I'm a local and have given this place 3 tries. The food is basic and unseasoned. It's not good. Wait staff is very nice. I'm sure the drinks are good ...because the atmosphere to be boozy is good. Just don't eat here. Nasty. read more

Food was great, server was nice, all the staff were super friendly. Too much though! We ordered and ate an appetizer, so we could not finish our burgers. The chips were too crispy for mine or my families taste. But the fries, so good! Will put this in our rotation for when we do eat out. read more

Just had Shep's for lunch and definitely 5 stars worth. Had the pulled pork fries and they were delicious. Hubby had the Chewbacca burger and while he had regrets about getting it, he ate the whole 16oz burger and fries. Would def come back for more. read more

There is NO happy hour here and the liquor drinks are way overpriced! The bartenders never wash their hands and we even saw one use his hands to get bitters out of a jar! UGGH! The food is good and reasonably priced, but they need to improve the bar experience! read more

Ehhhhh I had the BLT add egg and avocado... Not only was my avocado forgotten but it was just so messy! You can tell they just threw it together- avocados are brown - no mayo,7 pieces of bacon, they left the lettuce wet so the bread was wet and soggy and barely toasted -I use to love the sandwich over at the old location - eeek I'll just stick with the fried onion rings and fried mushrooms-as far as this new location, it's janky-The back two rooms that are supposed to look like bars actually look like a bingo hall lol read more

This place is a mess. The decor is horrible, especially in the Stars room. I feel like I am in a school gymnasium trying to eat. The music is way too loud to even enjoy a conversation. The owner(John) is so rude to his employees. We seen him talking to his female staff like they are children. They also have managers that don't know anything about running a restaurant correctly. They sell craft beer without any knowledge of crafts beers. We will not be back to this establishment because of the management and the owners. read more

Boy, do I have a rant for you guys. Let me start by saying I have been going to Sheps place for years and Shep's Scoreboard since it opened. I have recommended the place to multiple people and its always been a top choice when brunch suggestions are being thrown around. I always loved it because they not only are one of the few locally owened places in town but they let me bring my service dog, Mika, in to watch friends play pool. I walked in the front door tonight looking forward to supporting a local business after the virus shut most of us down and a friendly game of pool. I didn't think anything of my dog being with me as it has never been an issue before. We walked towards the bar on the far left to let the bartender know we would be in the back room. I was stopped by John (the owner) about two feet away from the bar. I cheerfully said "hi how are you?!" He then said "Yeah you need to go that way" while extending his arm to the patio door. I replied "It's okay shes a service dog. We just wanted to let the bar know we'd be in the back. Its never been an issue before" to which he replied "I NEED to see her paperwork". Now this has never happened to me before and I am also in the service industry, where we are trained that you CAN NOT ask for proof. There are certain questions you can ask but never force someone with a disability to provide proof. I asked him if he was allowed to demand this because I thought that maybe after Corona the rules had changed and I did not have her paperwork on me. He replied with "I don't care i have never allowed an animal in my establishments without proof, and you have never had her in here with me here!" This is not true. Like I said, we have been going there since they opened, sometimes multiple times a week. I was completely taken aback. I didnt want to cause any problems so i looked at my friend and said "It's okay let's just go somewhere else " then proceeded to turn around to go back out the way we came. He was BLOCKING THE DOORWAY with his SIX FOOT FIVE stature. Arms out. Trying to make us go out the back side way. I asked him to move and he started shoving us arms forward. I ducked under is right arm and got passed but then he stuck his leg out so my dog was stuck. She's a sweet,  well trained service animal. She had no idea what to do with a huge human blocking her way to me. She hopped over his leg and proceeded to follow me out the front door. I will NEVER be going back there again. I can believe the hostility and aggression that was shown to us. Im hurt and offended. Ive been a loyal customer for years. I understand that times are hard for every business right now and everyone is under a lot of pressure. But you certainly don't take it out on the people supporting you. And you should NEVER block a customer from leaving when you refused them service. I want to see things from his point of view but at this point I am at a loss for words. Shame. read more

A solid mix of the entertaining atmosphere of a sports bar mixed with the family oriented atmosphere of Shep's Place that we all know and love. The location is excellent. John & Jenn are doing a phenomenal job at continuing pour into the community. Our server Kyla was really sweet and efficient. First time here and I thought this was a great not so little sports bar. Appetizers were awesome! And we could split the 1 appetizer with 2 choices! The burgers were so filling , we only could eat 1/2 of them. We were also able to sample the local beer before ordering one. Will definitely be coming back ! read more

They're still transitioning some of the stuff from Shep's Place. They still don't have the full beer menu, but the food menu is has all of the burgers and that's a plus. I didn't give it my usual 5 stars because it's still transitioning and the burgers weren't as good as they used to be. But that's going to take some time I suppose. Just not what we expected. We visit Shep's Place often and are big fans. Shep's Scoreboard service wasn't good, blue cheese philly tastes like someone used way to much salt, meat to crispy like bacon. Although I lIked the fry's would of been better just plane instead of chicken and way to much cheese. Rating it a three star with hopes things will improve and quality of Shep's Place. I've always had a good time and good food w cold drinks. The beer is super cold, which is nice in the heat of Texas summers. They have really branched out w the live music and have totally utilized a lot of wasted space with pool tables and dart boards. I don't usually post on yelp because I feel it's kinda unfair. All it takes is one group of people to get together and bad mouth a business and they really have zero proof those people even visited the establishment, just something to keep in mind. Anyways I think the owners do a good job and I'll Say I wouldn't want their job. This place was better in the other location. We waited to get drink orders in for a good 10 min. We finally ordered our appetizer and the meal at the same time because we could tell service would be slow. My mother in law ordered a red beer with salt and a lime and our waiter brought her a root beer. No big deal, just a misunderstanding. I had ordered fried mushrooms, and when I finally asked about them to make sure he didn't forget to put them in he said "I'll check." Then he came back and said they should be coming. 5 min after that the food came out (missing several things) and I told them to cancel the appetizer since we already had our food. I also asked for some Mayo and onion for my burger. I then waited 10 MINUTES for someone to walk their a$$ back to the kitchen and get me 2 things you don't even have to cook? Wtf! I finally walked back up to the kitchen window and when I asked someone he said "oh yeah I was on my way up there." And I asked if could have them now he said "I'll be right there" and turned around... then he walks right past me and heads the the table with the stuff I need for my meal.? Ugh.
