I have really tried to like this pizza, but it just isn't good pizza. The crust is undercooked on the bottom. The top is nice and golden and it looks like it is going to taste delicious, but it tastes like cheap pizza with cheap ingredients. The pepperoni tastes like they are using off brand instead of name brand. It's not good, don't waste your money.

Food - After glancing over the local establishments with great ratings, I chose this pizza spot because it was a short drive from Prosper. I'm glad I made that decision as we ENJOYED pizza that was hot and fresh. We tried the Aloha and BBQ chicken pizza. I chose to pickup, though they deliver, and otw home, I shot two quick pics, as I could barely resist the temptation to grab a bite. Both handmade crusts were light, soft and not greasy (yay!), which complimented the toppings perfectly. My favorite was the BBQ, with my husband stating both were delicious. Service - I gave a four because the service was mediocre. Basically greeted me with a flat affect and a hello, passed me the pizza and that was it. Not saying that was a big issue, but I'd already pre-paid and added a tip. Since it didn't matter either way, I would have kept it, especially since I picked up the order. Maybe I'm asking for a lot but no one has to tip, but great customer service is everything when looking for repeat customers. Ambiance - nice, clean establishment in a relatively new strip of stores.

This is my updated review ---- Although they had to raise their prices so did all restaurants BUT I think the food has gotten better I love the Shelby's Philly I sub the chicken for pepperoni and sub bell pepper for extra grilled onions . I also get extra Alfredo sauce on it and do the hand tossed crust . My husband gets the thin crust carnivore and they always pile on the meat. We are lucky to have this amazing little place it taste like the pizza from a fancy restaurant! You won't be disappointed

Best pizza we've had in a long time!!! We ordered a small cheese overload pizza, a small mediterranean pizza and a Greek salad--both pizzas were fantastic!!! We are so full from the pizza that we're saving the salad for lunch tomorrow. Thank you to the folks at Shelby's Pizza~ and to our delivery guy, Samar, for not giving up on finding our address!!!!

At first glance, this pizza is goals: fluffy crust and generous toppings. The staff was also friendly and had our order ready super quick. Sadly, it fell a little short at first bite because the bottom of the pizza lacked firmness (kinda limp) and my husband thought it may have been undercooked. We tried putting it in the oven for a few more minutes which helped. I also prefer my pizza to have a thiccc crust cuz I love my carbs but I respect that thin crust lyfe too. Overall, I'd give this place another shot to see if that first time was just a fluke cuz they had only opened recently.

I was really impressed! We had been looking for a place to get pizza that wasn't a "chain" and didn't try to reinvent pizza with burnt crust and weird ingredients. We ordered two pizzas, one just pepperoni and the other the works, we got both hand tossed crust. The crust was seasoned and cooked perfect. The pizza tasted fresh and wasn't overly greasy like some are. I want to try the thin crust next time, but I would highly recommend them!! We got delivery and they were exactly on time! read more

Philly Steak, with Grilled Meat, Grilled Onions..... but with cold wet raw ungrilled mushrooms.... Why would you do that to an otherwise grilled sandwich paid for double meat and cheese, no cheese. Just bland unseasoned kabab meat. Raw crunchy onions. Just skip this one. read more

Healthy amount of toppings, flavorful sauce, a little sweet but more from the tomatoes themselves and not from sugars. Thin and crispy crust I found to be a little tough so next time we'll go a little more traditional. Was a little disappointed with the side of sauce, the 2oz cup was only 1oz full :/ Still a decent joint and most importantly it was clean! read more

When I first moved to this part of town in 2020 this place was awesome, order taken correctly and pizza was yummy (vowed never to go anywhere else). In the last few months (2022) service has been horrible, they take your order on the phone then you get there 30 mins later and told we don't have an order (few times); service has gotten bad (pizza quality has declined too). Time to find a better place to spend my money (business owners need to understand their are lots of options, your service/food brings repeat customers) read more

Looking for good quality pizza that isn't just dough. After a long search I tried this place. Tasty pizza at a good price. I like that you can choose from 5 types of crust (thick, thin, thin & crispy, stuffed, hand tossed.) I tried the Mediterranean thin crust & hubby tried the Works thick crust. We both loved our pizzas & look forward to our next order. Bonus, they have great specials. We got 2 large pizzas for $28 (plus tax and tip.) We choose pick up, but they have inexpensive delivery also. Only negative is I never received an email confirmation showing my order and total. Ended up calling to make sure they received my online order. read more

