I can't say enough good things about this place! We had biscuits and gravy, and they were absolutely stellar. The portions were generous and the service very quick, especially since they were swamped! I would highly recommend this place if you're passing through Casper. Took my friend Glenn West there this morning. I had an omelet with ham & sausage with hash browns and toast and a side of gravy and bacon. Was awesome and I was stuffed due to the big portions. Glenn had the chicken fried steak with 2 eggs over easy and hash browns and 1 blueberry pancake. He said it was awesome and he couldn't finish it all so asked for a box and packed it up. My husband is from Casper but we now live in Tn. When we come visit it is my FAVORITE place to go. I literally beg to go. The pancakes are the best I've ever had, even days later and cold after being in the fridge they are delicious. Sherri is hands down the sweetest, she always has a smile on her face and greets everyone like they are family. The entire staff was amazing and so nice and it's just a wonderful place to go. Wow! Our family uses Yelp to find places to eat as we travel. Usually there is one place that stands out. That place is Sherri's. I had the cabbage rolls, and they were awesome. The bread was all homemade and delicious. The place was full, which is no surprise given the quality of the food. We ordered a slice of rhubarb pie, and our kind server offered us some bread pudding. We LOVE Sherrie's Place! It is a great little diner that we have enjoyed in the downtown area since our college years (10+ years). There is a whole parking lot on the same block as the diner (my 2 year old handles the walk just fine). Big portions, delicious REAL FOOD. It is a cozy little place, so you may wait a bit for a table but again, I have a toddler that can handle it, so be patient and take in the atmosphere:) See you there!! read more

A lot of the locals rave about this place, they don't mention the weird smell, I have been there three times and it always smelled weird, like something died and was decomposing in grease. I got the cinnamon french toast which was good and another time I got the biscuits and gravy, I couldn't eat it because I couldn't get past the smell. If this is Casper's best, then I am not impressed. Will not be back until the smell problem is taken care of read more

Best breakfast in town!! All though they have out grown the building, Sherries place is awesome and worth the tight squeeze! Service is always friendly and fast, food is homemade from scratch daily, prices are low considering the amount of food you get. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits are huge, fluffy and soo good. The gravy is just like Momma used to make, you could be perfectly happy eating just a bowl of it alone. As a Casper local I have been going to Sherrie's place since I was a little girl! This is a nice cozy atmosphere were many locals go on a regular basis. The staff takes the time to get to know you. This is a busy restaurant which at often times seems very crowded but that just adds to the experience. If you go mid week it is usually not as busy. I reccomend going on a Friday though as they have $1.00 dessert day. Which is awesome as they make excellent desserts (this is coming from a very experienced baker) . They also have bread pudding that is to die for. Overall Sherrie's Place is a down home locals place to eat! The parking can be tough at times and some days there can be a fairly long wait (which is worth it). Sherrie's Place is a must try! read more

We stopped in for breakfast this week after receiving numerous recommendations from locals. The food was great! The atmosphere is not unlike any local diner. You come in and sit where you find a spot. The ladies serving and taking orders are constantly walking around checking on all the customers to ensure they have what they need. My coffee cup never emptied. We are going there again tomorrow for breakfast before we leave town. You will see us among the regulars when we move to Casper. read more

With the truck broke down and being repaired across the street I ducked in for cups of coffee, to go. We wanted breakfast but had two small dogs with us. A while later, we were even more hungry so I went back in to see about breakfast to go. The owner asked if I'd like to come in for a meal and upon hearing my tale, offered a shady spot next to the restaurant for the dogs and a booth where we could watch them. Without asking she gave them a bowl of water and one by one the employees went out to pet the pups. They offered some bacon bits and the dogs were in heaven. Our food was good, too, but the thoughtfulness and service were the best. read more

Went here based on yelp reviews while on long drive. I gave an extra star for the incredible rolls and the service which was warm, friendly and totally loving of my toddler man (Sherrie brought out crayons, and a Sesame Street book with instructions that it was okay if he tore it up a bit since it was already pretty beaten up). Unfortunately, my tot didn't like his food which made for a difficult drive cause we had to find something else later instead of him munching on leftovers . Mine was okay -- got the chicken fried steak, which I don't get often so it's hard to say if it was better than anywhere else around. They offered fruit or cottage cheese instead of the mashed potatoes or fries. Got the fruit which was orange slices and pineapple. Iceburg lettuce was a bit wilty on the edges. Veggies in these lands are often questionable so I didn't hold it against them. My hubby seemed to like his burger but said it wasn't anything special. Would've been nice to get breakfast stuff all day but seems they stop serving it at 11am. If we drive through town early enough next time, we *might* stop, but won't for lunch. read more

My family and I happened upon this place yesterday before flying back to Texas. All I can say is..... wow! Everything was homemade and delicious. The yeast rolls were fresh out of the oven and at least 4 inches tall. I had the hamburger steak with sautéed onions and loved every bite. Others at the table enjoyed grilled chicken, hamburgers and an old fashioned grilled cheese sandwich with fries. All received rave reviews. We ended the meal with a slice of rhubarb pie a la mode. It was still warm from the oven. I haven't had pie this good since my grandma passed away. If you are ever in the area, you must eat at Sherrie's Place. FYI- the are only open for breakfast and lunch. Closed by 2pm. Dress and atmosphere are very casual. read more
