During inclement weather we move to the breezeway near the garage. Joe, the owner, runs a very efficient and friendly shop. Many of us order a breakfast sandwich with our coffees and some of us get a pastry. His young helpers are always pleasant, even when the place is overrun by nannies,strollers and babies! The increasing cost of coffee is obviously impacting Joe but he is holding on to his price list. Great place for coffee, breakfast and lunch! We appreciate Joe and highly recommend Cafe Teatro.

It has now morphed into a fastfood joint. Subdued lighting replaced with bright white lights. Comfortable chairs replaced with hard metal chairs and little metal stools suitable for a toddler. The older Asian woman with the puffy surgery face took my order. Every time I ordered something that cost extra she said "thats's extra" after the third time she said "that's extra" I politely stopped her and smiled and I said "I know. You don't have to keep saying that." She paused and didn't say it again. She took my order. I asked for green tea. Then i realized I wanted it to go instead so I asked for a Styrofoam to go cup. The older woman with the dirty apron who cleans tables said okay. As she brought me the cup she dropped the lid on the floor in front of me. Picked it up and handed to me with a smile on her face. I know, I should of left but..... I ordered a breakfast scramble with breakfast sausage, 1 egg and 2 egg whites with avocado and a side of sour cream. I also ordered fresh squeezed orange juice and a side of fruit. And 1/2 Belgian waffle. What I received instead of a breakfast was horribly scrambled eggs with unmelted cheese old avocado and no breakfast sausage. When I told Ms. puff about the mistake she realized she made the mistake when taking my order. The hash browns looked good so I opted for a side of breakfast sausage instead. I tried to eat the food I order, but there was absolutely no flavor. None. I don't even use pepper. I tried it today tho lol. Nothing helped them eggs. And to make matters worse the breakfast sausage that was brought to me was dangerously undercooked. I was so mad I was seething with anger. Only thing removed from the bill was the breakfast sausage even though I spilled my orange juice by accident.

It all started when one person in our group took out her phone to show a picture of her grandchild. The rude waiter came over and told her she wasn't allowed to use her phone in the restaurant! She wasn't talking, or messaging, she was just showing a photo. And....there were hardly any other customers there at the time! Then when we asked if we could get separate checks, he said 'no more than 4 checks'. That was fine, as we were 3 couples and one single. However, when it came time to pay the bill, the single person's check included someone else's food. She told the waiter she was leaving the amount for her own meal, which she did. She even included a tip. As we were leaving the waiter yelled at us that he could only give us 4 checks. I said 'that's all we asked for' but he insisted we asked for more. I asked him why he was being so rude to us, and he said WE were the ones who were rude! The guy was totally nuts. Someone thought he might be the owner but I don't know. He had an accent of some sort. Others in our group had experienced his rude behavior before. Anyway he's losing customers. We'll certainly never go back! I will mention that a second waiter (younger) who also helped us was very friendly and helpful. Update: after the owner's cynical response to my post, I noticed that he posted the following in more than one earlier review: "we have lately been hit with some fake reviews". Let me assure you mine is not a fake review!
