So glad that Sher Punjab reopened in North Quincy!! We have missed all their delicious dishes from the mustard lamb chops to the Dahl ! We especially love the buffet on weekends and he made it work in this smaller restaurant restaurant, the owners go out of their way to make sure you have an extra extraordinary experience and delicious food!

This is a really good Indian restaurant. The food was great. That service was excellent. The prices were good. Plenty of parking. If we ask for spicy it was spicy. And the the staff answered our questions and even made a dish that wasn't on the menu. I would really recommend this restaurant and we'll definitely go back. Free papad as well. It was great.

Food: the taste of the food is genuinely phenomenal. 1.) The goat curry was fresh, and I typically have an issue with the Gameyness of goat but they did a great job at removing it and that typically goes hand in hand with how fresh it is. 2.) The Chicken Tikka Masala, also delicious and youre able to taste the subtle tomato undertones well. Its typically a pretty rich curry but they have a great balance here with the tartness from the tomatoes 3.) Paneer Kadhai, first time trying it and there will definitely be a second and beyond! First time having a cheese curry and my oh my was it delicious. Its a slightly sweet curry, and balances well with its savory side. 4.) Dal Makhai, first time trying this lentil curry and it was a great curry to balance out the other rich curries we've had. Definitely tasted healthy and light, and will be for sure mixing that in to our curry spread in the future! 5.) Gobi Curry! Unlike the other curries we are used to, this cauliflower curry had a different blend of spices that was tasty in its own right! And then of course the Naan! This has hands down one of the tastier garlic Naan's I've ever had. Its fluffy on the inside and crispy on the out. Ripping into it and seeing how fluffy it was was a great experience. And who can forget the Mango Lassi. Can never go wrong with this delicious and decadent yogurt drink. Service: the service is absolutely phenomenal. The staff were always tentative and even talked to us enthusiastically about all of our questions and even threw in a Mango lassi freebie! Atmosphere: the inside of the restaurant is really quaint and modern! A tad small but its perfect for smaller parties! Price Quantity/Quality: We had the Lunch buffet for 17.95$ with free choice of garlic or regular Naan bread basket. And all the curries we've had came with the buffet. Genuinely great price to quality/quantity ratio!

I came here for dinner over the weekend with some friends after missing Indian food for a veeerrryyyy long time. It was not super crowded at the time we were there so we were seated right away which was nice. It took us some time to decide what we wanted and ended up splitting multiple different dishes. We were feeling adventurous and asked for all our food's spice level to be the most spicy. The samosa chaat was more watery than I have had at other Indian restaurants but was overall okay. It was a lot spicier than we anticipated so we asked for the other dishes to be adjusted to medium spice. The baingan bharta and garlic naan were really good. The naan was very flaky versus doughy too. The chicken biryani was also okay and was more of a vegetable pulao with chicken rather than a proper biryani. All things considered, this absolutely satisfied my craving for Indian food!

Sher-A-Punjab is my new favorite Indian restaurant in Quincy !! They're Naan is HUGE and full of flavor! Their garlic chicken and Butter Chicken are my favorite! I love how you can choose the spice level and it truly matches! I can't wait to try their buffet soon !

Ordered takeout and the online ordering service was nice as it gave updates on the status of the meal. The portion sizes for lunch meals were good. The butter chicken was by far my favorite as it was flavorful and had a decent amount of chicken. The shrimp briyani in basmati rice with veggie was also flavorful. The garlic and chicken Naan bread wasn't the best as it was a little thin and dry and I've had others that were better.

Apparently prices have changed.but not online nor can they share a printed copy of the menu with new prices. So you pay more@pickup!

