I am beyond frustrated with this store. For YEARS I have been receiving nonstop phone calls from this location regarding a company I have not worked for in well over 15 years. I have repeatedly asked to be removed as a contact, yet the calls continue -- sometimes five calls back-to-back during my workday, completely disrupting my job. When I tell the caller I haven't been affiliated with that company in nearly 17 years, I am told, "You need to call your rep to be removed." Excuse me -- why would I have a rep if I haven't worked there in almost two decades? This is not only unprofessional but shows an alarming disregard for basic customer courtesy and privacy. My home built by Taylor Morrison uses Sherwin William's paint and I was told to go there to buy more paint for touch ups. I was also given a coupon for a Free Gallon of Interior or Exterior Paint. I was told to buy SW-7029 Promar 200 Flat paint. I decided to go to this store on Labor Day, 1230 pm. I arrived and I saw a sign that says they are closing early at 1pm. I wait in line and there's one customer ahead of me, Employee didn't say hi to me for a good 5 minutes until he needed to walk past me; then he told me he would be with me shortly. I waited another 5 minutes until he finished with the customer in front of me. I approach and inform him that I am in need of the paint I was in need of for touch ups used by my builder and that I had a coupon for a free gallon of paint I was interested in redeeming. Without looking at the coupon he goes off on a rant about how not all coupons will work with the promo they have running, I'll have the pay the taxes on it so it's not "free", etc; I show him the coupon and he looked confused. He asks which paint and I inform him of the information I was given by my builder, he scoffs and says that I didn't get the right info and I needed the brand name of the paint used. I informed him that they used Sherwin Williams to which he asked which brand, I say Sherwin Williams; and instead of clarifying that there are sub brands within Sherwin Williams, he just looked annoyed. He tells me that the coupon I have also doesn't qualify for the paint I need as it's the Pro Version, and the coupon doesn't cover it. At this point, I was not only irritated by his behavior but also angered that he is making me feel as if I should know what he is talking about; Not everyone works with paint and construction. It just seemed like this employee was annoyed, impatient, and needs more training on customer service. I decided to not purchase anything from this store as I felt this employee didn't really want to help, be at work, or maybe trying to rush out of work. I decided to drive the 10 minutes to the Sherwin Williams store in Mission Viejo instead. I was able to prove that the guy at the Lake Forest store didn't want to help and was being a smart ass because I was in and out of the Mission Viejo store within 10 minutes. I was able to get my free gallon of paint redeemed by using the same coupon as well as buy two other ones I needed. read more

Worst costumer service!!! I was told is Sunday hen I asked for help. I had the number of the color and just need it to order, I interrupted this guys conversation that was going on for the last 15 minutes to ask if I could get the paint, he didn't even care and continue talking. This place sucks, your employee is the worst and give no fucks about selling. read more

My husband and I purchased paint for the interior of our home 2 1/2 years ago. For touchup purposes we had contacted the store about a month ago and spoke with Emilie to confirm that our information was in the system and confirm the paint colors. She was able to find my husbands name in the system and confirmed what paint we had used prior so we could place an order for some touch up paint. She was able to put the order in but due to COVID-19 we were unable to go pick it up. About a month later I called back inquiring if we could replace the order to come and pick up our paint to have on hand for touchups. Chris the manager told me that our information was not even in the system at all. He was only able to see the two sample orders that Emilie had placed a month prior. But other than that our information was no longer in the system. We were able to get it sorted out and supposedly Chris sold me two samples of the trim and wall paint that we had originally purchased. When I got home and used it I could see that it was not the same Shane. When I had originally spoken with Emily she assured me that everything was the exact same and that it was the same item that we purchased 2 1/2 years prior. Long story short the conversation with Chris was never the less very frustrating and went on for a good 20 minutes of going back-and-forth trying to inform him that somebody in his store made a mistake and I was sold something incorrectly that I cannot use. At first he told me that I could not return the paint and that I would need to re-purchase the correct paint in the correct shin which was a semi gloss. Nobody in the store Chris nor Emilie even told me from the beginning that paint samples only come in satin. I had been under the assumption the entire time that exactly what my husband and I purchased 2 1/2years prior it was exactly what I had purchased a few days ago. Needless to say yes I'm appreciative of the fact that it was fixed but after a 20 minute argument on the phone with a supposed manager who very much lacks professional qualities my husband and I will not be returning to the store ever. I was told "we do not give things away for free" even though I was sold an item that was incorrect according to my order history. Basically he shamed me for seeking a handout which was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. Unfortunately we will be reaching out to corporate to have our review passed on to Chris's higher up as nobody should have to defend their argument for over 20 minutes when sold something incorrectly in the first place. read more

