Had an emergency procedure done recently by Dr. Jasmeen Aujla (part of the Dobee group). I find her to be an excellent communicator, not wordy, but definitely keeps you well informed with what's about to happen and what to expect with every step along the way. This helps a great deal to lessen anxieties. She is also quite observant--often preempting my need to speak with a well-timed question. This saves me the futility and frustration of having to try to speak with numerous instruments and fingers in my mouth. Again, adds to the overall pleasantness of my visits. Furthermore, she does not try to up-sell on any additional services. That's huge in my book. As for the work, Dr. Aujla is quite skilled. My crown feels just like the original tooth. The entire procedure involving 3 visits completed with minimal discomfort and almost no anxiety--entirely opposite of the nightmares of my childhood. read more

Dr Doobe is caring and highly skilled. Not only is she superb. She also has a culture of excellence in her team, from the dental assistant and office manager to the dental surgeons. Banish all fear when you come to Dr Doobe's house of healing dentistry as she has put together the expertise and the human factor to get her patients through. Where do I start? I've always been disappointed with my dentists in the past, so much that I gave up on them entirely. They have always prescribed the wrong thing, or done a shoddy job that I thought I would be better without them. Unfortunately, a bad tooth ache brought me to Dr. Dobee .. my response? Dr. Sheila Dobee is an absolute star (at least five of them!!). I fractured a tooth, which was a very painful and vulnerable experience. Dr. Dobee quickly assessed the situation and provided two detailed courses of action from which to choose. We opted to save the tooth (rather than extraction), and off she went to the rescue! Her bedside manner is amongst the best ... she brought a sense of levity to this whole ordeal, and even sang me a funny song while injecting my gum with local anesthesia. Dr. Dobee and her entire team are some of the most welcoming, kind-hearted people I have ever come across. From the moment you walk in to their office, to the moment you step out, you are well taken care of. When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was the smiling receptionist who immediately greeted me. As I was in the waiting room, which has a whole bunch of magazines, water, and a TV, friendly staff kept coming in to ask if I needed anything. One of the receptionists even had a lengthy conversation with me about school and work. During my first visit there, I was a little apprehensive about seeing a dentist since I had horrible experiences elsewhere; upon hearing this, the receptionist immediately went to grab Dr. Dobee from the back and introduced us. From there, Dr. Dobee talked to me about my anxiety and made me feel a lot better while I waited. During the actual examination, Dr. Dobee was really gentle and she explained everything she was doing to me. She would even stop to ask me if I was doing okay or if I needed anything. It was one of the most relaxing experiences I have ever had, and this was in a dental office! The next day I came in for a filling and I did not feel a thing the entire time! I have had horrible experiences with dental offices. After avoiding the dentist for many years I looked around until I came across this dental office on yelp and it had great reviews. The location is in the middle of a quiet neighborhood. It has it's own small private parking lot in the back and over all the facility is small but very clean and well maintained. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant over the phone and in person. Dr. Ethan Harris is great! He is very friendly and genuine. During the visit he used very positive words like," I like" and "ideal" which made me optimistic about my smile. He took his time to explain the procedures and go over my medications, history and X-rays before diving into the exam. He also did the cleaning and fluoride application himself which is great because at other facilities I have seen the assistants do them. He spend almost an hour in the exam room and discussed a couple of treatment plans. He was the first and only dentist that knew my filling was an actual filling and not a veneer ( which would go under cosmetic and is not covered by insurance). He also recommended an oral surgeon which is available for consultations at the same facility. Overall he was very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Harris! Ps. Very satisfied with my appointment here! I haven't seen a dentist in years, and they were quick to accommodate me in while I was still in town for winter break. I was a bit skeptical because I've always had bad experiences with dentists. During the cleaning they were extremely gentle and explained each and every single thing they did - very informative. I loved how sweet and close everybody in the office was, lots of talking, very lively when you were waiting to schedule or go in. I had a cleaning and X-rays done, and will be going back in for some fillings. They were very honest and suggested I go back to my original orthodontist for my new retainers, but if I'm unable to schedule an appointment with them, then I can come back here anytime! Definitely will be coming back here from now on, and I actually won't be scared of getting a cleaning anymore. read more

