Stayed here for the Midwest International Band & Orchestra Conference. The location is excellent. The staff were professional and friendly. The location was very clean. The water temperature was perfect but the tub/shower was a little slow to drain in my room. The closet was very large with ample hangers for clothes. The bed was comfortable enough with plenty of pillows. The walls did appear rather thin though so I would bring a sound machine to help drowned out the noise. Especially if you have a room closer to the elevator like I did. Being here near Christmas allowed us to see so many beautiful decorations around the hotel. I'd certainly stay here again in the future if in the area.

I would say my stay here was overall pretty good. I reserved via Costco travel which included the $30 amenities fee. They do give you $15 daily to spend on food and beverages which was nice to use on coffee and some breakfast stuff. It is use it or lose it though so if you don't spend it, it goes to waste. I really liked the location and we ended up getting a room by the river. They also held our bags for us before and after check out so they was a win. Overall it was a decent hotel, not the best I've stayed at but it had everything that I needed for my stay in Chicago at a very reasonable price.

    Good Morning!

Thank You Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk for a wonderful stay. This Hotel Hosted our 2026 - American Occupational Health Conference; - I can't offer anything but praise for this Marriott Brand Hotel - Thank You! - Customer Service - Particularly from every one of the "Lead Doormen" working the Hotel was "On Point" - Staff in the Hotel, especially the Front Door Team - were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and willing to ensure guest satisfaction. Thank you all for extending me such hospitality. Housekeeping was excellent and was provided daily, which is a rarity these days. I arrived to immediately find the extra foam pillows which I had requested. Internet was lighting fast and modern and remained operating - uninterrupted through my entire stay. I was really amazed at the quality of my room; - The room was clean and in order; - In room entertainment system was modern and offered quite many selections and connections. Staying in a major City - such as a Chicago can be pricey - But, Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk - delivered an A+ product. Amazing Location - In the center of EVERYTHING - Again - My thanks to the amazing Doorman Team. A+

Stayed at the Sheraton Grand for three nights as I was attending a conference a few blocks up at the Hyatt. The hotel is on the older side, you can tell from the exterior. Our room was spacious, but also dated and the carpet was sticky feeling. Nice view of the river and the tall buildings in room 818. They charged me $50 plus all the taxes associated with it for an early check in before 4pm, which the front desk associate said was the policy. A little nickel and diming here IMO. If you have the room available, why not give us the courtesy? There's also a $30 daily resort fee which includes a $15 food and beverage credit and two tickets per day for two museums I never went to. Located next to Riverwalk and hotels galore. Any independent restaurants or touristy spots were at least 1/2 mile away.

This is the only hotel in Chicago that is bullet proof! I learned that while taking a river boat tour. This is a standard business hotel. With many business minded people bustling through daily. When we arrived it was busy but they have a designated area for Marriot members with status. We were checked in quickly. We were upgraded to the 34th floor. This is a busy hotel so a wait for the elevator is guaranteed but they move surprisingly fast. Upon check in we received a daily beverage credit and free tickets to the museum. We really enjoyed using our daily credit to order room service. Although not the best breakfast food ( they have these weird Halloween colored potato's) The hotel itself is massive. With a bar and restaurant on the first floor. There is a breakfast restaurant one floor below and on the Riverwalk another place to eat. The food adjacent to the river walk isn't the best it reminds me of fast food. The breakfast buffet is way better than the room service food. They make customized omelette s and everything. We regretted not going to the restaurant the first day. The location of this hotel is perfect it's right by the river walk and miracle mile. You can't beat the location. The staff are all very nice and the place is kept clean. I would stay here again next time in town.

We made a quick two-day trip to Chicago this week and chose the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk for its unbeatable location. I've been to this hotel several times for conferences, but this was my first personal stay. While flying to Chicago, I tried to book a traditional room on the Marriott app. Just as I was confirming, I got an error: "We weren't able to hold this room." A call to Marriott confirmed the issue--likely a case of the app showing availability when none existed. So, I booked a slightly pricier river-view, club level room, and the reservation went through without a hitch. At check-in, I mentioned the glitch to the front desk. Without hesitation, they issued a credit for the price difference. That kind of service makes a lasting impression. Our room was spacious, spotless, and the river view was beautiful--especially at night. On Wednesday, we lucked out with a front-row view of fireworks over the river. Pretty memorable. That said, I still get irked by the $30 destination fee, especially with my high Marriott status. At least $15 of it is a daily credit for on-property dining. The Club Lounge on the 33rd floor is roomy and has a solid breakfast spread. But don't expect much at night--they've scaled back to just cheese and veggies for over a year now. No hot food in the evening, which feels like a missed opportunity. We had a great quick meal at Shula's Steakhouse in the lobby on our first night. Unfortunately, it was closed for a private event the next evening, so we opted for room service. Let's just say it's not the old-school room service of years past. Food now arrives in plastic containers in a bag. For the price, the quality was meh--maybe a 2.5 out of 5. The Italian salad was especially disappointing, and we ended up asking that it be taken off the bill. All in all, still a solid stay thanks to the location, the view, and a front desk that knows how to take care of guests.

The hotel can't be beat for location, it's right next to the river, and the Navy Pier is but a few blocks away. A Whole Foods store is but a very short walk. The lobby is beautiful, but the room was due to be revamped. Connecting to the Internet was miserable. We are Marriott-Bonvoy members and the desk clerk confirmed our membership number & told us we were given free Internet. Once in the room, I tried to connect on the internet, doing what was recommended. I could not link on. So , I called the front desk & eventually get directed a few times until I get customer service tech in India. WTF. What a stressor during a vacation. The tech tells me that I have to re-register an account, so now I have two accounts...having to generate a user name and password. So frustrating. We did enjoy the tasty, but expensive, buffet breakfast.

Great location, and check in smooth with MOSE. Extra water bottles given at check-in for Marriott Elite guests. Plus, room upgrade to 24th floor. Kind of a dated room. The toilet was the shortest that I have encountered. There is river access to the boardwalk directly from the hotel. The TV had a good choice of channels. Breakfast was good, pricey, but good!

Stayed at the Sheraton while working at McCormick Place. Nice hotel, close to restaurants and good downtown Chicago sites. The room did not have a refrigerator, which was disappointing. Reasonably close to the loop train station for ease of getting around.

Stayed here for a conference. Great location close to just about everything. My husband and I both has allergy type issues and then we saw this in the closet. Advised front desk staff not to put anyone else in the room until the determined the cause.

Central hotel by the Riverwalk. It is central to anything in the Northside of Chicago. Well maintained. Rooms are clean and modern. Great views of the river. There is a restaurant and cafe on the bottom floor, but rates are a bit inflated. Please come and creat your own experience.

    Yummy apps at the bar.

Beautiful huge lobby with 2 full restaurants / bars. Massive conference area. Overall I had a very nice time staying here. The lobby area and restaurants/bar areas were modern and quite stylish. Food was also excellent as was the staff. The hotel is right on the river with access to a river walk. The rooms were a bit outdated, but clean, comfortable, and quiet. Also beautiful views of the city. My only complaint is the $30 daily destination charge. Which seems like a bit of a scam. You do get a $15 credit at the restaurants and some other nice perks. But if you don't want it, why do I have to pay for it? Seems like a cash grab, but who knows. Otherwise, it's an impressive location and I enjoyed my stay very much.

This hotel was located within the loop near the river, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are basic and small. We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.

I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . Might choose the park view next time. I'd also recommend not facing the river as there was lots of honking/noise. -the room layout was awkward. They have this huge desk between the bed and tv. The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.
