus that reaches 38th. Parking option is street parking only. Come check them out! You will not be disappointed.

I have purchased turkey a few times that has gone bad in my fridge before or immediately after the sell by date. I have a brand new fridge as well, so that can't be blamed. When you charge this much for turkey, it should at least last until the sell by date. I also don't appreciate how when you purchase a smoothie, they pour massive amounts of it down the drain when it doesn't fit into your cup. At least set those out as samples. It is extremely wasteful.

I'm glad that non-members can shop here, though, because I really enjoyed walking around. They had an aisle with bulk goods in bins, which I don't often see around here. I was mostly there to check out the cheese selection, and what I found pleased me greatly. They had a nice variety of cheeses, including many top-level local makers. They also had diverse jams, honeys, and crackers to go along with cheese; those were arranged atop the cheese gondola and on a nearby shelf. Checkout was fast, the checker very welcoming and pleasant. I'd definitely visit this market and others in the chain if I come across them again.

La Cosecha does an excellent job of keeping their shelves stocked with all my favorites and then some. I tried an avocado/habanero salsa here recently that was delicious. Besides keeping me in fire-breathing intensity, La Cosecha carries all kinds of Latin American staple foods that I want from Central and South America. They stretch from the Mexican north (tamale husks, steamers, stone mortar & pestle sets) all the way to the southern tip of Chile (frying dough for cheese empanadas).

Can't say if it tasted good cos I don't eat pork but my BF scarfed them down so I'm guessing it was tasty. Price was very reasonable too. I've also bought stuff from the store here like dried chili's and plantains. Stuff you can't always get a a regular grocery store, they seem to have here as far as Latin food goes.
