One for our bathroom (mildew resistant) and one for our computer room. They're small windows. These type of blinders are not very hard to get a hold of especially since that is what they work on. However, since that conversation we keep getting pushed back because they are busy working on a different job or they say the product has not come in. In fact, I've had to keep texting and calling them to find out the delays. This is unprofessional! Not happy. Today they installed the blinds. Yesterday they tried to install the blinds but they never called me back so I left and as soon as I left to the gym the installers came by my house. I asked Victor why he didn't call me back. He said he had to make sure the product was there. A phone call would've been nice. Since this was just installed today and in your response to Victor The windows are not been properly installed. The blinds are supposed to have a cord/string that pulls up the blinds. However, there is no cord or string so there is no way to move the blinds/down. In fact my blinds are stuck without the cord/string. Victor I want my money back. Victor that is not true! We asked you about getting a cord/string earlier. In fact you have installed for me in the past and have put cords or strings for my blinds. I have them in my daughter's rooms and in our bedroom. However, after this dilemma Im never going to work with you again.

It was a two-person crew and communication was difficult due to a language barrier (mandarin speaking only), which made it hard to clarify details or ask questions during the process. We did use Google Translate but it only went so far. My biggest concern is the inconsistent quality of the roller shade and blind installations. Some blinds operate correctly, but others shift when adjusting them -- the headrail moves up and down whenever the tilt wand is used. Instead of correcting the mounting, a temporary workaround was used that leaves the headrail sticking out about an inch. There were also measurement and fit issues. One roller shade cassette appeared to be incorrectly sized and had to be forced into place. Several shades are not evenly aligned within the window frames, with varying inset depths that are visibly inconsistent. Additionally, one of the roller shades fails to fully close, which suggests quality or installation problems. Overall, I'm disappointed with the workmanship and finish.

Spent a good 30 minutes, measuring and remeasuring all the windows, since we are in a mobile home the windows are different sizes. When they are ready to leave and had selected our Blinds, they went over everything again and gave us a date for delivery. The date was prompt, the blinds came in and installed. The Installer, Gerard was in constant communication regarding the date to install the blinds. Texted us like he said 15 minutes before he arrived. He was very neat, installed every blind in the house and went over the instructions on how to use our blinds. I have never been more satisfied with a company as I was with Budget Blinds of Whittier and our installation. CEMAC deserves ALL the stars and positive reviews, they really came through for me with a recent…read moreLuminette shade repair when they weren't even the original installer!! I've been a loyal Hunter Douglas fan/customer for decades now and have had an overwhelmingly positive experience, but experienced a motor failure with one of my Luminette window treatments back in 8/2025. I contacted the HD retailer that I purchased the treatments from but learned that (1) it was out of warranty and (2) the Gen 1 motor/parts were discontinued as there was a "new generation" that was introduced in 2019. Supposedly, the only option was to order a new motor + track at $$ cost and attempt to reuse the existing fabric vanes. Based on that recommendation I placed the order for a new motor + track only to be told that due to a "parts shortage" the new motor + track would likely not be available until late 10/2025. This seemed suspect to me, so I reached out to CEMAC for a second opinion and connected with Gwen who informed me that she wasn't aware of any delays with orders and more importantly warned me that a new Gen 2 motor + track would NOT be compatible with my existing fabric vanes. Turns out that some Hunter Douglas rep may have provided inconsistent or incorrect information to my original dealer, but I obviously decided to cancel the replacement motor + track order immediately. I was then informed that my only option is a order a brand new system (motor + track + vanes) at a $$$$$ cost, which didn't make sense as it would end up looking.... exactly the same---such a complete waste of money and a huge disappointment that HD would not offer support for such expensive products. This is where Gwen stepped in to go above and beyond and the save the day. She was able to source a replacement Gen 1 motor directly from Hunter Douglas even when my original installer was unable to. Cost factor aside, it's also the practical and logical approach to attempt repair first as my fabric vanes were in perfect condition and it would be silly to unnecessarily replace. When the replacement motor arrived, we discovered that one of the components on the track was also damaged (likely due to the motor failure). Gwen proposed sending in the track to an authorized HD repair facility to see if it could be repaired, and only ordering a new system as a last resort. I SO appreciated this approach as it would literally save $$$$ (thousands!) if I could avoid having to order a new system. Happy to report that the repair approach worked and they were able to fix the track so that the replacement motor worked!! I had been living a fishbowl life for the past 3 months (every person/car that passed by could see clearly inside my kitchen/living area) but my exhibitionist Life of a Showgirl era is finally over! Endlessly grateful to CEMAC and Gwen in particular and will reach out to them first for any future window treatment (and it turns out flooring as well!) needs--highly recommend!!! ‍

The installation tech was also great, very professional and experienced. Everything went ahead of schedule. The installation tech noticed a minor issue with one of the blinds (which we did not even notice), and CEMAC had a new replacement blind made and the tech came back out and quickly reinstalled. This was all free to us, and we did not have to request anything - CEMAC suggested it to us because they stand by their products and workmanship. This is the kind of company I like to do business with. The blinds themselves look great and are super well-designed, we really like the options to open from the top or bottom, and we no longer have to deal with cords. Definitely recommend CEMAC as well as Hunter Douglas blinds!