So far I've had great customer service. And when I got samples he scanned a coupon code he had without me even asking. I love that the samples are a full quart and with coupon they're about $6. Much more useful than the little $3 tins you get at Home Depot that only have a few ounces. They have a table for kids to sit at and little treats and hot chocolate. Not as kid friendly as Vista in Mission Viejo with their play area but still pretty good. read more

I was at this store 3 months ago asking for a speciality primer listed on Sherwin Williams web site. Workers were not familiar with the product and had to contact other stores to find out about it and store that had it in stock. Service OK. Yesterday afternoon, I took my painter, whose english is better than my spanish, to this store. They did not have the product. The Lake Forest Sherwin Williams person contacted the Mission Viejo Sherwin Williams Store and confirmed availability of the speciality laquer coating. My painter then requested if the Laguna Hills Sherwin Williams store had the product. The Lake Forest Sherwin Williams person replied "I confirmed the Mission Viejo Store has the product and is closer, you call the Laguna Hills store yourself!" As we were leaving, my painter was able to communicate to me that he had previous dealings with the Laguna Hills Sherwin Williams store and was more confortable with the personnel. I found my confort the same to be true for my previous experience 3 months ago. I decided to report my observation of the less than professional (borderline if not not predigicial), treatment of my painter. read more

This is one of my favorite Sherwin-Williams locations, though they don't have that many...lol. I don't go during the high times when the painters come, but I don't do that with any of the paint companies I go to. I come here for the color selection, the paint quality, and to match pre-existing paint that I have to work with. If you're a DIY person and have been directed here due to your HGTV education, then remember just ask for what you need. They will help you with any question you have, but like any place if they are mixing a lot of paint, then be patient or come back at a low time. It's the same in HD, LOWES, Dun, Vista... wherever. The prices are high and that's easy to see, however they have more/better of a selection of color than HD & LOWES. Their paint is a bit thicker and their sheen is more accurate so if you don't know the difference, then do a tester. I recently was shopping around for paint and popped into this store. I did one lap of the store and no one even asked if I needed any help. I should also note we were a group of three people aimlessly staring at paint swatches. I checked out the paints and the price was higher than I wanted. I never bought any paint or even talked to any staff about it. I may have been sold if I knew why it was better than XYZ paint. Oh well off to Lowe's, to buy Valspar it was on sale. read more

Came in on a cold Sunday and the man working there was helpful in working with us to select colors, which none of the other stores had wanted to help with. Picked up a few samples and we will definitely be back to this store for our final product!!! read more

Man I have never had such a great experience looking for paints before! James the manger was such a great help! My wife and I went to Home Depot trying to find paint and they would just say it's up to you what gray you want.. They wouldn't help to even tell us the difference between shades. But when I went into a sherwin Williams they immediately worked with me one on one and broke down each shade of gray, to help my wife and I find the right one for us! James also felt our frustration from after dealing with Home Depot (tried 8 different shades) so James out of amazing customer service said he wasn't going to charge us for some tester paints. Which was incredible nice of him. My wife and I highly recommend sherwin Williams and are now going to continue to visit this location and paint company.
