They suggested I get a free tire rotation at Discount Tire instead of paying for one there, and they also recommended I have my mechanic replace a belt rather than having them do it--even though they offer both of those services. That honesty goes a long way. On top of the excellent service, the customer experience is outstanding. In the Arizona heat, they offered me a cold bottle of water and gave me the option to wait in their air-conditioned lobby instead of staying in my car while it was turned off. We had the car towed over (2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid), and they diagnosed the problem and repaired the issue quickly and at a fair price. Unfortunately, the tech made a small mistake and once we got the car home, there was more oil on the driveway and a check engine light. Ugh, again. So we called back to Scott to see what he wanted us to do. We understand that sometimes mistakes are made and issues arise. How a business owner handles those issues are the difference between good businesses and great ones. This is a great one. Scott was MUCH more upset than we were! He got us back in same day and fixed the issue at no charge! (We should have paid for a necessary part, but he would not charge us.) With everything so expensive these days, and everyone trying to stretch a buck, it's hard to know if you're leaving your car with someone who cares about it as much as you do. Scott does. The driver had seen him ticketing someone earlier. This was the third time he saw him in that area. I tend to have a lead foot. Possibly saved from a traffic ticket on the way home as I drove slower than normal on that day. Besides the work being done, I asked if the air filter could be checked. I had went to Take 5 for an oil change a few months earlier. As I sat in my car at Take 5 after the oil was changed, I heard banging and the car was shaking. They didn't have my size air filter in stock and had to force my old one back in the car. Steve at Sunland later said my air filter was the correct size and was very clean. No need for replacement. I was pleasantly surprised. Scott, the owner was very helpful explaining what was needed to fix my car. Fair prices and great service. Sunland Auto Service is my new go to for my auto needs in the future.
