Over all pretty meh. When I went in, there were only two people working and they were slammed so there was a pretty long line and both employees seemed pretty frazzled. We couldn't see over their counter so couldn't see how they were making our burrito and they got both of them wrong (didn't put fajita veggies on my partner's veggie burrito and gave me black beans instead of pinto) and of course we couldn't see that until we had left and unwrapped our burritos. Been here a few times. It's been good and not so good. I think they pride themselves on making huge fresh-mex style burritos. You definitely get your money's worth here. As a matter of fact they're big enough to feed two people. First time my burrito was mostly rice. And not Spanish rice. Meh. Next time I asked for less rice and the burrito was mostly black beans. Meh. Very friendly service and fresh. I'm not saying I won't go back because they're close to my house. Also, in their defense not everyone likes the same things. Right? Discovered this little place when looking for something that wasn't pizza or hamburgers like everywhere you go in this town. The steak was tender and flavorful. The quesadilla was so cheesy and crispy. Not soggy like some places I've been to here. Be sure to ask for the chipotle sour cream, it is delicious! read more

Really good! I wanted something easy for dinner on our weekly grand-babysitting night, and this place was just right. We were going to get it to go, but the place was very clean and the staff was friendly, so we decided to stay and have it all fresh. It's a similar concept to other burrito places, but I liked all their options for tortillas. The quesadillas were really quite big, but that's because they use the same large tortillas as the burritos. My girls and grandson all enjoyed this nice place. read more

The staff are friendly and professional, and Jeff and Jozey (the owners) are extremely accommodating and helpful. Need a dash of Tapatio? 3 ounces of cilantro but just a smidgen of cheese? They will always bend over backwards, especially on custom orders, to make sure you get exactly what you're searching for. As an athlete, there is no better place to hit after a hard workout for a well-balanced meal (I'm talking like over 800 calories/30g of protein for under 10 dollars) that is made from REAL food. The chicken is real chicken, the steak is real steak, and they don't cut corners. This is definitely a great place to take your son or daughter after a tough sports practice. I like that they have black beans and fresh cabbage choices for your burrito They make a "tortilla-less" burrito and seve it in a styrofoam container which seems wasteful to me. The dining room is dark and very basic. If you want a burrito and you are on a budget, it's a good option. But, Chipotles is just as good if not better for the money. read more

They made a wonderful chicken quesadilla for my little girl when we stopped by for lunch on our Daddy-Daughter Date Day today, and I asked the gentleman behind the counter to make me whatever he would want to eat. Made me a Chili burrito that was hot enough to take paint off a car, but with a few dollops of sour cream it was absolutely perfect. Was beyond happy with food, price - $19 plus tip for a massive burrito, large chicken quesadilla, big bowl of chops and salsa, and two large fountain drinks, and a chocolate chip cookie for the kiddo for dessert - and great service. Thought this might be a cool hidden gem but it's not. First & last time coming here: The service here is beyond rude. Woman making my burrito had a bad attitude and acted like it was a big inconvenience to make a custom (Build your own) burrito. She was also very busy socializing with the guy working here knowing she was in the middle of helping me and that there were others in line waiting. Why are you behind the counter in a service capacity if you insist on being so rude to patrons? Food is ok. Not very flavorful, but ok. Whitewashed Mexican a la Chipotle copycat. Laughing at the fact that they label their salsas as hot and very hot, when they are absolutely mild. We want to support local businesses, but this business won't be getting any more of our time or money. I showed up with 25 minutes to get food before they are closed but when I pull up they have closed it down early probably due to it being slow. Best burrito in town without a doubt! I eat here at least once, sometimes twice per week. I live nearby and don't always have time to make myself lunch at home, so I call in my order to SlickRock (which allows you to skip the line, just show up 5-10 minutes later, pay and grab the burrito and head out). SlickRock is my go-to spot for a quick and tasty meal. Staff are very friendly. Family owned business. They get very busy during the peak of the lunch rush, to the point where they're too busy to answer the phone. They're as popular and busy as they are for a reason. Really great food! The Thai chicken burrito is amazing, my favorite item on the menu. I really like the chili burrito also (especially with guacamole!!!), too large for me to eat alone. Steak and potato burrito is very good also. I usually get a fresh-baked oatmeal raisin cookie also. Super tasty, I highly recommend this place! But I also like to get a spicy burrito made however the burrito artist feels fit. No matter what you get it will be a large delicious portion. Then it hit me that the Slick Rock name comes from the slick rock territory in Utah and SW Colorado, so of course the flavors were similar (duh). If that description conjures up a taste for you, you know what to expect. Otherwise, if that does not bring an idea to your mind, the place is this: freshly made ingredients and salsas, stuffed into made-to-order burritos, in a laid-back environment with some good tunes being played in the background. [Lastly, If that still doesn't work, think a locally made and owned Chipotle, minus the food poisoning scare.] To make the most of your visit here, and get 4 star worthy food over a mediocre 2/3 star burrito, make sure you order something with fresh salsas and/or veggies. Slick Rock is hands down my favorite burrito shop in town. They have excellent selection and fresh ingredients. Everything is made fresh daily (having worked next door I know first hand how hard the crew works). They are always willing to customize a burrito and know what ingredients compliment each other well. The restaurant itself is clean and the employees make sure to treat their customers as friends. I've never had a bad experience at Slick Rock. I highly recommend venturing out at trying employee suggestions. The staff know interesting flavor combinations I wouldn't think to try and it's all so delicious! The servings are huge for a moderate price. Can't beat it! Great work guys! read more

Slick Rock has been a lunch staple for years. There's not a bad burrito on the menu and everything is so fresh! The ghost salsa is way too hot for me and I like spicy stuff - so if you need capsaicin in your life, Slick Rock has you covered. I also really like the tortilla options as well as the iced bottles in front of the ordering area. I would appreciate a recycle bin for said bottles. This is my first visit to Slick Rock, and I really like that everything on my burrito was fresh. The ingredients were quality products and the service was fast and accurate as well as friendly. It got busy quickly during lunch but the staff managed well. The only thing I felt needed to be added was seasoning. It's not bad seasoning, just a complete lack of it. I could tell the chicken didn't even have salt added, neither did the beans. Again high quality ingredients but needs to be seasoned. I did add salt that was on the table and pepper as well so overall I did enjoy the lunch. read more

Fantastic local joint with fresh and hearty food at a fair price! Just visited this place for the first time this past friday. I was without a car and needed a quick eat and being unable to get to chipotle speedily, I was forced to check out a new burrito joint. The restaurant was quite busy and had a long line, but the staff was efficient and served quickly. Signs all around the restaurant (no cell phones, "'more', 'lots', 'extra' = market price", etc.) may seem rude at first, however truly serve the majority of customers who value efficiency! While I took my food to-go, I was quite impressed and even enjoyed the reheated leftovers the next day! I'll certainly be back and probably skip Chipotle much more often. read more
