Friendly smiles upon entering and didn't have to wait too long for a Saturday afternoon (~15mins). Great service and delish sweet tea and burgers! The burgers reminded us of a backyard burger that your grandpa would grill up at a bbq and the juiciness was perfect. Our waitress recommended extra crispy bacon and the chefs definitely delivered! We really enjoyed our time at Shep's along with the chill vibe and will definitely make a stop back in next time we're in TX Side note- love the bathroom writing! Really positive stuff that made me smile

We drove here specifically to try Shep's from far north Fort Worth. Several friends have told us how amazing their food and atmosphere is. We were here on a Saturday afternoon and even though it was busy, the service was impeccable . Our waitress checked on us often and was very friendly. We started with the fried pickles on her recommendation . Those fried pickles are so good and full of flavor. We finished the entire basket. I had the Swiss mushroom burger, and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The bun is perfect and not too big and has a lot of great flavor in it itself. You could tell that the burger patty was not premade and it had so much flavor in it. We will definitely be back and bring friends with us the next time to try something different.

Oh wow! Love the burgers here. Fresh & good quality ingredients. My Oink oink moo burger was so tasty with bacon onions and lettuce; needs cheese next time. The sweet potato crinkle & truffle steak fries were delicious!!! A casual vibe with friendly and efficient staff. Definitely a local gem.

This place was recommended to me by some friends that we met at SALT. This is a really fun hang out bar and grill. I have to admit the food was a lot better than I had anticipated. The burger was delicious, the fries were really good, but those onion rings! The onion rings and a soda would make a great lunch. The onion rings are phenomenal. The service was typical bar food service. The lady came checked up on us once to refill drinks, give us a check and pretty much left us alone. The seating is a little bit different in the sense that they are just long tables with chairs, and everybody sits together. Great way to make new friends.

Suppose to be a wedge salad, it's not. But was a good average regular salad.

I have eaten at this place a couple of times and it is always good. We sat out on the patio because the weather was so nice. We really wished they had TV's outside, because football was on. Ha ha We started out with the cheese curds which were just ok. Really wish we had stuck to the fried mushrooms that we love. We also got the presbaugh burger. It had cream cheese and we got our jalapeños grilled. We ordered bacon on it, but they forgot to put it on. I also got a side of the 4 pepper sauce. Wow I will definitely try that burger next time. It had just the right amount of heat. We also upgraded to onion rings. They are HUGE!!! We shared, so it came out already halved and each 1/2 burger had 2 ginormous onion rings. It was a very very good burger. Our waiter wasn't so great at the beginning. I don't know if there was confusion about whose section we were in, but we had to flag down a waitress to order our appetizer. He was better after that. We will definitely be back.

Nice patio. Service was quick and no-nonsense. My friend and I had the triple grilled cheese with truffle oil and the grilled cheese that has bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeños on it...kinda tasted like a jalapeño popper. We traded halves so we could have both. I asked for the fries to be "extra crispy" and they were delicious.

Been here twice in the last week. This place is a covid friendly as it gets. Tons of space between seating! The food is pretty typical American bar food. Get the fried jalapeños with ranch and some hot chicken wings. Wash it down with a cold beer and let your troubles melt away. read more

Our first time here since they've switched over to a different restaurant name. Must say... their burgers are so delicious! They're big and tasty especially with sweet potato fries. We kept seeing other customers order the onion rings and will definitely be ordering on our next visit. Our server Alan (cool guy) was very attentive and helpful. Super thrilled about another Shep's enterprise! Huge fan of John Shepherd (sp?) since Big John's burgers! The ONLY thing holding me back from 5 stars is that the menu is weird. It's hard to navigate. The great news is that there is awesome food available, you just have to find it. They have gluten free, vegetarian, keto, etc options- so something for everyone. I've been three times and so far I've had veggie smothered fried, truffle fries, and honey sriracha wings. All were excellent!! As usual, they have the best service in town. We've had Tiffany as our server twice and she is awesome! Be sure you ask for her when you go! read more

Well so far I've only been here once. It's always packed so I figured it be really good I ordered a burger and I took one bite and that's all I could do it tasted like what you would imagine a hockey puck tasting like. Only come on Saturdays!!! Our favorite bar tender/server (angel) works the side bar most nights except Friday. Came on a Friday and the bar tender covering our patio section ignored us most of the time and when we did ask for drinks/food it took FOREVER. His name was Rick. Also our fav panini is the caprese. Love this spot. Great outdoor areas and indoor areas. Cool laid back vibe. Service is always better than average. We make the 30 minute drive just to come and enjoy the space. And they are dog friendly. Good is always better than average as well. All of this keeps is coming back. read more