Recently moved to the area and was craving pizza for lunch. Placed an order for pickup for garlic bread and pepperoni pizza. Super basic order but let me tell you.. freaking delicious! We live in the area and always want to choose local restaurants when we have the option. Drove past this place one day and thought I need to check them out. We've ordered from here about 4 times so far. Their menu has great options and the prices are fantastic for the amount of food you get. You can't find pasta this good at the prices they're offering anywhere else. My fiancé went to pick up our order one evening and he was talking to the gentleman behind the counter about how much he loved tiramisu and asked if theirs was any good. The gentleman said here take one, and let me know what you think. Well, luckily for me he brought a little home to share with me and, whoa, it was really great. He said he asked the man his name and he said "Shelby", and he asked, "as in the owner?" And he just smiled. Great place, great food and obviously great people. Check them out! read more

I work in the area and got a craving for pizza, I seen the place before. At a glance it's small, next to a 7/11 and you really need to pay attention or you can miss it. Called in my order small pepperoni and jalapeño and to my surprise it was very affordable. My order was only $9 and some change and for a nice size small pizza with two toppings you can't beat that. Gentleman took my order over the phone and wit was only 10 minutes. Let me say this I love pizza and I like to explore and venture into different pizza places. This one though I mean it just looked freaking awesome I wished I could of had some pictures for you but trust me my word says it all. They have a mix of mozzarella and ricotta and when you pull that slice you see that stringy cheesey goodness. I highly recommend this place and support these kind of businesses that put the love in their food. read more

We tried this place after having it as a birthday party. Chain pizzas are a thing of the pst in our house, now. This is REAL pizza. Slightly salty, slightly chewy crust, a hint of garlic. We have ordered them 4 times in the past month- we are hooked! affordable prices, too. I cannot recommend them enough!!!! read more

Works pizza was not that great. Tasted like a basic pie from Pizza Hut. Cheese sticks were stale. Ordered a dessert pizza thinking it came with the toppings pictured and showed up with only Nutella on it. Basically a cracker with Nutella. We could have made that at home. We went to go check this place out today for lunch. We ordered a large hand tossed pepperoni pizza and spaghetti with meatballs. The service was fantastic and the food was even better! This is no pizza like Domino's or Marcos pizza. One of the best pizza/pasta spots I've had. Very authentic Italian food. My husband and two young boys loved the pizza and I enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs served with cheesy garlic bread. Defiantly our new pizza spot!! read more

Sorry, but this place is sad. I was really excited, because it is close to home and I've been waiting for them to open. Finally got to try it and was sorely disappointed. Frozen pizza is better. Wings were soggy and gross. On top of that we paid over $50 for two 2-topping pizzas and wings. Not worth it at all. read more

We are regular customers of Shelby's Pizza. Their thin crust is awesome, as is their hand tossed. They use the proper amount of sauce - not too little and not too much. Their toppings are appropriate, and not skimpy like lots of other places. And, not that this is required for a good pizza place, but their garden salad is more than generous for the $5, and we each have one or a caesar every time we order. Their delivery time has never been more than a little over an hour for us. Couldn't be happier with them. Enuff said. read more

After that, the experience was pretty disappointing. The restaurant was not busy during our Wednesday dinner. There was a group of 6 servers standing in a pod chatting during most of our dinner. Our server did not, which is sad because I was about to pay $30 per plate, plus $14 per cocktail for my husband and I. The Atlantic Salmon I ordered was very large, but too salty. The lemon sauce was not good. The consistency was very thin and tasted tart, poorly seasoned. The veggies (broccoli and carrots) were an afterthought. That made me sadder than my overcooked salmon...because I LOVE broccoli. Small peices of broccoli and carrot sticks were served hiding under the salmon on my plate, probably too ashamed to show themselves. My husband said it looked like they used the frozen veggies that go in stir fry. We paid the large bill and as our server started walking away he said "Yall have a great night"...like in passing, no eye contact, no commitment in it. I can get that exiting phrase at any chain food in the city. What a shame!