Just pathetic! My experience @Sher-A-Punjab has gone from 4star to no star in the last 9months, wonder if the management changed or its something else. Firsty, they have apparently changed their prices on the menu, but prices online on their website online ordering menu have not changed and nor can they share a printed copy of the menu with the revised prices. So you end up paying more when you go to pickup your takeout order. And then the food, absolutely terrible. We had to throw part of it away since it tasted old, was very oily and upset our stomach. The vegetable samosas appeared to be refried and too oily. The Malai koftas tasted old, sour, low on spices and oily. The lamb chops were the worst. Burnt with bones charred to carbon! Hardly had any meat left and they just packaged it and gave it to me. Just lack of basic ethics! (See the pics)

We had also bought jumbo shrimp from Costco, with heads to be the main course. (Her favorite!) This was an issue. Apparently these were disgusting and needed to be cleaned. There were so many shrimp. I'd slept exactly 1 hours the night b4 because my in-laws were jetlagged and wandering around the house and backyard at 3am. I'd also worked a full day. So I suggested take out for the main. It was unpopular, however there was no way I was letting MIL clean shrimp by herself for hours and no way I was spending the next two hours of my life helping her do it after working a full day and sleeping 1 hour. To give my husband credit, he researched this place extensively. We ordered the saag chicken, which was exceptional. It stood up to the other dishes on the table. (I have not ordered from an Indian restaurant in the Boston area that comes close to how good this spot was. My in-laws would have complained about every other spot. They liked this one.) Instead they thought it was great, and they are so difficult to please. Pray for me, tomorrow I gut perfectly lovely jumbo shrimp for their black vein and remove the head. (My husband is the one who bought these and paid extra for the head. He is doing extensive yard work involving a lot of heavy lifting, otherwise he'd be in charge of this job. I will also not be helping him, as was planned so he will suffer) Suffice it to say, 10/10 would recommend. Planning on adding it to my regular rotation. It will be approved by your Indian in-laws. (Also don't buy fancy shrimp for them!)

Our waiter was super nice, the heater wasn't working so he put us at a table right next to their space heater, which was thoughtful. We went during the week and were seated right away. They have a vegetarian dinner for 2 special which was perfect for sharing for our family of 4. It came with papads, 2 curries, rice, naan, and gulab jamun. Our food came out quick and flavorful. I've definitely had more authentic Indian food, but this was good quality with a diverse variety of North Indian options. The naans were soft and fluffy, the curries (malai kofta and saag channa) were the right amount of spicy, and the portions were worth the price. I'd recommend coming here if you're craving Indian food and are in the area.

My guess as to why this place doesn't get the same recognition as other restaurants is because it is Indian food. The food at Tiranga is all authentic Indian street food. Which means that if you're comparing it to a standard Indian place you're going to be disappointed. But if you go expecting to get an authentic sandwich, the type you get on the streets of Bombay, along with Maggi ketchup, this is your place. Their live Pani Puri is also an authentic experience. The service was great and the ambiance is also good. It's a small place so it may not be good for large groups. But they are open late and will satisfy the craving for a late night spicy snack. This place is seriously underrated and a gem. Maybe one day we'll come around to giving Indian cuisine more respect, and when that day comes, I have no doubt that Tiranga will get some awards.

The ambience is clean and comfortable. The food is terrific! I have dined here many times with many friends and coworkers. When we're indecisive about where we want to go this place is always a top choice. I have tried many dishes here and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. In all honesty, there may have been some flavor combinations that I didn't like her. Perhaps a dish was too spicy, but that is more a personal preference than a statement about the quality of the food. I tend to like heat so I do like spiciness. However, when I ask for a little spice, my understanding of what constitutes a little spice is not always the same as the chefs. Sometimes I think my face will catch fire so I have to say please just only use mild spice. Lol. One of my go to dishes is chicken, tiki masala, butter, chicken, garlic, vegetable, samosas, and butter nann soft leavened northern Indian flatbread. It is simply delicious to dip pieces of this into the tiki masala sauce. Also delicious is the mango lassi. I have not tried this sweet creamy ice cold refreshing beverage you don't know what you're missing! The mango lassi is made with fresh mango, plain yogurt, a little bit of cream or milk, and a little bit of sweetener and a sprinkle of cardamom. It is highly addictive. I have on many occasions ordered a mango lassi to go with a side order of just a cup of ice. I like my mango lassi is super icy and cold. The vegetable samosas are so enjoyable that my family often orders several to go for a nighttime snack. Samosas are crispy, fried Indian pastries filled with a spiced savory mixture mashed potatoes, peas, ginger, green chilies, and spices like cumin, coriander, and garam masala. All in all, the Turmeric House is wonderful.