I guess I didn't write a review after my first visit. Ok, well here my review based on two of my experiences with Dr. Sheila Dobee. Staff along with the doctor herself, are the most welcoming and super friendly. A lot of people dislike the dentist, but everyone at this office makes you feel very comfortable. What I liked best was that they are very well prepared, informative and patiently discuss issues in detail. 5/5 for staff I had a really bad experience with another dentist in fremont who ONLY looked at my x-Rays and told me I needed a deep cleaning worth $1,700. I wanted to seek another opinion so I came here. Dr. Dobee looked at the x-Rays, teeth, and gums and told me I didn't need one. She was informative about when deep cleaning is required and gave me plenty of reasons for why I didn't need it. I was happy and scheduled a cleaning appointment. Had my cleaning appointment today and same friendliness. She cleaned my teeth throughly and answered all my questions. 5/5 for Dr. Dobee. read more

Dr. Dobee has a heart of gold and the skills of an amazing dentist. I had the pleasure of having her take care of my teeth and make solid recommendations on what I need for future work. I walked out with super clean teeth and a well taken care of smile. It was easy to get an appointment. Her staff makes you feel well cared for and that's important in a dentist. Dr. Hawari is my dentist here! I usually walk into the dentist's office knowing that I have awfully erratic hygiene habits and expecting to be guilt-tripped about it. He's great - personable, funny, and always talks me through the procedures before he does anything. And he's great at affably reminding me that habits are the foundation of good oral health. The front desk has been pretty accommodating within reason - I had to move my Friday appointment and they told me they could slip me in Saturday (yesterday) without charging me. I also have almost $10k worth of work that needs to be done, which is extremely disheartening. They've broken it down into the things I should prioritize and given me an itemized list with the prices I can expect to be charged. Obviously, I can't get it all done this year but they were pretty encouraging about getting the big stuff out of the way. So far, so good! read more

I was gonna give this place another chance. My first visit was alright. Not too impress or dissatisfied. My appointment was canceled with 1hour and 15 min notification which I was I fine and understanding and it was a huge inconvenience to me. The final draw to me is when I called and was gonna reschedule the front desk person did not apologize or mention about any inconvenience. To be fair, this was not the same person I talked to when I made my first appointment, she was super friendly and warm. For someone like myself that is always on measured time this got lots of brownie points right off the top! I just left Dr. Dobee's office a little while ago. I have not been in a dentist's chair for well over 25 years and that was just to have a tooth pulled. Prior to that, I don't remember the last time I had an exam done. My mouth has been in pain the last couple days because of some bad teeth. I called and made an appointment to see Dr. Dobee's. I was thinking because of the condition of my teeth, I would need an oral surgeon. After she examined my teeth along with her associate, they determined I had 4 bad teeth that needed to be pulled. They cleaned my teeth, x-rayed my mouth and examined my teeth, they gave me a game plan to take care of the teeth that were not quite as bad. And Dr. Dobee pulled the 4 teeth bad teeth that nothing could be done with. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Dobee's and her staff. I will be a patient for life. I should have written this long before but, to my fault, I decided to give them a second chance. The first time this clinic really pissed me off was when a hygienist tried to do a deep cleaning ( without asking me) to prove a point about how the previous docs and hygienists did not do a good job. My teeth were fine as I was getting a cleaning every 3 months but hat hygienist was just the straw that was going to break the camel's back. I understand I go on Saturdays when they are busy but it seemed like everytime I went, I met someone new who did not bother to look at my records and if there was someone good I met and tried to keep, they were gone soon. But I went back based on a recommendation for the new doc that I got there. And I've had a great experience with him over the last year except today my appointment was screwed up again. I was made to wait for 25 minutes beyond my appointment time and was met with a hygienist who tried to tell me it's always hygienists who do the cleaning and the doc I always get wasn't even in today (even though I had made an appointment with him). I know, I know, it's hard to believe that I'm giving 5 stars to a dentist, as most of us cringe at the thought of drilling, cavities and the like, but Dr. Dobee is a-MAZ- ing! When I first moved to the Bay area (oh my it's been nearly 15 years now), I was bummed out about finding a great dentist like the one I had in Phoenix. He was friendly, talented, president of the dental association, and had cookies for you in the lobby - How could anyone top that! Somehow I found Dr. Dobee and felt at ease. She was friendly, young, talented, and a Woman! She is quite dexterious with her hands, with good vision -- (recalling bad experience with older painful dentist who definitely could not see) ! Not only does she do the job well, she transformed my dental routine! I now have a fancy toothbrush with the built in timer. Dr Dobee is amazing! My business partner hadn't been to a dentist for years and then when he had a critical emergency Dr. Dobee saw him right away and was able to make him comfortable enough to receive treatment. Despite a massive infection requiring extracting a gigantic wisdom tooth, my partner had minimal discomfort and recovered quickly. His infection was so bad, we all feel that Dr Dobee saved his life!
