The prices on Yelp are outdated. The 'three egg' Green Breakfast was $19.99, and gluten-free toast was an additional $2.99. Also, there was one scrambled egg on my plate, not three (I'm guessing that's why this place defaults to scrambled eggs; it's hard to skimp on 3 sunny-side ups). Egg prices are very high right now, but $23 for that breakfast was silly. NO CASH payments here. No plastic/no Apple Pay, no food. We prefer to pay cash, so that's another disincentive for us to eat here. The food was mediocre (skip the 'lemonade'; the OJ is not fresh either). The service was remarkably quick, though, and a steady stream of tourists keep this place buzzing. There is plenty of outdoor seating. read more

So glad we stopped here on one of our last days in Miami. The coffee was the best we had on our trip, and we enjoyed the breakfast foods we had as well. The atmosphere inside is like a small bookshop. The man running the counter (Valentin I think?) was great as well. The food: My banana nut muffin was fresh and delicious, but the real winner was the Ferrero Rocher cake. It was my favorite breakfast item I had all week as it tasted exactly like the chocolate candy we know and love. Get this if you see it in the case! My wifes ham/cheese croissant was fantastic as well. Overall, we loved the atmosphere, the coffee, and the food at this spot. We are thinking of coming back tomorrow! read more

Went to Miami for summer vacation. And to say the least-- there isn't much cute aesthetically pleasing coffee shops. I found Shepherd Artisan walking from the beach. It is in a good location. However, the baristas were not welcoming, they clearly had friends there. In addition, the drinks were basic and not special at all. This is the kind of place that gets high ratings from tourists who are just having a good time and aren't paying attention. I appreciate the selections, but they need to work on the food and drinks. The rugelach was terrible. I forgive them for trying to pass off Pepperidge Farm cookies as their own because I love the Pepperidge Farm Brussels cookie, but it was totally stale. I saw them make the smoothie. It was 90% ice, with minimal fruit and juice. I came to Miami looking for fresh tropical fruit flavors; what I got was really watered down. I suggest more fruit/juice, add milk and protein powder, less ice. read more

The first time can truly be a wonderful surprise and that's the exact feeling we had after visiting Shepherd's Artisan Coffee. During our mini staycation, this past weekend, we found ourselves driving up and down South Beach, taking in all the scenery had to offer. It was a very busy Saturday afternoon. (Not unusual at all, just unusual for what the world is experiencing right now.) We'd had a long night hanging out and enjoying ourselves and by the time we got down there we needed something sweet, enjoyable and would satisfy our need for more energy. I wanted coffee. LOL. Which, is completely different for me but I do surprise myself at times. I'm so glad we spotted this shop while driving by and were able to find parking in a lot a few feet away from the entrance. After taking a look at their menu I decided to try their iced chai latte. If you like latte's you've got to try this one. It was everything, so delicious, and didn't need a thing added to it. I also ordered a croissant to go with it which was a perfect pair. The croissant was buttery and flaky, just the way i like it. Hubby ordered an iced coffee to which he added some caramel drizzle and a slice of cheesecake to pair. They offer gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, and vegan items. They have an all-day breakfast menu, hot drinks, iced drinks, sandwiches, and salads. The service was fast and friendly and definitely welcoming. read more

I really enjoyed my iced pistachio latte with macadamia milk. Small was a good size and had 2 espresso shots. Oat, soy, and almond milk was also available. Service was friendly and very patient. The lady in front of me had a long drawn out order and the cashier was kind and smiling the whole time. My latte came out layered which looked cute, just give it a stir to mix in the layers before you drink. They use Monin syrups and have a small indoor and outdoor seating area. Shepherd's is a solid place to grab and iced mocha or latte, but I'd definitely skip the yogurt parfait and banana bread. When I stopped by before 8am on Sunday, the line to order was almost to the door. However, it moved fast and my iced mocha was surprisingly ready in no time. It had just the right amount of espresso to milk, as well as chocolate sauce. Also tried some of the iced latte, which I also enjoyed. The yogurt parfait was a no go. Had way too much granola, which was soggy. The fruit also didn't look as fresh, although it was mentioned that it was made the night before. The banana bread was also not good, tasting a tad stale. Service was friendly. The place is rather cozy, with some tables both inside and outside. In addition to coffee and pastries, Shepherd's also serves breakfast all day, salads, sandwiches, etc. If you are in the area, definitely check out Shepherd's for their coffee! read more
