Very friendly, professional, detail-oriented technicians who will have you in and out in no time. Yes, they'll instal your own oil filter and oil if you bring them. $30 labor. Gilbert forgot to install new windshield wipers like I asked him to do, then when I come back the next day, obviously annoyed by this mistake, his response was, "you'll have to wait, I can get you in but it's not like it's raining." Great place for a quick oil change and service. I like going here because the dealerships can't seem to perform a quick oil change. They really understand this is a process that should not take all day. The decor inside is clean with a sorta "Retro" 1950s feel. The displays of the old shell toys and diecast cars really add to the retro feel. Fast, knowledgeable, honest. I have been bringing our cars here for about 5 years, and drive past countless other lube shops to do it. Gilbert is great. My car is done quickly. He lets me know if he finds a problem, and offers a solution. When the filter housing was broken by another shop closer to home, he went out of his way to fix it and did not mark up the price of the housing he had delivered. I've been coming to this place for about 3 years now. They always do an excellent job. There have been times where I needed a headlight changed or a tail light and they've helped me figure out how to do it. In fact often they just changed it for me. They also helped me with figuring out if I needed to change my cabin air filter. Apparently the car design that I have didn't require one. They've never charged me for any of those things. They're always fast I get in and get out quickly and it's very affordable. I just paid $34 for my last oil change. they do other service on cars and I haven't used any of the other services. But I would definitely trust them. They seem to be very fair and honest. read more

I literary can't believe the highway robbery I just went through, I got a full synthetic oil change and had the air filter changed on my wife's Toyota Corolla. It cost me $95 dollars, WTF is this $hit. I have had this same work done on the car before and only paid $60 for full synthetic and an air filter. $20 for an air filter is ridiculous, absolutely god awful ridiculous. Oil change was $65 alone, I never paid more than $45 for full synthetic with valvoline or quaker state oil. This guy used shell oil, their oil isn't even all that great. Never coming back here again and I definitely don't recommend it. What I was charged was definitely not what I saw on the pricing options board in the shop. read more

I've been here a few times, never had issues but I'm a bit disappointed today. Anytime I've had an oil change, they've done an inspection, told me what needs attention. They balance my tires. Today, they only changed my oil. They didn't even balance my tires. When I asked what came up during the inspection, they said "nothing". If I wanted a cheap $15 oil change, I'd simply get that. Here's the dish: Gilbert and crew are awesome and fast. Getting an oil change here is like getting a sandwich at Jimmy John's. One minute you place your order the next minute it is done. I came to Shell Rapid Lube when I desperately needed a new oil change place close to home and looked to Yelp for good reviews. These guys truly know their stuff and their prices are comparable. I used to go a place called Superstition Springs car wash etc on Gilbert and the 60. They were okay but the free car wash was why I went. Then they changed owners a couple times and now its a $3 car wash. Then I went to a place I will not name that did a good job on my brakes on my previous car. The last time I went to this unnamed place they told me all my fluids were drained. Wtf? How can that be? There's been no puddles under my car and I keep it parked in the same spot at work and home. That's when I checked with Yelp and started frequenting Shell Rapid lube. Just yesterday I went for a fuel injector service (my baby is almost 10 years old). Gilbert asked if I wanted an oil change too as its due in 400 miles, I decided to go for it. When all was said and done 40 minutes later Gilbert let me know I might want to get a new battery sooner than later (I had been suspecting as much) and he said Wall Mart has good prices. I took Gilbert's suggestion and got a new battery at Wall Mart today for about $100 with a 5 year warranty. Thank you Gilbert for being an honest mechanic and one of the good guys. Well when he pulled up my vehicle information he said he was out of that oil in conventional but he did have it in synthetic.... Just felt a little too convenient for them... Been going here for 3 years now. Gilbert is a great guy and does fast work. I had a power steering leak at one point that leaked onto the skid plate. While it was off Gilbert went and hosed it all down just because. I bring my own oil (Mobil 1) and filter (Royal P)so they only charge $20 still comes out to $30-35 less then my last time at jiffy ($92ish, my reason for looking else where). read more

Went in for a simple oil change, came away with a air filter housing broken and my windshield fluid tank cracked. When I asked to the gentlemen who helped me to speak to the manager, he told me he was the manager. So I asked to talk to the GM , he said that was him as well. I said if I want to file a complaint about what just happened, he told me that he was the only person to complain to. No head quarters, no website.. He sorry the got broken but it wasn't them. Do NOT use this place for anything!! If something goes wrong you have no way to get help. read more
