Which is a great experience. Lots of knowledge and help when buying products. A couple years ago I went to the Westfield store on 32 and the staff was not helpful. I gave them another shot today and it confirmed I will not shop here again. It's a waste of time. They don't know their product and they don't really know how to help their customers. It's unfortunate because it's closer for me but due to the poor service and lack of product info from staff I'm headed to the Noblesville store.

Russell was very helpful. I was looking at gardening boots, but they didn't have my size. Russell called their other store and was able to offer some options. He was engaging and friendly. The store offers an array of grills, power tools, paints and general hardware supplies. The shelves are remarkably well organized and neat. Many shelves were empty as I assume they are preparing for spring inventory. Many items were on clearance including Yetis so there are some great deals. In the entry alcove is a fascinating history of the hardware store's evolution. The history dates back to at least 1889 when the store was located at 110 West Main Street in Carmel. The store has been owned by four families start with O. W. Nutt prior to 1889. Steve White bought the store in 1984 and built the current location on Rangeline Road in 1989. I love that someone took the time to capture the history. There's plenty of parking in their private lot. You can only enter or exit going north in Rangeline, but the roundabouts make going in the right direction easy.

There is a small parking lot in front of the store. On Friday, we ordered paint by phone to pick up curbside for a weekend project. The clerk that helped me out, was super friendly. I told him what color I wanted and he help us with which formulation to get. I was able to pay over the phone and the paint was ready to pick up in 15 minutes. Getting product was easy and I didn't even have to go in the store. They even mixed it for me! The paint, as always, is high quality. Colors are exact. They make my DYI projects easy and rewarding. There were four customers waiting to be helped. I generally know my way around the store and was going to look at some mis-tints when I was rudely told "you can't be back here!" Well the tens of times I've been in that exact area had told me otherwise. Additionally there was no sign that said employees only. I waited a few minutes to be helped and none of the other customers were helped. Needless to say, I will be taking my business across the street to Sherwin Williams or another PPG.