Great place and great food. Their burger options and creations are great! The beer is ice cold and service is friendly. We also ordered some wings, and normally when I go somewhere I have to ask for the wings cooked well done, nobody wants that chewy barely cooked wing. They come up hot and perfectly cooked to our liking. We've tried a few burgers and my wife said the Chicago dog was one of the best she's had when going out. Amazing! This was our second visit and we can't say enough about the amazing food. It was early so my husband decided not to get a beer. But when he saw the frosty COLD mugs and the beer on tap he changed his mind. Jackie was fantastic at the front bar! What a great personality! She made us feel so welcomed. Rick was our first visit bartender and he was great also. We were lucky to stay long enough to see him again. The chicken salad was outrageous and so was the German Dog. I was here on Saturday. Sat outside on the patio. The service was excellent, we ordered fried jalapeños and onion rings, great batter. I had a burger salad but noshed on my husbands loaded fries with pulled pork, yumm. I don't think you can have a bad meal here. If you're looking for overpriced bar food served in a timely manner, not the place to go. Was my first visit and I'm a local to the city. Unfortunately 1st impressions from being seated, ordering and correct food being delivered were all a mess. Not fun with a hungry 8yr old. Probably won't return. But heard football Sundays are a good place to hang with your buddies. IDK. On the couch with friends at my house may be better and smarter choice. read more

Well, I will start out by saying that I loved Shep's on S. Main and my husband and I LOVED Saltwater. Now, for Shep's Scoreboard: 1st time, we went early March and it was good. 2nd time, went last week with a group of friends for lunch and not so good. Service was EXTREMELY slow. I got the patty melt and ate almost half, but just not what I had before at Shep's. It lacked flavor and was so dry. Orders came out wrong for a couple of other friends. One other took two bites of her burger and just couldn't eat it 3rd time: This evening((5/25) with my daughter and her friend. They were dropped off earlier and I was the DD. THE SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE!! I went inside to complain and get our tickets and John, the owner, started harassing me Said people were "cut-off". Ok, mister, I had my 2 drink limit and was coming to get tickets since no one ( our server happened to be his daughter‍) would check on us. There was a 20-30 minute wait each time something was ordered Another person brought us waters, but never said anything and nothing about our tickets or folks in the group that couldn't have any more drinks. Ok, why keep people that were ready to pay that had designated drivers sitting there for 30-40 minutes???? Oh, and to continue about being harassed, John followed me out to the table harassing me the whole way - just because I complained about slooooooow service. I will not be back. My family will not be back. BEWARE BEFORE YOU GO. Don't waste your time or money at this establishment. read more

The guy that's always at the counter on his computer had the girls around him and never said anything about the state of the tables but chatted them up. Waitress walked up and said "oh, do you want drink refills?" Well, yes. Our food hasn't been delivered and our glasses were empty......sighhhh They were out of pizza boxes so we took home 3 pizzas in 6 styrofoam boxes to take home a cook. Still soggy. Did we get a discount? No. Never returning

Husband ordered hot garlic boneless wings with blue cheese. He really liked it. Said the blue cheese was homemade. We ordered a half & half pizza - the Pearl and I Meat. So good!! Let's not forget the drinks. Had my usual drink but if you're a beer drinker, this is your place! Our waitress was very sweet and checked on us repeatedly. No pics unfortunately- we were tired.

I created this account to protect myself and my family. This owner is the town trash and most of this town has been intimated and bullied by this man. Big John he calls himself. He is anything but big when it comes to morality. He has swindled businesses and stole from business partners enough to get restraining orders and a court date. He will lie to public faces and use his "stature" to fear people into not talking. We are getting tired of it. Him deleting his bad reviews on his Facebook business page is a joke and we are speaking up. We will boycott this rat and his business. Tried Shep's in Weatherford and overall had a good experience. The outdoor patio is a great spot to sit and relax, especially with nice weather -- definitely a highlight. Service was solid too -- our waitress was attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly. The burger I had was just okay, nothing bad but not a standout. That said, the menu looked really good with a lot of options, so I'd be interested in going back and trying something different. Huge Onion Rings(big enough to wear as a bracelet), both times I've eaten there. Burgers with unique names(look at the menus and see how many different ones). Cool atmosphere, lots of sports memorabilia everywhere, too. I like eating in the big area with the huge screen playing whatever sport is happening. read more

My son's favorite burger - Shep's is family friendly, has great food and a great staff & owner. They always make you feel at home - the sweet potato fries and onion rings are the bomb too. Parking is tight but it is pretty accessible most of the time and have more in back if needed. read more
