Drove the 40 mins to Morris to get away from the local breakfast places and try someplace new. What a disappointment. The server was friendly and attentive, and that's where anything positive stopped. The Gaucho skillet advertises it coming with scrambled eggs and guacamole; there was 1 tsp (literally) of guacamole and the scrambled eggs looked to have been poured in with large cubed potatoes, which were deep fried. There was little egg and it was all a thin film. The French onion soup was a bowl loaded with raw onions and water; the onions were in no way cooked the correct length of time and the broth was flavorless because of this. The food portions here are enormous so bring your appetite and a doggie bag. I ordered the vegetarian omelet with Swiss and side of hash browns. The biggest omelet ever. Very tasty. Mom got a hot meatloaf sandwich. Two slices of bread under three slices of meatloaf. Doused w brown gravy and a side of mashed potatoes. Came with a huge bowl of soup which she chose cream of broccoli. Everything was good. We ordered a to-go order of a tuna salad stuffed avocado. Our waitress disappeared for quite some time before we asked for our check. We sat for 15 min and I went up to the counter to ask to pay. Then I realized our waitress had been told to go to lunch. I think it was a miscommunication with the staff or they just forgot to cash us out before letting her go on break. The cashier was apologetic and brought us our carryout order. Here with my husband and mother in law enjoying a bowl of French onion soup. Our server, Malaya made this a wonderful experience! I was touched when she ensured my mom didn't spill her soup when putting her soup into the to go container. I loved how she made her feel special. The restaurant was relaxing and warm and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. Malaya is a keeper and we will be back! read more

Quick service and good prices but the omelette and skillets leave a lot to be desired. While the portion sizes are huge, the actual plates lack flavor. Both skillets we've tried also had way too much cheese which basically ruined the entire dish. read more

This is an old diner that has been updated and well cared for by someone. The place is clean and the staff was great. The food was very good. In fact, I'm going to compare future diners to this one. And all the previous diners will probably lose a star. This diner gets five stars. The Ingredients were fresh. The hot food was hot and the gravy just perfect. My wife is very picky and instantly said "oh yeah, new favorite place!" I agree, we will be back. You need to come here and enjoy their breakfast food. read more

Went for my Moms birthday for the advertised latte flights. The espresso machine was not working so they only had iced coffee flights ( bummer). We ended up getting the iced coffee flights...they were tasty. However, they had way to much ice, and no handles so they were very messy. Food and service are good. Great idea for all the different flights. I would come back to try the soup flights. read more

The food was great! The service was amazing. But the whole time my husband and I were eating dinner, the owner or manager or boss whatever he was, was sitting at a back booth STARING at the workers. It made me uncomfortable. I felt scared FOR THE WORKERS. Even if it were like an evaluation it was CREEPY. I would never let my daughter work for a man who stares at workers like that.. left a bad feeling... mom instincts are never wrong but I sure hope I was this time. read more

Had a French toast dish here. It was so good but instead of the caramel i did a strawberry syrup instead. Loved the strawberry syrup with it. They did not slack on the fresh fruit and it was sweet and delicious. The waitress was so friendly! Will definitely be back when in the area to try some flights. read more

I just had a wonderful experience here. Never been here before, but was recommended by the local Chamber of Commerce as I was passing through. Great food, great service! I had breakfast, Eggs Benedict, and was very happy with the portion and quality. I would definitely recommend. Staff was very nice, the place was clean and seemed to be pretty busy for a Wednesday morning. That's a good thing. They are also known for their coffe beverages and offer many types of flavor or concoctions. But I did not order coffee today. Server was great as welll as other staff. If you are driving on I-80, and just need a good sit down place, it is woth it! read more

This place made me come outta my no beef and pork for after three long years straight they make a two big ass pork chops grilled and flame kissed seasoned very well and the hospitality was excellent I even enjoyed the way tho other waiters interacted with the other customers in my earshot, very polite and made me really feel welcome and I've been back (6) times in two months read more

Came here because I heard really good things about this place. We were seated, waited about 10/15 for the waitress to take our orders. Then another 30 minutes to receive our drinks. We ordered the Greek chicken and we didn't mind waiting but it was just eh. Chicken tasted burnt and was swimming in a pool of oil. Overall impression was that the place was mediocre. We don't mind waiting as there's staffing issues everywhere but the place was pretty empty with a lot of waitresses around. I want to say thank you for allowing me to mix and match several different pieces of pies and cakes that I could take with me for Thanksgiving dinner I was going to. The desserts were delicious. We had some people that picked specific desserts and others that did little pieces of each one. I was at the restaurant on 10/17. I ordered thick French toast and got cinnamon French toast. told waitress it was ok cause I thought she didn't hear me coreectly. I got my bill and was charged for thick French toast. (10.99). the cinnamon French toast on your menu says 9.99. i said something at the register before I left, she said it was the same price. not acco to your menu I was there with family tonight, 10/18. Service is a hit or miss with waitresses. Sometimes they are really good at coming to check on you and other ones seem to forget your even their. Omelets are pretty good and my son loves the Mickey Mouse pancakes. read more

We were sat at a table with open used creamers and never got helped or talked to while at least 4 other tables who sat after us were greeted and got their drinks.
